Not once you have been given a story to comment on. After you have, you should be able to reselect any option you would like before you submit your story into the pool.

That's because the comment swap feature has been glitching for a long time now, so barely anyone uses it. People have waited for months to receive a comment, and it's likely that will continue until the feature is updated.

- I've never really had issues but I've left about 18 comments and only have gotten 10 in return... and its been like this for about two months...
Many have been experiencing a glitch for almost a year now, unfortunately. 
Dujo has a lot on his plate. Nope, there's nothing you can do. Because the majority of participants are experiencing a glitch, they are unable to leave comments, so we need to wait until the feature is updated.

When I first started using it I got two comments in return for the two I'd left within a few days, and I was very happy. But now, I've post ten more and have still only gotten those two in return. That's because the feature is glitching for the majority of users, so barely anyone can actually use it. People have waited many months to receive just one comment, and unfortunately we just need to wait until the feature is updated before it will work properly again.

If your comment meets the requirements, then it's most likely that the comment swap is glitching for you too (it's glitching for the majority of the site). You'll have to wait until it is fixed/updated.

How do I select the story I want commented on? I've used the feature without receiving one back myself. Is there a possibility I did it wrong? My comment was decently lengthy.
That's a very common glitch, and it won't be fixed until Dujo updates the comment swap feature.

- It's my turn to comment on a story. On the comment swap page where it's supposed to show the link for the story I should comment is just blank. There's nothing to click on. It's been that way for a few months.
I've even received alerts telling me that I have a story that's waiting for me to comment on, but there's nothing. :/
