I have the icons and I am on internet explorer, so I don't think it would be the web browers causing the problem. Unless it is an older version you have. Mr. Green

I wasn't sure where to ask this but I suppose this thread will be okay? Anyway, I just posted a drabble that was exactly 100 words, but for some reason the word count says 102. I checked it in Word and even took the time to manually count it and it is 100 words. Does anyone know why the word count might be off?

Normally this is not something that would bother me whatsoever, but I spent a lot of time making sure it was exactly 100 words because I wanted to write a "real" drabble, so yeah. XD

Ah, I do have an older version. I don't like the newer version's layout so when it automatically upgraded me I downgraded back to the one I was on. I guess I have my answer then. Smile

Maybe it counts the title or subtitle.

That's what I thought too, but the title is one word and the subtitle is three words lmfao. XD Ah well, not a huge deal. It just irked me a tiny bit but it's no biggie.

I'm pretty sure it's that the site counts contractions as two words. A lot of my word counts are way off from what I have because MS Word doesn't.

I just checked the story and there are two contractions, which would explain 102 words. Grr, that kind of sucks because there's nothing I can do about it, but thank you for the information! :) That never would have occurred to me.

I guess I could take off the status bar to make it smaller but I don't know, it's still thick looking.

Doesn't go on Mibba for a couple months, stays the same as it was for years. Active on Mibba, it changes. Gets used to changes, and leaves Mibba for like 2 weeks, Mibba changes again, and freaks out.

Thanks for explaining I thought I typed the website address wrong.

I'm having an issue with the mobile version. If I'm on "My Mibba" on a mobile and I click to navigate My Mibba, I can't click on 'Stories' because that ad moves to the top layer and gets in the way. It's annoying but I can work around it.

Another issue I have with this new new Mibba thing is that if you're on My Mibba:
the top panel has homepage, stories, poems, magazines, articles, etc.
the my mibba panel has updates, messages, profile, articles, stories, poems, etc.
and the updates panel has articles, stories, poems, books, etc.

I can't remember if it was the same before or not. I just think it'd look better if there was one pattern for it. Like, if each panel read across with stories, poems, blogs, etc in the same kind of order and not so all over the place.

I don't know if this is going to be fixed, but I know it's been mentioned before. Whenever I go to preview a blog layout it takes me to the members page and I've tried it both yesterday and today.

I like it so far. It's a bit too wide for me, but I suppose you've heard that already. And I sort of miss the orange. It seems that all websites are blue and white.

And I've been wondering, has Mibba seen a boost of activity because of all the changes? Or has activity gone down?

    @ eight letters late.

The activity for the site is...lacking. In some parts it's more active, like articles and books, but most of the time blogs and the forums are really inactive.

But to be fair, that was happening before a lot of the changes were made as well.

You should know that making them work for IE will encourage the use of IE.
    That's very bad, Dujo.
    We all know this. D:

I have to be honest, I don't like this layout, I was one of those mibbian who wasn't keen on the "old-new" layout too.

I don't see why there was any reason to change Mibba at all, the old layout was safe the way it was.
as for mobile version, I can just say I have no need for that, I use my mobile for mobile thing mostly, or else I play games. websites should stay on laptops and computers to play, in my opinion.

I know there might be no chance that it'll ever get back to the old and awesome mibba layout, but I just have one request..
PLEEEEAAAASSSEEE! bring back the old layout maker for stories, the new one is bad and not easy to use. I can't figure out how to make a layout like those I used to have.. Sad

I'll just have to wait till either someone puts a good tutorial out or something else magic happen before posting new stories :/ 'Coz I cannot use the new layout maker.

oh. and the topic boards are too narrow. it ruins the signatures and look ugly.

But just because you don't go on Mibba on your phone, doesn't mean other users don't. A lot of users wanted a mobile version, or an app, and Dujo made one because of the demand for it.

I stated my opinion, I didn't say that it should be gone or no one should be allowed to use it. I stated my opinion about the mobile app. I have my free will to do that.

I wasn't trying to say you couldn't voice your opinion. I was simply pointing out why it's there, that's all. I'm sorry if you thought I was being rude, I wasn't trying to be.
