Ah, I love The Almost.
- paperwings.:
- I really love underOATH.
as well as Aaron Gillespie's side band, The Almost.
I think a lot of songs could be about God if you (the listener, I mean) want them to be. Lyrics are very subjective and mean different things to different people. "My Heart" is one of the few Paramore songs I like and I never once considered it to be about God.
- The Great Defector.:
- I heard My Heart is a song praising God but I could be wrong. Anyone know?
I completely agree, it's just I heard that the song was actually written in praise of God.
- druscilla didn't.:

i have heard of both of them but i havent heard any of there music. I love Red. they were the first christian band i'd ever really liked. but i love lots of different music but i hardly know any good Christian ones i hope i can find good ones form this post :)
- The.Need.:
- I had no idea that Underoath and The Almost were christian bands until recently. :-O They're really awesome to hear; I also like Red. They're kind of different.
I think it just matters on your frame of mind and how hard you think about the lryics. It really varies frome person to person. Personally, I can find Christiam meaning in almost every FF5 song. And my friend's mom thinks Switchfoot does not have any christianity in their songs, while I think that all of their songs have obvious Christian meanings.

- I think that now there are a lot of bands that are Christian, without necessarily making Christian music.
i. e., Family Force 5 is openly Christian, but don't necessarily have messages in their songs.
Well, some songs. But you get the idea.
Same deal with The Rocket Summer… and a million others I can't name off the top of my head.
Whereas Skillet, for example, has a lot of messages about God in the songs.
Know what I mean?
Same goes for Flyleaf, whom I love.
- Sterling.:
- Recently in an interview I read with Anberlin, they pointed out that the band itself is not christian, but the people in it are. I have seen this is true with most bands, even ones that are on tooth & nail records, previously known as a "christian" label.
Yeah, this goes along with what I was saying a couple posts up :cute:
- VampShadsOwns:
- The members of Good Charlotte are all Christian...but they're not a Christian band.
I love Switchfoot
- Lacey_Dreadth:
- how could I have forgotten Switchfoot?! *hits head on table*
