I've had names, icons and whole characters used without my permission or knowledge before. I once saw someone use my icons and a couple of unique names to make a character.

Ever since I've become a graphics maker, I've dealt a lot with credit and what you can and can't use to make your own graphics. There are so many laws against this and that, and you could get in some serious trouble if you don't follow the rules perfectly. I make all of my own icons, and it makes me really angry to see someone else use what I put a lot of hard work into without asking me at all or giving credit.

It's simple. If it's not yours, ask to use it. Credit if you get permission.

I've literally been putting stuff like All icons are mine unless otherwise stated. You may not use them without permission and credit. on ALL of my posts in open RPs, since that's where most of my stuff has been taken.

I agree that something should be done about it.

Speaking of images, I have a question. Say the RP is a closed RP, do the images still have to be 100x100 pixels if they're only displayed in the very first post? Facepalm Just to be sure.

^ I don't think so. If they're only being used once, I think it can be larger than 100x100.

Okay, good, thanks :) Just checking, cause the rule in the first post got me a little confused.

I know the last post on this thread was made 4 months ago, but I wanted to say something. I don't know if anyone'll pay any attention to this, but whatever; here it is.

It might be pretty hard/troublesome to prove who created the character/plot/etc first, as well as to decide whether the similar characters/plots/etc was copied/stolen/etc or not. Or at least, that's basically why Mibba doesn't have a rule for profile layout plagiarism — Mibba layout coders have to deal with that themselves, unfortunately File (I'm just saying; don't bother taking this seriously :p) — so I guess there's a chance that it would apply to this situation too? But I wouldn't know. Maybe roleplay plagiarism's easier to prove.

Either way, instead of such a rule, could certain threads just be made private? Like, for example, if I make a closed RP between me and another user, could Dujo make a way for that roleplay thread to be available only to me and that other user, so if someone else wants to look at the thread, they wouldn't have permission to view it? Unsure

But honestly, if anyone's sick of people stealing their roleplaying ideas on Mibba, maybe you should just try roleplaying on Tumblr, or a roleplaying site/forum, or via email, or via some chat, etc. Shifty

Is there a way to edit the title/description of a thread after posting? I looked in the knowledge base but couldn't find anything about it.

Yup. Just message a Board Mod and ask if they can edit it for you. Make sure you include a link to the thread and what you want changed.

I've been on mibba for six years now and in my entire time of being on here, I've never heard of being able to put an age restriction on a thread. I'm sure that if you could, there would be an option for it when you were creating a new topic.

By description, they just mean that you can post what your roleplay is about, pretty much whatever you feel is essential to the roleplay other than actually posting the first post of your roleplay. It's pretty much just like a cover page for your roleplay. Cute

Yep, center is exactly what you put and you just replace the word 'center' if you want to change it to left or right. :)
