Diamonds and Wrenches

"You didn't care before you broke up with me. Everything was perfect, Cadence," Logan said. "You didn't care that your parents didn't like me, you didn't care that I lost my job, and that I had nowhere to go, you didn't care that I was a mechanic, you didn't care who my parents were, you still loved me through everything. And all of a sudden, you start giving a shit what people think. What happened?"

Cadence frowned, "My parents threatened to take my money away!" She yelled. She crossed her arms and looked down

"So your money means more to you than I do?" Logan muttered. "I should have known better."

Cadence frowned, "Yea well it would have been hard to pay for both of us with no money!" She yelled.

"I would have found another job, Cadence!" Logan yelled back at her. "I would have supported us!"

Cadence looked at him, "Yea well not like I'm use to!" She yelled.

Logan stared at her, shaking his head. "Leave," he said. "Don't come back. Go find some rich asshole who can shower you in money. I don't want to see you ever again."

Cadence glared at him, "Fine! You know you may not have the rich part, but your certainly an asshole!" She yelled as she left.

Logan walked over to his couch and sat down, rubbing his face. He looked down as Max walked over and whimpered and he sighed, picking him up and kissing the top of his head. He needed to think about what he wanted to do.

Cadence went to her house and laid on the couch. She covered her face and cried.

After a while, Logan finally decided what he wanted to do, so he grabbed his phone and called Mark.

Mark heard his phone and answered, "Hello." He said.

"Hey man," Logan mumbled.

Mark smiled, "Hey." He said.

"Cadence is pregnant," Logan muttered before explaining to him everything that happened.

Mark listened, "Wow man so what are you going to do?" He asked.

"I'm leaving," Logan mumbled. "I mean, what else can I do? I tried. She's being ridiculous. I'm not wrong, am I?"

Mark nodded, "Yea, but do you really want that kid to grow up without a dad?" He asked. He wasn't going to tell him what to do, but he wasn't going to let him not consider the consequences.

"No, I don't," Logan muttered. "But her father will make sure her kid has a father, whether it be his real one or not. I still love her . . . but I can't be with her. She left me because her father was going to take all her money away and she didn't want to live with me because I wouldn't be able to support her like she's used to."

Mark nodded,"I see your point."He said. "I don't know man maybe she'll change her mind." He said.
