This happens to me everyday, multiple times a day.
The reaslly good ideas I'll record as voice memos on my phone.
But the story never works as well on paper as it does in my head.

This has only happened to me about ... a million times.
I've written drabbles, chapters, paragraphs in my head that were great.
But I could never get it the same on paper.

dude, this is the reason i can't write good haha. i actually, i can write really good when i concentrate 100% on that. its more like i picture a scene in my head, kinda like a movie, and when i try to write it just doesn't work out.

I hate when that happens, it happens all the time. And then when I try to piece together my stories the day after or whatever- they make no sense! Sad

    I think I'd be a better movie producer/director than a novelist sometimes.

The same thing happens to me. I always end up planning out stories like it's on film instead of in writing. Disgust

Also, when there's no computer handy and no paper around then I end up typing up random paragraphs on my phone. Most of those just stay there unwritten.

There always comes a certain moment in my writing where it sparks a different idea and I go off what I had originally been focusing on. I'm trying so hard to keep that from happening but it feels a little inevitable.

Every story I want to update, it's like I do a rehearsal of what will happen in my head. I change things, then I change them again, and maybe again.
When I finally get it exactly how I want it, I go to type it... And it isn't how I wanted it at all. I try to change things, but it's never right, and I am never 100% happy with the update.
But yes, it is so much easier in my head.

I get that problem too, but it’s lucky that I’m not an impatient person. I will sit and write one paragraph to perfection until I’m sure that it’s exactly how I imagined it; and if it isn’t, I re-write again until it is. I’m very particular about my word choice; and all those long hours have writing have paid off :)
I get comments telling me that they can imagine everything, but still; It’s always easier in my head.

I always have these amazing ideas but when I try to put them on paper i swear to god, It is like some really ditzy person took over and decided to high jack my brain! I can put into words out loud but if I dont say them out loud it just sounds like a 12 yr old wrote it.

    I think I'm the opposite.
I could make a story in mind and have it sound amazing but when I say it out loud it sounds like crap.

That's actually a really good idea. I think I might try doing that.

For me, when I get a new idea, I usually play it out as a movie in my head. I'll add parts, change them around and imagine the character's conversations with each other just to get the feel of how it's all going to sound.

It happens to me. I hate how I'll be sitting at work or in school and I'll have the perfect Idea's for a story I need to update or on I want to write, But right when I go to write it down some one needs me or My teacher calls on me and I forget. It really hit's a nerve with me because I've got so many good ideas...I just can't get them on paper cause I get interrupted everytime. I want to lock my self in a secluded room with a bunch of paper and mechanical pencils.

This is the only thing that ever happens to me. Ever. I don't write anymore either because of it! I'm such a talented writer in my head (stuckupbitchyay), but when I try to put it on paper (or laptop) it FAILS. F.A.I.L.S. So then I give up and all of a sudden it comes right back and I'm thinking it up again. If I try to write it, it goes awxy.

There has to be some sort of chemical/scientific/mental explenation for this! Ahh! It's worse then writers block!

    That is an awesome idea.

I have millions of stories going on in my head that I don't want to write down purely because I think I'll wreck them if I do. :(

I think it has to do with how we're limited by our vocabulary when we write. In our heads, we can imagine smells, tastes, sights and feelings on a much different level to how we portray them with words. Does that make sense?

That def. happens to me. The story I've been really working on the most lately "Hello Beautiful" only has one chapter up online, but in my head, I have the entire thing planned out, and preactically written. It's setting the ideas to print that's really the issue. It's worse than writer's block in my opinion.
