I think that should cover it. I'm thinking the name should be real harmless-sounding, obviously, but maybe the government could have JUST put together the division recently just for this vaccine and have pulled the top scientists in the country? Maybe something like the World Health Organization or the equivalent of the US's Food and Drug Administration?

So I was watching Arrow while thinking about this and what if the bad batch was planned and how it managed to get passed the checks is because the person in charge/a top scientist wanted it to but unfortunately it didn't manage to escape unnoticed and that's why only nine was given and the one who doesn't have any effects was just a fluke in the lot. It could explain why the division was created and maybe they still have the scientist/person who organised it detained because they know something about why it killed the other but won't tell and everything? But I agree it should be a harmless name and have top scientists apart of it.

I like that idea. Is there going to be a name for the vaccine? Maybe the name of the division and the name of the vaccine could somehow play off each other.

The public name will be the childhood booster and that'll be what it's commonly referred to but it'll have a science-y name and it'd be great for that and the division name to play off one another.

So if we each make up a bio of a member of the division that means there'll be three done and I'll add another for a just in case. That way we'll almost be finished working out the division specifics.

    What do you think?

The World Association of Clinical Health

Set up initially a few years before the injections went out because the government needed a division to keep track of a scientist [whose name is unknown right now] because of threats of tampering with members of the public's health. The name and description of the division on paper is just a guise. After the nine having the bad injections, they set up a room in the division to keep track of each of the nine in close detail as they grew older. One got removed from the room as no symptoms occurred whatsoever. Over a decade later something spikes in the health record of one of the remaining eight and they resolve to keep closer eye on that person, and two years later a spike appears in another health record leading to consulting among the division and men being sent to pick the two up for testing and observation. One of their effects/symptoms begin to drastically change which leads to the isolation of the one from the other, and within a few days they were dead. A medical examiner was brought in and had to perform an autopsy but nothing was found as their system was no longer alive and all the effects had disappeared. After doing several lots of blood tests on the alive one, they realise there's something in the blood and that's when they set the task of bringing the other six in to the division and keeping them for testing, observation and studying.

However, it turns out not be as easy as it looks and the four tasked with rounding the six up are threatened with being fired if they cannot bring them in which makes them mad. Force is allowed but is never included in reports of their work, and they can do whatever they see is necessary to bring the six in alive.

Matthew Stewate, 41. Has worked in the division for two decades and know everything there is about the case of the nine, however the only thing that he and the division don't know is what the injection was supposed to do as the scientist who made the bad batch still refuses to talk despite the convincing they've been attempting for the best part of fifteen years following the location of him. He takes his wife for granted and is rarely home, instead putting his job before his son and wife. He's smug and confidence because of his status in the government and how invincible it makes him.

    I love all of that!

What I'm thinking for my division member is that she'll be the ex-assistant of the scientist who originally invented the vaccine, if that works? She didn't know what he was planning at the time and now feels crippling guilt over what happened to everyone who received it. She changed her name and faked her credentials (even though she received all the necessary training and schooling) in order to secure a job with the division without anyone knowing who she truly is — keep your friends close and enemies closer type of deal.

She would've been in college at the time she was assisting him, so I'm thinking the "real" her would be in her mid-30s(?) but she tells everyone she's in her early 40s. She goes by Karen Zakarian though her real name is Claudia Boucher.

That does work! So even though she didn't know what he was planning, is she totally against what he did or did she take the job so that she could make sure she would know everything that happened to the injected ones because it was still work she helped create?

I'm thinking she originally took the job to be somewhat of a spy, to make sure no one was getting close to linking her to the scientist's original assistant. She's somewhat of an enigma in a way, because now that she knows what the vaccine has done to people, she genuinely wants to help them. But she wouldn't hesitate to act in order save herself first in case her secret gets found out.

    She sounds absolutely fantastic!

So what I was thinking was that this would be third person and we would write as our main character from the infected six but every few chapters or so, there could be a chapter from one of the government official's view but still in third. So it'd go sort of like this:
    Carwyn,
    Adam,
    Cassidy,
    Carwyn,
    Adam,
    Cassidy,
    Matthew
    -repeat the three-
    Karen
    and so forth.

Do you think that'd be a good idea or should we just stick with the infected three?

I think adding a division POV every now and then is a good idea. It breaks it up but still stays relevant to the story and adds an interesting POV rather than just filler, if that makes sense.

Yeah, that makes sense. And it could also help with everything making sense and could also help bridge a big time jump if necessary.

    Okay here it is!

Beverly North. She's 56 years old and extremely cold. She's been working for the division since her mid 20's. She takes joy in tracking down infected people and getting to use unwarranted violence. Other people seem to be intimidated by her because she is one of those people who takes delight in making others feel pain. She has no family, she invests her whole life into the job. She goes by Bev.

Everything's been added into the first post! The only things we need to work out are
What made the vaccination a bad dose?
    Title
    Posting order
    Layout

And a brief outline of the chapters because we need to work out a lot in regards to how it's being planned out. Like, the first round of chapters will probably be our characters living with the effects, but how are we getting the government officials involved? How do our characters know that they're involved? And if they're meeting, is it through the government section once they've been taken in or is there an anonymous tip to the six of them that sends them to a designated meeting spot where they all realise that the government is after the six of them and that's when they start working on evading them and such. Then we need to work out if they end up getting taken in and what happens when they do, etc.
