I think they need to be somewhat in the public eye since it is all to improve their image etc.. :) so Central London or somewhere like that would be good.

So what do we have so far?
We've all agreed on this matchmaking scenario, though we have to stay clear of the micro chip idea since apparently it's been used. I think the idea of it being a new initiative thing is good, where these girls are part of the prototype experiment. The Patti idea is good and I like it, but what do you all think?

A couple of us have established the relationship we will be having with the guys, so the others can decide on theirs. I'm almost done with my character profile, which will be up once I find a picture Cute

I like the matchmaking scenario and I love the idea of using Patti Stanger because I'm kind of obsessed with MM and I think she would be perfect because she has this "take no bullshit" attitude, which I think it's going to take to stand up to the guys. I still love the idea of the "test" being mandatory for those entered in this (for lack of a better word) experiment. Maybe this test is unlike any other, like they've been developing it for years upon years. It trys to establish that "perfect balance" where these couples have enough in common, but they balance out each persons "quirks"-- which would be what sets this method apart, and makes it so superior? It balances things out.

As far as titles, I haven't come up with anything incredible.

The one thing I really thought of was Settle Down

    Character Profile:
    Name: Taylor ‘Tay’ Monty
    Age: 19 years old
Has been working at a studio since leaving school at sixteen. She took night classes at the local college, studying photography but finished last year. She loves her camera and can’t be seen without it. She tends to work freelance and goes where her boss sends her- she enjoys not having to work in an office and has freedom in her work.
Family: Lives with grand-parents since her mother is dead and father has been MIA. Has a younger sister who she would do anything for. Despite it not being her fault, Taylor feels like she owes her sister a lot for her having such a crap life, so usually ends up doing anything for her.
    *Edit*

    Has a handful of tattoos.
Loves her hats and pretty much always has one on.
Has to wear glasses for reading.

    Taylor Monty

I'll hopefully find a face on picture, but I'll probably use the girl Voe (if you've heard of Voeblog) to represent Taylor Cute

Kavita Marie Lanka is originally from Delhi, India. She is from an average sized family, being the eldest of three girls. Her father is a wealthy movie producer in "Bollywood," while her mother prefers to spend her time painting at home. Kavita strives to break away from India and travel the world. She wants to meet people who don't push her towards the standards that her family has set for her. Her father often calls her a trouble maker, but her mother who is from Rugby, England, understands her need for free will. When her younger sister Prema's one-year anniversary begins to arrive, her father begins to push Kavita towards finding a partner. When he realizes she is too head strong to bend, he uses his wife's relationship with their eldest to persuade her to take the survey and find the man that is meant for her. It just so happens, Liam Payne is the man of her dreams.

I imagine the two will face obstacles with her family, because his job isn't very traditional, but Liam could win anyone over with those brown eyes. They don't move too fast, but their attraction to one another will remain evident- until she possibly meets his mates....I'm definitely down for using her for a love triangle. So let me know. :)

She's strong willed, stubborn, genuine, flirty, and carefree. She has her bachelor's in English Literature, and aims to be a publisher. Age 21.

I love the idea of a triangle! I could totally see her getting caught between Liam and Zayn.

We can still have the test. It will probably be more for the matchmaker to get a better idea of the girls and guys.

    I like Settle Down.

Working titles could be Reality Check, Matchmaker, Matters of the Heart, Playboy Control, etc. lol

I think the test should still be used. I like the idea that even though they were suppose to be perfect for each other, fate still gets a say. You know?

I am really digging Matters of the Heart though. It sings to me.

And totally, the test brings conflict. Makes things interesting.

    Cute Thanks.

We don't have to rush the title though, once we get the whole plot down pat, and all of our ideas are kinda reign in we might come up with something more original. :3

Matters of the Heart sounds good- it has a nice ring to it :)

So I think we need to tie up these loose ends when concerning the plot. What do we have so far...

Well we are for sure set on the girls and the boys taking this survey from Pattie(?), because Simon says so and other reasons. Has anyone decided their character is going to willingly take the survey.

I kind of figure after Ashton is placed in as a joke (and then proceeds to be picked) she tells her mother, and her mother knowing how shy she can be talks her into it? And the more Ashton sits on the idea, the more she gives in.

I think my character is unknowingly going to take the survey. Her parents trick her into doing it. I think it'll be like her parents tell her its for a job or something.

First chapter could be an introduction. Simon is meeting with the boys and explaining to them that maybe it's time for them to start settling down, before their ten minutes of fame is up. I imagine Liam and Niall would be kind of excited about it, while Louis, Harry, and Zayn would be pretty ticked off at the control. Then the chapters proceeding that could be our character's chapters.

Each of us gets an introduction chapter that shows insight into their current lives and how they got to taking the survey. After that it's pretty much meeting the boys, falling in and out of love, and drama. Haha

We need to set up posting order, decide on any big dramatic events that will escalate the plot, and stuff like that I suppose.

I think my character will be willing to do the survey then, especially if Patti mentions that she will get to leave India.

That's kind of what I was thinking? The first chapter is the boys being called in with simon, he drops the bomb and in walks Patti, who basically tells them to shut up and sit down. I agree- maybe we could hit on Liam and Dani just breaking up and him trying to get back in the game, and Niall's excited because he tends to be shy.

Then definitely with the intro chapter for each character. Maybe we could end each chapter in the same way though? maybe the girls get the call from Patti to pack their bags, because they've been "matched". But at the time, they know nothing about their match.

That would be good, the chapters ending with the characters being excited about a new chapter in their lives, or wishing that they didn't have to get on a plane to meet these mystery matches.

I like that "Matched." Definitely could be a title.

My character, Taylor, does it for her younger sister. She takes it after he sister urges her forward and because of the guilt she's always felt for the life her younger sister has led, she takes the test. Taylor clashes with Harry, but sticks it out because she sees how happy her sister is that Taylor has found someone.

From what I've got from all this (because my heads in a muddle tonight) is the following..

There is a test that has been formulated by Patti and her people, which helps determine the perfect mate for people. Simon Cowell could be a generous benefactor to the scheme and submits the boys forward after fearing their well-being; some of the guys have recently been losing touch with reality and what's important, such as love and compassion for other things like sex and money (Harry, perhaps), whilst he believes it's also time for the guys to settle down. The girls, for all different reasons, are selected out of hundreds/thousands and are brought to meet the guys. Some bond, others clash and the some fall for others. These people are being used as experiments to test this match making scheme, but despite the system matching them, fate has other ideas.

    Is that somewhat right? :L

I love the idea of the intro and then each chapter starting with the girls almost introducing the readers to their life and then ending with them getting the call Smile
