Errr i just had to put this, i have a weakness for foreign guys(Guys from the UK and ect... [even though i never dated one >.<] but i mostly date caucasians, and i dated a black guy once, but then he kinda pissed me off because he liked that i was a "white girl" that he could show off to his freinds and i felt like he liked that i was white more than he liked me for me, but yeah i guess mainly caucasian but i think all people are beautiful unless their attitudes ugly and there being a dumb steriotype or just plain ugly, im sorry to say that a persons ugly but some people can try to keep thereselves up, and before anyone ask i know im probley not that pretty >.< but i have a boy freind and don't really care what people think File
To me, as far a attraction goes, most of my boyfriends and girlfriends were Caucasian, or Spanish looking Caucasian. I've also dated many Spanish boys and a few Asian. I agree, with one of the comments above, it you have a nice jaw line and a nice face, race doesn't really matter all too much. Honestly, though, I think the sexiest trait someone can possess is a senses of humor.

To the comment above, I agree, I've dated boys from different countries, accents are a major turn on. Especially British, German, Russian, Spanish(any Latin American accent) and Australian. I recently got out of an 8 month relationship with a German boy I met , he was from Germany.

  • I tend to be physically attracted to white people, occasionally a black person, but I've never really liked a white guy for their personality. I know that your race has little to do with personality, but most white guys I know seem really vulgar and immature to me. The black men I’ve known tended to have way better personalities than the Caucasians.

But, of course, I can never really resist an Asian boy. They always seem to have a charming personality/behavior, and they're adorable. (Oh, and Japanese hair is the best.)

I can agree with you on that. I'm not trying to sound racist or anything, but something about white guys really get on my nerve. They can be more racist and/or racially offensive and that's a turnoff for me since I'm black.

But I don't find white guys that attractive.

    This statement blows my mind.

I'm sorry, I laughed because I didn't know whether you were being sarcastic or serious.

  • No, I'm being serious; I know you prefaced it with saying you weren't trying to be racist, but really, that's how it ended up turning out.

  • ^My definition of racist means you dislike a race for no reason, or for a reason that is not logical. I don't dislike white guys for no reason. I don't like them because most of the ones I know are racist, or I'm not attracted to them. I don't like racist people.
So, I don't see how I'm being racist, although, you may have a different definition.

  • ^...What?

It's... really not that hard to come up with a reason, or excuse to hate. The fact that you have hate for an entire race of people because of your distaste for a portion of it's people... that would be racism. I may not be your definition, but I seriously doubt I'm alone in that assumption.

It shouldn't matter if it's blind hate or hate for a reason, if you're generalising based on race, and hate that race as a result... that's racism.

As for the topic's original question... I don't really judge based on race when it comes to stuff like this. I do have a bit of a predisposition for redheaded white girls, especially gingers, but I have no problem finding anyone else attractive. Personality is much more important to me. Musical taste, especially. If they like Carissa's Wierd, or Godspeed You! Black Emperor... I'd probably like them regardless of how they look at all.

I'm sorry, but having your own definition for the word "racist" doesn't wipe your slate clean of any actually-racist comments you make. Racism is when you generalise a whole race with a certain characteristic, whether it's from assumption or personal experience, or make a blanket statement like "I don't like white guys". I imagine you haven't met every white guy in the world, so to blanket them (I should say, us) not only with the statement that they're racist but also with the confession you dislike them in general, is racist.

  • ^ I'm sorry you guys, but what does attraction have to do with hate? I think the two of you feel more personally offended more so than what I said. The two of you are blowing it way out of proportion.
Okay, what I should have said was "something about the white guys I know, gets on my nerves" and then the select few that I don't know, but are openly racist. I don't like racist people therefore, in most cases, white guys are a turn off to me. Not just because of the racism, but because I'm not really attracted to their physical features either.

How you, Alex, share what ethnicity you're usually attracted to.

  • I'm not really attracted to any race in particular and I don't give a huge amount of thought to looks in general (I've dated some gorgeous guys and some very "unattractive" guys by conventional standards; personality always overrides appearance for me). I do have kind of a slight leaning toward Hispanic guys, but I think that's mostly because the area I live in is about 70% or so Hispanic. I've dated only white and Mexican guys but that's not a conscious choice and I'd obviously date a black, Asian, etc. guy. I think all races are equally attractive, and none more so than another.

I do have a huge ridiculous obsession with red hair and freckles (probably because I'm a natural ginger myself, so I guess I'm just conceited xD) though, and that's mainly a white guy thing.

You said "I don't like white guys", that doesn't imply any attraction connotations at all. You also gave a reason which you generalised to the white male population, from the handful of personal experiences you'd had. That might come across as reasonable to you, but it's still racist.

I made a post on the previous page, but in no way did I generalise anyone.

Is the topic not "What ethnicity are you attracted to"? So if I said I don't like white guys, wouldn't it makes sense to apply it to that context?
And I did correct myself by saying "The white guys that I've known".

  • ^The fact remains that if you say you dislike an entire ethnicity, I'd say there is a bit of racism hidden in there. At it's core, that is exactly what racism is.
    January 2nd, 2012 at 11:36pm
  • ^ So because I dislike racist white guys, I'm racist for disliking them?
    January 4th, 2012 at 01:52am
  • ^ No, you generalised your contempt for the racist white male population to white males in general. That's what's racist.
    January 4th, 2012 at 06:36pm
  • I'm not really atracted to one race in particular, but I have to say I love Asian guys. Especially Japanese and Korean. In Love I have a thing for tall, skinny guys with black hair and dark eyes. I have no idea where it came from, though. I remember when I started watching Korean dramas, and saw Lee Min Ho for the first time. Embarassed

I love Puertoricans. Not just because I am one, but because we latinos are really a mix up of pretty much every other race on the planet and here on the island you can literally find any type of guy. :)

I believe I corrected myself. My correction is what I truly meant. Does that still make me racist?
    January 5th, 2012 at 01:11am
  • ^If your dislike was really geared towards anti-racism, rather than acting racist yourself, why are you singling out only the whites?

Is someone who makes a racist remark, but then corrects themselves to avoid retribution, a racist?
