Zach chuckled quietly before shrugging slightly and smiling a bit. "How about we go to the mall or the skate park or something?" he suggested, tilting his head to the side, "Or we can just go to a regular park, with all those kiddie toys and scare off the kids." Of course, he was just kidding about the last part. Scaring kids wasn't exactly something that he preferred to do, as he knew how much simple things like that could trouble a kid. After all, his father leaving had pretty much troubled him when he was a kid and he still hadn't forgiven the man.

Lily blinked a few times before rolling her eyes slightly. "No wonder your headache's killing you," she said before sighing and shaking her head. "I'll make sure to get the notes for the classes that you end up skipping." She was pretty good at doing that; since she was a rather good student, the teachers trusted her when she said that Josh wasn't feeling well and would easily give her any notes that the male had missed out on.

Addy shrugged as Zach threw out a few suggestions. "I don't care," she answered him, "we can do whatever you want!" She was tempted to add "as long as I get to spend time with you," but that would've been over the top. He didn't feel that way about her and she just had to get used to it... "Let's not scare any kids though! That could be traumatizing!" She but her lip slightly as she saw Zach's change of expression. She hugged him, ignoring the nasty looks of other girls in the hallway.

Josh smiled at Lily and ruffled her hair a little. "I may have admitted you're my sidekick, but I'm petty sure you are. Not a bad thing, but I always know you have my back when I need you!" He explained to her and laughed. "Just saying... You're the best!" He hugged her quickly, but not for long since he didn't like possible hookups seeing him with another girl - best friend or not.

Zach blinked, surprised by the sudden hug. It wasn't often that there was actual physical contact between the two, so he enjoyed it for a moment, returning her hug before releasing her and grinning. "We'll go to the park, then," he mused before shrugging slightly. "We haven't been there since we were, what, ten?" He chuckled quietly. They had been friends for a very long time and had never really gone longer than a few days with being angry with each other. She really was the only person, aside from his mother, that he could count on.

Lily sighed softly at the quick hug, knowing why it didn't last for long. She forced a smile to her lips before rolling her eyes. "Of course I'm the best," she mused quietly before looking towards her class, glad that she wouldn't have to stop by her locker. "Anyways, you go ahead and go to the nurse. You keep hanging around me and you'll lose any potential dates." She hated saying that, but she knew it was true. She also knew that she'd end up with a lot of enemies - more so than she already had, because most girls were easily jealous of even seeing her talking to him.

Addy smiled as she breathed into his warmth in the hug. It wasn't often that she got to hold him like this, even if she wished it could happen more often. They were friends, best friends even, but their boundaries were set at cheeky words, nothing more. No real contact aside from that... "I know!" She laughed, "it'll be a nice change going to the park." Man, she wished they could go back to when they were ten. Back then, she was the only girl in his life - she technically was if she considered girls that stayed longer than one night, but still... "Gosh, I wish we were still ten."

Josh smiled as Lily said exactly what he was thinking when he pulled away from the hug faster than what was custom. He felt a little bad that she admitted it, because he knew she hated the way that he acted when she wasn't around. He almost hated it himself... "I know, can't lose any of those!" He laughs as if it didn't bother him to see her so annoyed by it. "Thanks for always understanding," he said.

Zach smiled slightly at her words before teasingly ruffling her hair and laughing softly. "I wish we were, too," he mused quietly. Those were the simpler times in their lives, where nothing really mattered besides when the ice cream truck would come by the park when they were there. The next day didn't matter and the day before didn't matter. All that mattered was what had been happening at the specific moment. He shrugged those thoughts away, finding them pointless. They weren't ten years old anymore. "At least we can act like we're children for a while when we go."

Lisa gave a small smile, though it felt slightly forced. Soon shrugging, she simply said, "That's what I'm good at." She ran a hand through her hair before glancing around. Soon sighing, she bit down on her lip and looked back at him. "I'm gonna go ahead and head to class. I'll see you later." She turned, waving over her shoulder at him as she made her way inside the classroom. Class wouldn't start for another ten to fifteen minutes, but she had felt rather awkward out there in the hallway - which wasn't exactly unusual.

Addy sighed a little as he ran his fingers through her hair. She had often wondered what it would feel like to be with him as more than just friends - in fact, she wished for it - but she had to separate her feelings from the reality of him whenever he was around... He thought of her as nothing more than a friend and she might as well get used to it... "Yeah, we'll be the best little ten year olds on the playground!" She laughed.

Josh had felt ultimately awkward standing there with his best friend. He didn't know where it came from, but there was always this sinking feeling that came about whenever she brought up the way that he was a player... That was only from the way that she looked at him with annoyance and contempt every time he spoke of another girl. It made him not so proud of what he did, but this was life, wasn't it? "Right, I'll see you later, Lil!" He called.

