@ Aly Jones
Okay, one more thing, I've been thinking about this story a lot lately; I need to get the ideas rolling before I forget about them. So I want to remind you (in case you've forgotten) that the beach takes place on the Sunday after their graduation (which was on Thursday.) And second, I remember you mentioning that you have a surprise you want to include at the beach... you still remember that, right, Aly? Third, I was wondering about your plans for Clumsy Chris because god dammit, I love that guy! Is he leaving for Massachusetts or is he going to stay?
@ Kukilein.
Alright, so I have been thinking of ways to kind of create more of a dramatic flair that would spark up tension and anger within the three girls; and I just thought of one by random. I was just sitting on my couch and doing my homework and this idea just suddenly popped up and it involves Alison's older brother, Austin. So idk why but I've been into the idea of Blake seeking Austin for emotional support.
So I've been thinking about a scenario where like maybe a few years back during high school, Blake was feeling the pressure that every teenage girl (not every, but like a lot) felt or will feel when they are in HS. It is the issue of virginity and stuffs like that. So Blake kind of feels the pressure of losing her virginity even though she's never really come across the right guy to make it happen. Being in the volleyball team and all, she maybe gets influenced by the "in crowd" to do it. I guess it's not the reputation that she is vying for but the sexual curiosity and experience she is seeking; so maybe she kind of turns to Austin for that kind of help?
Okay, I have a point to this, I promise! So, maybe Austin and Blake doesn't say anything about it to anyone, so no one really knows. Everyone at this point (in the story) still thinks that Blake is a virgin, so maybe later on, she gets put in a situation where she accidentally reveals to one of her brothers that she has knowledge about the topic of sex and they kind of force the confession out of her. And I guess one of her angry brothers find Austin and like idk, attempts to beat him up or something? I, at first, thought maybe Patrick could do it and it will create a very big tension between two best friends (since of course Steven will get pissed that his cousin took a hit from his bestie.) But then I thought maybe Ronald will do it instead cuz he always looks out for his sister (feel like him and Blake are the closest). And maybe the rousing going on gets Allison mad at Blake that Ronnie gave her brother a punch. IDK? And another part of her would feel betrayed that Blake, her best friend would keep this from her? Yeah.
So I am soooo sorry for typing a whole shit ton at you guys. Tell me what you think of this particular idea. And I am looking forward to develop more. So Aly, we might need to discuss more about how our characters interrelate, because I feel like Blake and Allison have a lot to connect to, and a lot of instances or situations that can be created; but I need to find more ways to connect Blake and Lucy together. It's like how they act towards each other, the secrets they've shared, or whatever events that made them closer than ever or etc. I know that Blake and Lucy already have this thing where Blake gives Lucy so much shit for liking Clumsy Chris and I guess Blake gives Clumsy Chris so much shit for well... being Clumsy Chris. And the whole The Vampire Diaries referencing also helps their friendship too. It's little things like that that makes a particular friendship seem more believable.
I am so sorry for being too needy to discuss this. It's just that I am like obsessed with character development and interactions, and little details like that get me!
