I've started on mine and I've kind of established a hate relationship between Harry and my OC, but a common theme with them is the sexual tension that everyone catches onto. I will have my character profile up soon because I have no life Facepalm by the way, how do the girls get put forward for this test? Do they put themselves forward or ... ?

HA! I was thinking maybe your character and Harry would have this hate relationship! I love the idea of the sexual tension! I'm thinking my character becomes a "mediator" between you and Harry? Like she becomes best friends with you and with Harry? And she kind of pushes you together.

I'm still kind of thinking over Niall and my characters relationship. I kind of see Niall as very sweet and my character as very quiet at first??

I'm still kind of thinking the whole "how they become" a part of it. However, I'm assuming we want the girls to be strangers before everything. I'm wondering, do we want all the girls "brought in" and like...made to live in a house together (like Simon makes them) or how do we want to approach that?

    Ashton "Ash" Scarlett Monroe
    21
Student at University of the Arts London - London College of Fashion. Preparing to go into her last year.
Aspiring to be the next Vera Wang. She tends to be a little on the shy side. Comes from a large and self-made wealthy family. -- her mother and father own a vineyard just outside of Memphis, Tennessee.

She is the youngest of five children, she has four (very protective) big brothers (Dillion, Max, Gunner, & Hunter). Loves to cook and bake. Even after being in London for almost three years, she still has a southern accent.

"Bless your heart" is almost her catch phrase, and like most "Southern Belles" it's most likely her kind way of saying "good god you're stupid".

Goes home every Summer to work at the vineyard.

When the idea was brought up in the beginning we said it would be set in the near future, so what if the survey is mandatory for everyone to take? So then some of the girls could be from all over the world .

Either that or some popular matchmaker does it?

There is a story floating around where they make chip implants mandatory, so we may want to stray away from that idea of "near future"?

I like the idea of a famed matchmaker? (Like maybe Patti from Millionaire Matchmaker) maybe all the girls could still come from all over the world? (an idea I really like, because I originally thought about having my character coming from Tennessee) maybe Simon calls on Patti to make these matches and all the girls come form a family in which Patti has at some point come into contact with their families, and perhaps these girls have been forced into doing this survey?

It could be the "next generation" matchmaking.

Yeah, I think a mandatory survey would be best so that all people would have to take it. Then it could at least leave for some personal resentment if you really don't like who you're paired with... Cool

I'm still working on my character... I don't know which way I want to take her relationship with Zayn...

Totally loving that idea. Also I think the girls will be strangers and some of the girls might clash, whilst others bond. I know the way I have made my character, she doesn't tend to have many girlfriends and apart from maybe having a good bond with your character, she tends to stick with the boys (minus Harry of course).

I think because Niall comes across quite timid and less forward when it involves girls, like with your OC it could be a matter of him being scared to take things further- so such as stuck in that friend zone despite you both being smitten with each other, sort of thing. That's just one idea! Smile

I'm still unsure how these girls can get entered into this test. Like perhaps some put themselves forward, one is put in for a joke from friends and then one puts there name in hoping to get one boy, but ends up with someone else- that's how we could create a girl who is with one guy but crushing on another.

With the house idea, perhaps at the beginning they are put together in a house to bond and get to know each other, but for some it can get too intense and a lot of drama happens. But if they are under one roof, they're allowed out and Simon encourages them to be seen in public together since that's the whole point- bettering their image. So they can go to events and such to boost their image.

These are just ideas and I'm just trying to make sense of some things, so please people, let me know if you have some ideas Cute

Maybe it's set in present day? Maybe they become the "prototype" for the experiment. Maybe Patti has hand picked the girls, like she had her assistants search (the web, social media-- whatever we may decide) and Simon enters the boys in because their such nightmares. But it's not public knowledge. It's a service that will only be available to those who can "afford" it.

Like maybe one of the girls is in the same boat, shes a nightmare and her family wants her to settle down so they enter her.

And I'm liking the idea that some choose, and some are forced in and are incredibly angst-y about it. Maybe Ashton could be the one entered as a joke? Maybe they're always giving her a hard time because shes only ever had one boyfriend (or because she's shy, or whatever)

That's what I'm kind of thinking? Niall gets stuck in the friend zone!

    Sorry guys I had school...

I was thinking my character would be completely different from Louis. I straight edge, no Nonsense type girl because she was raised that way but always wants to rebel and have fun. At first she can't stand Louis and his crazy self and thinks he's too childish. She can't figure why she was chosen for him. But eventually he breaks her walls and teaches her how to have fun.

    That sounded so cliche...

I like the idea of this Patti helping Simon find these girls. With my OC (Taylor) I've established that she lives at home with her grand-parents and younger sister. They've had a rough upbringing with their mother dying and their father never being around, so they've lived with their grand-parents for a couple of years now. Her younger sister hears of this prototype experiment and enters Taylor in. Taylor humours her little sister for a while until she is paired-but when she wants to drop out, her younger sister realises she has been paired with Harry Styles, and begs her to do it for her. Because she feels like she owes her sister a lot for the crap life they've been dealt, she carries it on despite not getting on with HarrySmile

That's my initial idea at the moment, but it could change, but I'm pretty happy with it Cute

I like the idea of Ashton being entered as a joke because of her boyfriend status being poor. It's definitely fitting for the idea of your character and her personality Smile

I was thinking a dystopia type thing. Like with hunger games and anthem. Except we don't kill anyone.

No! I like the idea! I agree it's really cute, like maybe shes really prim and proper?

    @ antidote.

I like the idea! Taylor comes from a totally different situation, and Harry is going to have to really work for it (something he usually doesn't have to do!)

So if these girls are going to come from a little bit of everywhere I'm thinking I'll change a few things with Ashton (I'll just post the changes in my original for Ash).

I'm just searching for a picture for Taylor. I will stick with her being from England since that's where I'm from and have more knowledge of this country, if you get me Facepalm

Yeah, where they're put could be a sort of utopia/dystopia since it will feel different with each individual. Some people will want to be there but others not so much. This fictional place could be anything from a large house to an island. It's up to everyone where they think it would be best for it to be set :)

Maybe we should set it in a central London neighborhood? Maybe that way they're close to lots of people, so they're constantly on the paparazzi radar? Almost like a big brother/1984 thing? There aren't cameras or a reality show or anything weird lmfao but they get like...no privacy? does that make any sense?

I have yet to decide name. I'm liking Wendy, since Louis reminds me of Peter Pan. I think she might come from a wealthy family but not by blood. Like her father used to be from a poor, cruel place but he worked his ass off and made a name for himself as a doctor, lawyer, or business man. He puts pressure on Wendy to follow in his career path but she does not want to do the same but doesn't have the courage to tell him. She is stuck doing something she really doesn't want to do because she is scared to break her fathers heart.

I'm torn between Emilia Clarke and Alexandra Daddario.