Zach gave a grin to her words and nodded slightly. "Exactly!" he said before laughing quietly and shaking his head. Sometimes, they were rather strange when they hung out. They could either be really childish or really awkward or somewhere in between. He didn't mind most of the time, though when it came to awkwardness, he wasn't quite sure what to do. Looking around the halls, he gave a quiet sigh, noticing how they were already starting to clear up - meaning that class would start soon. "Want me to walk you to your class?" He looked at her, arching an eyebrow.

Lily bit her lip after hearing his words. She shook them off before sliding into her seat, resting her head on her desk. She felt like she had a headache, but she knew it was only because of the stress of having to act like she had no feelings for Josh. Not to mention she was constantly worried over him when he partied so much. There was also her jealousy of other girls when they could be with Josh and she couldn't. She shook all of these thoughts away, not wanting to think about it anymore. It would just make her head hurt more in the end.

Addy smiled a lot when she was with Zach and she was immensely happen currently. She liked having plans with Zach - especially when those plans accounted for trying to not be awkward when they were together. She hated things when they got awkward. Part of her felt like he was hers, in a weird kind of way, so when the awkwardness set in, she always feared he would "leave" her. It was stupid, she knew, but she couldn't help thinking about Zach like that. She was still caught off guard by his question. "Uh - sure! I mean... You don't have to..." She stuttered. "I wouldn't want you to lose any potential dates here..." She frowned as she thought about it.

Josh could sense the oddness in the way that his best friend was acting, but he wasn't sure how to go about handling it... He was used to her mood swings... Not that he ever knew what had sparked them... He almost wanted to follow after her and talk to her about it, but he denied himself that. He knew she would possibly be emotional and he didn't want to handle that. If there was anything he hated, it was emotions,.. Usually fake ones that got in the way of living. He sighed. Sleeping the day away sounded like a very good option.

Zach blinked a few times at her words before sighing softly and shrugging. "I suppose you have a point there," he muttered softly. Sometimes he hated that about himself; the fact that he would put his own sexual needs above his own best friend's needs. Shaking those thoughts away, he grinned. "Well, at least we'll get to hang out after school. So, I'll see you then?" He noticed the frown on her face and felt slightly bad about his own decision; it wasn't like he'd actually point that out, though.

Lily sighed softly and moved to sit up, leaning back in her seat. Running a hand through her hair, she glanced around the room. Biting her lip, she tried to force away her thoughts. There was no point in thinking them, after all. Josh and her weren't even together; he didn't even know about her feelings for him. Hell, he didn't even believe in feelings like the ones she felt for him! She felt like she was torturing herself with these thoughts and wanted to get rid of them.

Addy sighed a little as she smiled at Zach before walking away from him. Of course she had set herself up for failure with him... She knew how he was, yet still she had secretly hoped that his response to her would've been different. She hoped that when she refused to let him walk with her for fear of losing his dates, she had hoped he would've told her it didn't matter... Who was she kidding?! She was only her best friend after all. No big deal... Still she wanted to scream. Did he not see it? Did he not feel the warmth every time she was beside him like she did? Of course not. "I just wish you'd get it... Love exists!" She whispered under her breath as she made her way to first period.

Josh made his way to the nurse, his head still pounding excruciatingly. It almost felt like the way he was feeling. Hellooo? Anyone home in there? it was like his mind was there knocking on his conscious for what he did. Seriously, it was like his mind was telling him to get a brain, not be so stupid as he had been. Sure, he had a kickass night the night before, filled with alcohol and good sex, but that wasn't exactly punishable was it? No, it was just Lily who made him feel so regretful of it because she was his best friend. He had woken up so satisfied, and seeing him had made the guilt set in... Like a child scolded by a parent. He knew she was looking out for him, but he wished she didn't... She was going to make him crazy with all of these guilty thoughts...

Zach sighed quietly as he made his way through the halls to his class. Honestly, though, he just wanted to skip the classes for the day. He could always just show up at the end of the school day to pick up Addy to go to the park. But, he was sure that she'd probably be looking for him at lunch, since they usually ate lunch with a small group of their other friends. Maybe one or two other people, every now and then. Otherwise, it was just the two of them, though. He didn't mind that, considering they were best friends. But, he wasn't quite sure if he could handle another awkward feeling between the two. Soon walking into class, he slid into his desk.

Lily bit her lip and turned her attention forward. If she could just concentrate on class, then things would be easier. So much easier. And she'd just enjoy her day while she could. She couldn't even pay attention, though, causing her to let out an annoyed sigh. If only she was like Josh and didn't let her mind control herself and didn't believe in love. If things were that simple, everything would be a hell of a lot easier on her. But, no. She wasn't Josh. She was Lily, the girl who loved Josh. What kind of thing did she do to deserve such a cruel thing as to love somebody who didn't believe in it?

Addy sighed quietly to herself in her first period class. Her other friend sat on her side, but she made no move to talk to her. After all of these years of being friends she had hoped she'd get used to this feeling: the sweaty palms, the rushing heartbeat... God, she even thought she would get used to the way that Zach would never love her back, but she was especially not over that... It made her quite sad actually that he didn't see it. She was quite sure it was plastered all over her face in black and white, but his ability to see it was greatly disabled - mostly because he didn't want to see it... She knew that he usually enjoyed the way that he led a peaceful partier lifestyle, but every time word got out about the occasional hookup, something died in her from him every time. And she couldn't just forget... She loved him. She loved the boy who would never love her back...

