New new Mibba

well you sounded that way. it sounded like I'd offended all those who love the mibba mobile app thingy, and that I complained that I didn't wanted it there. which I didn't. if ppl want an mibba app, good for them and cool. I just don't want to use it on my mobile.

If you don't want to use the mobile Mibba when on your phone, there's an option to use the full (regular) site. It should be located on the top-right corner of the screen when you connect through your cell. Right next to the "My Mibba" box.

will that make this mibba on the internet look a little more normal? else it isn't a useful knowledge since I haven't installed the app on my cell at all <.<

There is no Mibba app. When you log onto Mibba through your phone, you're automatically taken to Mibba's mobile site (which is basically the full site, but listed in a singular column so there's less shifting about the screen).

figured out there wasn't an app, aha! : D but did as you said and shouldn't have done that, now it looks as dumb as this layout does on this site :( and I can't change it back.. I think..
why need to change the layout at all? :(
I haven't had any harder layouts to figure out than this :/
it took me 3 days on the old-old one to learn it all and to navigate around like a pro.
I haven't on this one yet, and I'm not sure I ever will :(
I'm coming less and less on the site I love the most to spent time at :(

The layout was changed to help accommodate the site's new features (both the ones all members can benefit from and the ones the site's staff uses to help keep the site moderated) and upcoming updates.

From the first update to this one, nothing has changed location-wise. Everything is still exactly where it was before, so if you give it a try, there'll be no trouble adjusting. But of course, as always, the choice to use the site or not is yours.

true it's all where it used to be but many things has changed, the way it looks is really weird, and the story layout maker, is confusing and not easy to use, I just used 3 hours making a layout that looking somewhat like I wanted it to :/

and the new profiles are plain, I loved the way you could make them different with CSS and HMTL. I know they're still there but they're secondary and not the first thing you see when you click on the username link :/ really not as it used to be.

some said it looked plain and colorless and I have to give those ppl right.
I will still be using mibba, I think, I've been here for so many years..
but you should consider making it optional about what layout you want to use..

There is already at least one tutorial up about how to make story layouts, and it's really great. I use it all the time.

Also, when this update happened, I thought everything looked weird too. But after a few days of going on the site frequently, I adjusted and it seems totally fine now.

could you PM me a link to that tutorial 'Coz I haven't found it, I've been used to knowing how to do with the old-old one :/

I guess it depends on how quickly ppl adapt to new things, I don't do that quickly, maybe never :/

You should check out the Layout forum. It has an FAQ thread that's full of info, and you can ask any questions about the layout maker. This tutorial seems to help a lot of users.

darkfallenangel sendet me a link to a tutorial I understand it better now also the size on this size weren't correct on my laptop so fixed that too.

but it still can't beat the old-old one, you should still think about making it optional.. :)

I agree, the choice to pick the layout or vote for a layout would be wonderful.

Also, to the layout people or what have you, is it possible to get this layout centered? I'm over it when it comes to navigating it's fine, but the fact that it's on the left is still urking me. Otherwise, I'm okay with the changes, it got me discouraged but nothing I can do about it. Oh well. Just.. is it possible?

How do you change your profile picture? It's probably so simple but I just don't know how to do it...

Go to My Mibba > on the light blue My Mibba bar click Photos > next to whichever photo you like, there should be a "Set as profile photo" button, or something of the sort.

I have a problem about the story layouts. My monitor screen is fairly wide, and this shows whenever I open up a story now. Checking on a story on my laptop showed that layouts usually take up the whole page. I checked this with a friend, too... On my computer there are blue strips down the sides of the page. Is there a way to fix this?

blue stripes? it sounds like your lap is broke not mibba :/ as for the other problem have you tried ctrl & - ? it helped me, It was like that on mine too I did that and it helped :)

I'm still getting used to it, still. I really like it!
It's uh... easier to use and cleaner?
And I'm glad you removed the woman in the mibba logo coz it makes the site look more like a girl site or something.

It might be that your screen is zoomed out. Try hitting crtl+0 - I think that's what it is for PCs. Or checking the zoom in your browsers settings. (If you let me know which browse you're using, I can tell you how to do that.)
