Lottie had a spring in her step as she walked down one of the many busy London streets. And with very good reason too. She was off to meet her boyfriend of five months, Harry, for dinner. She had met the curly-haired lad by chance on her way home from work one day. By chance meaning she'd been so engrossed with texting her best friend that she hadn't been paying attention to her surroundings and she'd walked right into him, but who was being technical here? What mattered was how happy Harry made her. She didn't think that anyone had ever made her as happy as he did, and she didn't see any major bumps in the road in their near future either.
Liam was lonely. Everyone else in the coven seemed to have found someone to occupy their time. Hell, Harry had even found himself a human girlfriend! That wasn't very common amongst their kind, but it wasn't necessarily frowned upon either. In most cases, if a human and a vampire felt such a deep connection with one another, it meant that the human was to become the vampire's mate. Of course, that evidently meant turning said human, and from the way Harry talked about this girl, well, he just had never seen him talk about anyone like he talked about Charlotte. And, in all honesty, Liam really envied his friend for this. He wanted someone that he could take out on dates. He wanted someone who he could lay in bed with and whisper sweet nothings into her ear. He wanted someone who would, eventually, spend the rest of her life with him. He wanted what everyone else had with their mates or girlfriends. Sighing softly, he walked down the street, his hands shoved into his pockets as he kicked a pebble along absentmindedly. He needed to clear his head. With everyone else seemingly having a mate or a girlfriend, he needed to get out and get some air so to speak. There was only so much whispering and giggling and kissing and cuddling that he could handle.