Josh felt like he needed a serious back massage or something to get all of this soreness out of him. This hangover had gone far over the point of headache and now was cursing him all the way through his blood. He wished Lily was with him... He knew if she was she would probably be willing to give him a little back massage. That's why she was his best friend. She saw past all of his insecurities and still liked him. He loved that she wasn't just another girl who was trying to get with him. She just cared for him like a sibling. Lily was the best friend he ever knew.

Zach sighed quietly as he glanced around. His eyes soon caught sight of the blonde cheerleader that was flashing him a flirtatious smile. Zach returned the smile in the same manner, though he silently wondered if she'd be interesting to chase after. He doubted it; she seemed a bit easy with how she had just tried to bend over to show off her cleavage. Zach preferred to have at least a little challenge. There wasn't much of a challenge in this, though.

Lily glanced around the room a few times, soon sighing when it was announced that they'd be pairing up for a class project. At least that could distract her for the time being. It would, at least, get her mind off things; she hoped so, anyways. She wasn't quite sure as she wasn't normally lucky enough for that.

Addy sat still and glanced around the room. She saw all of the girls that were sitting around in the classroom and studied each of them. Probably most of them had had some type of relation with Zach... Probably all of them had. She saw them all with their overly painted-up faces and push-up bras that told a fake story of what was hiding there. God, what did he see in all of them? Addy was nothing but true to him - well, as true as she could be with not telling him that she loved him. What was so special in all of these fake girls that made him want them more than her? Did he not see the way she died a little every time his eyes trailed after a girl?! She could be everything that he wanted... She knew how to challenge him, but she also knew how to love him. If only he even noticed her...

Josh tossed and turned on the bed in the nurse's office, groaning both because of how uncomfortable it was and how he couldn't get to sleep. He needed to sleep to get his mind off of things - like the way that he upset Lily by being such a partier. His body was also begging for sleep but it wasn't working.. He needed to get up and get his mind off of things, though he knew he wasn't going to leave the nurse's office. He wanted to see some sexy girls... Flirt a little... Feel the rush of the chase. He just needed something other than being stuck in this office all day while Lily kept invading his thoughts strangely...

    (Okie dokie~)

Zach was waiting outside for Addy, already prepared for their day at the park. He was pretty excited about it, as it would give him a chance to relax. Hopefully, nothing would go wrong and he wouldn't see any hot girls at the park; otherwise, he'd have to ditch Addy. He knew how much that hurt her but he had needs. And, though Addy was extremely important to him, those needs just needed to be fulfilled.

Lily sighed quietly, having gathered all the notes from Josh's classes. She made her way to his locker, setting them on top of it before she went to her own locker, as she knew that he wouldn't want anybody to see her at his locker. That would make him lose potential dates. She scowled at the thought before opening her locker and rummaging through it, debating on what to take home and what to leave.

Addy took her time at her locker once the end of the day came. It wasn't that she didn't want to spend time with Zach - in fact now she got to interrogate him about his happenings over the weekend - but she was super discouraged. Everywhere she looked there was a girl that somehow reminded her of the fact that Zach would never love her... Zach was only a partier and someone who didn't love. Still when she saw him, the bounce came back to his step and she smiled. "Hey, Zacky-poo!"

Josh made his way to his locker and smiled when he saw that Lily had left his work for him just like she always did. She was such a good girl - such a good friend... Josh winked at a brunette girl that walked by and smiled. God, life was good. He grabbed the things that he needed and then went towards her locker.

Zach chuckled a bit before he rolled his eyes at the nickname. "I thought we agreed you'd never call me that," he teased before ruffling her hair and smirking a bit. "Anyways, are you ready to go? The car's waiting." Of course, that was just his way of saying that he was ready to leave the school, as it was a pretty boring and annoying place. The only good thing about it was the hot girls and the fact that his best friend was there.

Lily sighed quietly to herself as she stared into the locker, allowing herself to zone out for a few moments. Soon grabbing out a book or two, only to put them right back inside, she slammed her locker closed, frustrated with her thoughts and emotions. Maybe if she just tried to be like Josh and act like love didn't exist, she could force herself to believe it and her feelings for him would go away. She doubted it, though.

Addy sighed when he ruffled her hair. It wasn't something like a sign of love or anything - more like what an older brother or father would do to a child - but she still couldn't help but like his touch... "Let's go!" She said as she bounced around in circles of him as they made their way into the car. "And on the way to the park, you should tell me all about your weekend!" She poked him in the ribs and stuck her tongue out at him.

Josh saw her standing at her locker and watched her slam it shut with a loud scream to follow. He wondered what it was all about because normally she was so put together and passive; she was completely the opposite of Josh who was always struggling with anger management. "Whoa Lil!" He said. "It's an inanimate object, I'm sure he means you no harm!"
