Zombies Co-Write

Great idea, Calli! I will definitely do that! When ya'll get everything set up for your characters, let me know and I will link a page to the character. I'm going to set up a baseline story for us to use to link our characters pages to. I'm just going to do a page untitled where we can all add ourselves as authors and link our characters too. I think having that set up already will help us later on when our readers need a little clarification, as well.

And also, I forgot to mention this... we've decided that they'll run into each other having traveled separately (with the exception of two characters) for the beginning of the story.

As for my character I was kind of thinking she could be by herself, like completely. I've got some pretty killer (no pun intended) ideas for her.

**Note: The summary on that page is not the actual summary. I just wrote some babble to fill it so that I could post that part up to use to post our characters through.

And also I think a gated community would be great for them to end up at. Any reservations or arguments against it or is everyone okay with that?

And what do you mean by "links to character pages"?

You know how to create a story? Well, you can add a character and write a bio and add a picture if you want. Anything you think we should know about your character can go on it. It will keep your character's information on a quick link and be linked to the story itself. It will help to keep the forum page organized, the story organized, as well as allow us quick access to the information we may need to look up.

To Create a Character Page

1) Go to the list of your stories where you edit them. Under where it shows the tabs for "My Mibba" (you'll see My Mibba highlighted in orange), you'll see "Stories", "Collections", "Characters", "Layouts".
2) Click "Characters".
3) To the right side of the page above the banner-like advertisement you will see "New Character" in dark blue. Click it and create your character.
4) Go back to the list of stories where you edit them. Find our story and click "edit". At the very bottom you will find a list.
5) On that last list you will find your character you just made in the tab on the right. Click the plus sign to add your character to the story.
6) Click Submit.

Oh! I know what you meant now.

I just misunderstood what you were talking about, I thought you meant a page somewhere else on the Internet, so I was just confused.

Also can you hover over my post and click "reply" so I get the alert whenever you reply. I keep going back to the forums to see if anyone else responded.

And I would like for us to each make a character page. There are directions on how to above in a previous post of mine. Also I have already posted mine if you would like an example. Any and all details you feel we should know and eventually the reader should know should be posted their for organization's sake.

There are previous posts with this in it but I wanted to summarize and have each of us get an alert for this message so we can kind of keep up with the conversation. I had no idea how to reply to a message before this so sorry about any inconvenience or messiness that this has caused.

OMG! Yes! As long as no one feels differently then yes! I am awful at that kind of stuff. I never could make a decent layout and my banners look like sixth graders did them! I was going to ask but I wanted to wait until we had most of our details settled. If you want to do one go ahead and if we all can agree on it then we'll use it for sure!

Great! I made this banner for a friend who had a story up, about two years ago... and I could make something similar to it, but a bit better, since I've improved a bit in my graphic skills.

I could do something like that, you girls just need to let me know what you want on it. If you want pictures of the girls, or not, on it. As for the color, I could match it with the layout (which I've already made).

I really like that banner and the layout is pretty cool. In some ways I don't really like the side picture on the layout because it makes me think of a graphic novel rather than a story we've written. I guess I see a story as more "sophisticated" (the only word I can think of right now but that's not really what I want to say). But at the same time I like it because it seems to lighten the tone.

Also, Kayla, are you going to add what we thought of in your first post of the thread? Like, maybe in point form, where we will stay (gated community) and stuff.

And what are we going to be calling the zombies?
Zombies?

I think we should choose to call them whatever we want. I think every culture has different slang words, the same should be after a zombie apocalypse because what is a group in a time like that other than it's own culture and people?

As for the part about if I'm going to add that, I plan on it I just didn't know if we were ALL in agreement over the gated community. I think maybe what I'll need to do is do like two or three questions and "tag" each of us in it so that we can all answer it and so we'll know where we all stand on the decisions.
