Sorry for the lack of response. My work schedule has been rough this past week (several closes followed by opens) just now got a day off!

I definitely love the memory loss idea. And I agree with Wynnie, the symptoms should vary and 1-5 hours of symptoms sounds great. And with the cold temperature due to lack of circulation of blood I think we should add something: a numbness of the fingers and toes (extremities). In many illnesses that cause a problem in circulation (diabetes is one I'm really thinking of) the extremities become numb and/or prickly (like tingling from "sleep"). Maybe that's another symptom so it kind of causes an extra aura of paranoia each time someone's hand or legs goes to sleep when the nerve is pinched.

I'd like to be writing soon as well. Anyone have any issues with that? Any one have any more questions or clarifications they'd like to add?

I have wifi for the day! And I just realized something over the last few days... First, what orders are the chapters written in? And second, what's the title? I just kind of realized we didn't have a title :3

Also, for the chapter titles, what I think we should just do Chapter One, Chapter Two... And then in the description, put the names of our characters. So like an example using my character...

I'm OK with using chapters as our characters, but I'm also up for taking a bit of whatever. Like... if mine and Emma's chapter before the attack could be like, "Roadtrip" or something.

And what about the actual title? Because right now I believe it's called 'Untitled Zombie Story' or something.

I'm getting ready to move in to college, I move into my dorm on Thursday, so I've been busy getting ready. I don't know how often I'll get on between and and the time I get settled in...

I don't know about a title. The only thing that comes to my mind is Attack of the Living Impaired, but that might be a little to... cheesy? I don't know. The whole "living impaired" thing could be the politically correct term.

The only problem I have with that is that the first thing that comes to mind with that title is that (this is not to be offensive at all) "Attack of the Living Impaired" sounds like a bunch of mentally disabled people are attacking. That is honestly just me and I didn't mean for it to be offensive and I'm sorry if it was!!

It was a good idea though and we finally got the ball rolling again!

What I was thinking was we could choose a word like 'undead' or 'apocalypse' and use google translate to change it to a different language? I don't know, it might be a little overused.

I was reading a book the other day and Hamartia (I believe it was) meant Fatal Flaw, and that's what this entire thing kind of is. A fatal flaw. We could do that?

No, no I totally understand. I didn't care for it either, but it was all I could think of at the time.

Yeah, I like a fatal flaw too.

So, if we did the dead thing in different languages, could that maybe be the chapter titles? I know we'd probably run out, eventually, but maybe we could just switch to apocalypse or plague.

I like the idea of the chapter titles being different languages. I could make a list and we could use it until we ran out of languages then switch to a different word as the story progressed. In the description we could still do the character's name to kind of get rid of some of the ultimate confusion.

Gateway to Death

I was thinking that would refer to the gate that ends up left open and perhaps they've talked about it being the "gateway to death" and it's menacing and whatever.

I was also thinking that maybe whoever opened the gate could have went crazy and maybe they were trying to kill everyone or maybe they just wanted to die for some reason. So they have like a trial and a vote to decide if they were going to be kicked out of the group, left alone, or executed.

What do you guys think?

If you can post what you want to say about your characters and what your character's picture (if there is one) is that'd be great. If any one of us adds a character it deletes the last one added. I'm going to have to go in and manually add them from my account.

Okay so are we definitely doing different languages for the chapter titles? I love that idea and then in the authors notes we could say what language it is! So here are all the suggestions:

A Fatal Flaw
Gateway to Death
Beating the Odds
Outliving the Undead
New World Wasteland
Flood of the Risen Dead
Attack of the Living Impaired

We could go through each title and talk about our opinions for them? And then do the process of elimination until we get down to the final two or so and do a vote. What do you all think?

Another thing, my character, Amber Weatherly, is bisexual. There won't be any femmeslash scenes but I wanted to know if you guys had a problem with me mentioning it. I was planning on the outbreak happening while Amber was on a plane and never got to say goodbye to her girlfriend so she just mentions that she left her girlfriend back home and stuff.

If any of you have a problem with it, I can change it but just let me know!

For chapter titles, are we going to have it to do with something that happens in that particular chapter? Like if they run into a group of zombies, or run into another group of survivors, or something.

A Fatal Flaw : Okay, so this one is my favourite, partially because I came up with it and also because I don't find it cheesy or anything. Although, it isn't really menacing or Zombie Apocalypse like, this is probably my favourite.

Gateway to Death : I LOVE how this one is a reference to a scene later on! And when the readers read that they'll get it and their reactions in the comments will be great! But, like with a lot of titles, it comes off a tad cheesy to me.

Beating the Odds: I like this one because our characters really are beating the odds. There are like seven billion people in the world and our characters are the ones to survive? And since there is always a but, I find that it also doesn't seem very zombie-ish.

Outliving the Undead : Though this one doesn't really pop out to me as anything really outstanding, it does make sense and it also fits in with the whole zombie thing.

New World Wasteland : This one would probably be my second favourite, it isn't cheesy and its catchy. Even though a zombie takeover would be a wasteland, I find that one word slightly misleading.

Flood of the Risen Dead : This title is good and it makes sense, but it just doesn't seem very eye catching. But it would be kind of cool if we have a scene where there really is a flood of zombies.

Attack of the Living Impaired : My opinion is above.

So that's my opinion on all the titles we have so far! I don't mean to offend anyone and I made sure to put in a good thing with every bad. They are all great ideas and whichever one we choose, I will be happy with. My favourites are A Fatal Flaw, Gateway to Death, and New World Wasteland!

Um, while we wait for a reply should we talk about anything else we've missed? Like should we do 1st or 3rd POV. I vote for third so it isn't so confusing every chapter when there is a new character.
