Comment Swap

There should be an option on the comment swap page that allows us to choose whether we want to read het, slash, femmeslash, or more than one type. Just a suggestion. (:

I commented on a story and now the comment swap thing won't change for me. Keeps saying I have to comment on that one particular story after I already did.

Edit: nvm it worked fine now.

This is awesome.

I noticed that I sometimes get the same story more than once. Is there something wrong with me or is there a way to prevent this?

I actually really like this a lot. I hope it stays around, because I really like it and through it, I might actually be able to improve my writing...

I love this, but i have been keeping track of my subscribers and have noticed that just because someone comments (where often you can tell they have read the first 2 chapters only) they don't actually subscribe to any of the stories. just thought i would point that out.

I don't see what the problem is with that. It's the comment swap, not the subscription swap. It's still up to the individual to decide if they want to be informed of updates and such. (I personally never subscribe to stories because I don't want emails or alerts.)

No i totally get that its 'comment swap' i was just pointing it out.
Though if you don't subscribe to stories how do you keep up with updates on stories you like?

I tend to only read oneshots. If I really want to go back, I bookmark it.

I really like the story comment swap.
I tend to have trouble finding stories I'm interested in when I just search, but I love how I can mark "Original Fiction" and it'll throw one out there for me.
If I don't like it, at least I gave the story a fair shot and I get an opportunity to help someone else become a better writer, while I get the same in return.

I love this idea but there's faults in its system. Most of the comments are not meaningful and they just say things like 'oh I had to read this for the story comment swap and its not my taste sorry I have nothing to say' and then it's 200 characters, which is a really easy number of characters to reach, and its not actually commenting on the story.

I agree. But what you can do then is send a link of the story to Audrey T or Kurtni, and they can help you sort it out. Or you can come to one of the Story Editors and we'll try to help you out as well.

Once all staff is actually staff, we're going to be regulating this section much more, and it should work smoothly then, but just let us know now, in private, where/who and we'll help!

Oh okay, I am a story editor as well but I didn't think I could really do anything about it. I did report the comment, and then I noticed the commenter has been going around to multiple stories and giving horrible comments. I'll PM Audrey though, thanks :)

Oh right. Well, since we don't have our powers we can't delete the comment or anything, so then it'd be best to just contact Audrey or Kurtni.

I commented on one of the stories I was supposed to, but it still won't change. It still says I haven't commented yet. I think I'm starting to annoy the author...

Have you made sure the comment is over 200 characters?

I didn't exactly count them... o.o
