British Universities!

^ Oxford and Cambridge get the most credit for being prestigious Universities, but they aren't always top of the leader board. However they do pretty much dominate it.

They are very good education systems, and it has just become part of our culture really in the past few years that you're expected to go. Not that everyone does, but I do find that my age group is almost always assumed to get degrees.

Is there a university in the UK where I have a good chance of getting in as an International student without having to sell my soul to afford it? To study something along the lines of English?

The Universities in Birmingham encourage International students if I remember correctly. I think in particular Aston favours them.

I've pretty much got my heart set on Warwick or Birmingham.
Both require AAB, which after today I think I can do :)

I've wanted to go to Warwick since I was 14, and my English teacher told me I'd be a perfect candidate (: And in terms of what one I want, I want the University of Birmingham. Which is the campus is Edgebaston. It's beaaaautiful!

Oooo well if you can get to Warwick you deserve the whole world!

My friend got four A's and couldn't get in there.

I'm probably gonna apply to Glasgow Caledonian, Glasgow and Strathclyde.

On the topic of Birmingham, does anyone know how much notice they take of GCSE results?
It says on the website that candidates normally have 7 A* results, which I reckon I could just about pull off but I'd just like to know if they'd completely refuse me if I didn't get them :shifty.

I've heard that Birmingham are one of the worst for looking at GCSE results.
Then again, it varies. It wouldn't be the only thing they looked at, if you had absolutely amazing AS results they wouldn't reject you flat-out for having 6A* or something. But I'd say talk to some actual students at Birmingham if you go for an open day or something and ask what they got. That might be more reassuring.

You can't apply to more than 5 via UCAS. But I don't know how they do it overseas. If it's a different system or you apply direct to the Uni, I'd imagine you could apply to more.

Is it sad that I'm 15 and I already sort of know where I want to go? ahha

You can't apply to more than 5 via UCAS. But I don't know how they do it overseas. If it's a different system or you apply direct to the Uni, I'd imagine you could apply to more.

I'm pretty sure I'm applying to Cambridge, York, St. Andrew's, Edinburgh and Glasgow through UCAS, and Trinity, Dublin seperately....

Wow they are some tough unis haha.
