I know it's not my fault, I can't control it, but I sometimes almost feel bad/ashamed of the fact. It makes me feel like I'm inherently racist or something, without even meaning to be, if that makes sense? Shifty
Well in your case, it doesn't really sound racial. I mean, I really on find myself attracted to black/ African guys. Every once in a while a cute white guy (but that's rare), not really Asians. Some Hispanics. But I'm not a fan of light skinned black guys and half white and half black boys. The mix doesn't look pure enough for me. I like pure (close to pure, you know what I mean) blooded guys a lot. They're the most attractive. But Hispanic and Black mix Naughty Hell yeah. That is, unless they're ugly.

I just really like dark skinned guys. It's like crack for me. The darker, for me, the better. I think it's sexy. Not too much of a fan of super light guys. I don't like to see the color of their veins or the blood rushing to their face.

I've never really been attracted to any other ethnicity other than my own. I couldn't ever see myself dating someone with dark skin and it's not that I dislike people with darker skin than mine, it's just that I see no attraction at all. This too could be purely based on the fact that I'm in a relationship and there aren't a lot of dark skinned people where I live; people don't really appreciate them around here.

It makes sense. I used to think that way. But then I stopped. I can't help who I'm attracted to whether it's based on race, age, looks, gender, etc.

^ That's very true. It's interesting looking at it from a psychological point of view as well, and the whole stereotyping. I often wonder if it's subconscious stereotyping in my head that causes me to be attracted/unattracted to certain guys.

Like, I do occasionally find black guys hot, but I always wonder if it's partly the stereotype that comes with it. I'm being honest, I hope this doesn't come across as rude. Like, the assumption that a black guy won't like the same music as me, would have different interests, background etc, and maybe that's why people just seem to be more/less attracted to a type.

Asian guys as well, there's the stereotype of them slightly more nerdy. Nerdy isn't really my type in a guy, so maybe that's my initial subconscious prejudice that the Asian guy will be slightly nerdy, so I'm automatically not attracted to him.
This is just ramblings by the way, I'm just pondering how my mind words Cute

I can see where you're coming from on this, but that's not how I feel. But I understand what you mean.

Besides, I've been around too many black people to make those kinds of assumptions. I know black guys that like rock to hard core rap (Something I must admit I tend to like. All the cussing and aggressive delivery, it's a guilty pleasure)

Nor do I, unless there's a reason for mistrusting them. Where I'm from, there's been a lot of scandal regarding African Americans and Nigerians, mostly illegal immigrants, scamming people in the community, throwing the 'R' word around and constantly accusing white people of being racist towards them for the simplest of things. Disgust

That's not to say that they're all that way though.

I really like white boys. Shifty However, there's hardly any where I am. I usually go for the ones with light skin and brownish hair. I think black guys are pretty sexy too.

I don't think I could ever be sexually attracted to Asians, Indian, Arabic men. They just don't do it for me.

And for girls, I love white girls with blonde or brown hair and Hispanic girls. Shifty

I know a lot of Nigerians too. I guess you never know if they're truly being mistreated until you're in their shoes.

I believe that too stands for white people. There was an incident last week where I live. Every month or two, between 8am and 9am, this one store has a major sale where all their products drop to below 10 euro; beautiful jackets that would initially be 20 euro, drop. At all of these sales there are a lot of Nigerians that turn up and this weekend a white lady got accused of being racist by the Nigerian community. Why? Because she too wished to purchase a knickers.

What had happened was Nigerian woman were browsing a rail of underwear and the Nigerian men, presumed to be with the ladies, had formed a circle around the railing, so others couldn't get in. This white lady came to look and asked them to move. They ignored her. She asked again. Ignored. She said to the men that they couldn't block an entire rail the way they were if their not purchasing anything. She was accused by those men and woman of being racist.

    /off topic. Disgust

Yeah, it is a little off topic. But some Nigerians can be like that (said a Nigerian guy to me before, explaining why he wouldn't marry a Nigerian woman).

But you don't want me to get into race. I'm notorious for pissing people off. File

I'm attracted to pretty much everything: white, Hispanic, Asian, Indian, Arab, etc. I don't really look at race in determining whether or not someone is attractive--just if I think they're cute.

I've never really been attracted to black guys, though. Except for Taye Diggs. And Usher. XD

I'm kind of the same. I'm not attracted to certain races in general, but I can attracted to individuals who are of that race.

I like Asian dudes, especially Korean guys. (prob. because I am korea) xD

I like how they stay youthful and age really well. They are also sweet and caring. I also like their milky white skin. In Love

Yeah, African's age well too, its graceful. Asians do age well also, I have to admit.

And I like dark eyes too, or brown, or light brown. As long as they're brown.

I've thought about it and I'm not sure ethnicity plays a huge role in attraction for me. Most of the things I find attractive in a person could (and in the past have) apply to an individual of any race.
I have to agree with you on the brown eyes thing though. In Love

I'm attracted to tall people. Ethnicity doesn't generally play apart other than the fact that most indian boys (that's my ethnicity) are kinda short. A huge chunk of them are shorter than me

Errrr Ethnicity is not determined by Phenotype. It's determined by culture. If it was determined by phenotype then all Asians would be one ethnicity, all black people one ethnicity, etc. You're all talking about which phenotype you like not ethnicity...

^Hm. You're actually right. Think I thought about that after I posted actually. A better word than phenotype or at least a simpler one could be "race" though. Race =/= ethnicity, as race is biological and ethnicity is cultural.
Of course, several comments have addressed both, so it isn't totally unnoticed.
