Lucas crested the hill, weaving in and out around the firs and hardwoods around him. He pushed himself as hard as he could, large paws pounding against the frosted ground. His ears were flattened against his skull as he pushed forward, the feeling of running exhilarating. As he came over the rise of the hill though, he knew he was pushing towards the edge of their territory by the scent and slowly came to a stop, tongue lolling as he panted. His ears were pricked again, and he walked a few places, coming around to face the way back. School was going to be in a little bit, and he knew he needed to get back, but it felt good to just spend the morning running...
Alixx never needed an alarm clock to wake her up anymore. Since she could remember, she'd lived with Laurel, a dark-furred wolf, and her mate, Devon. A couple of years ago, they'd had Asher. Seeming to grow a little faster than humans, he already looked and acted about three and just loved to wake her up as soon as the sun was starting to peek above the trees. Therefore, today was like every other day as he leaped onto her stomach, waking her up with a startle. He was in his wolf form, already lapping at her face, and she forced back 'morning grumpiness' to lift him up, holding him at arm's length. "You can't let me sleep in just one day, can you?" she sighed, and when he yipped at her, a small smile formed and she let him go. He was already prancing across her bed again, his puppy fur tickling her.

Aza finished brushing her hair before heading downstairs to eat breakfast. She rubbed her hands together before going into the fridge to see what they had. Sometimes she ate in wolf form but whenever she had to go into town, she made sure to eat in human form. After all she did not want her breath smelling like raw meat. Aza pulled out a bowl of cereal and sat down at the table. It was going to be a long day. Especially since she planned to bring up the whole issue with Lucas being next in line with her father. It bothered her that she could not be alpha just because she was a girl.
Jordan was in his wolf form, still stretched out in his bed. It was time for him to get up and wake up for the morning but there was just something that stopped him from getting up early. One of his roommates, Alec, came over and shoved Jordan out of the bed. Jordan hit the floor with a groan and Alec began to laugh. They were always messing with each other and the boys in the pack were known to rough house with each other. "Time to wake up Jordan." He said before leaving the room. Jordan slowly got to his feet and got himself ready for the day.

(When you say school, do you mean regular school or alpha school?)

(I was thinking regular school. I figure they'd have to attend whether or not they wanted)

Lucas ended up back home with enough time to throw on some clothes and run a brush through his hair. Then he went downstairs to get some breakfast, quickly chowing down. After that, it was time to leave and he grabbed his backpack and headed out the door. Generally, all who attended school rode in a single car. That way encounters on a bus were limited and it was easier to make sure everyone got to school.
Alixx eventually managed to get Asher out of her room, and she quickly got dressed. Laurel and Devon were already up and dealing with Asher at that moment and she did something that didn't happen very often. She left the house without really getting noticed. Outside she started to see some of the wolves of her age gathering, not very many looking tired. Her eyes scanned around, looking for a target, and she grinned when she saw Jordan, his back turned to her. She dropped her backpack and quietly crept towards him. Know if he would either scent her soon or hear her though, she quickly leapt onto his back, nearly bringing him to the ground with a war cry. She was almost as much wolf as the others.

Aza was pulling her coat on when she watched Lucas head to the door. "Where are you going?" She asked him. "Everyone is not even in the car yet." Lucas was not even going into the garage where the car was so this was rather strange. They always rode together in the car. It was her father's rule and in general the pack followed them. Aza grabbed the keys and started to swing them. She drove one of the cars. And it was up to her to get everyone in the car and then at school on time. It was why she was up earlier than most.
Jordan fell right into the snow as Alixx tackled him to the ground. He just laid there in the snow. In the morning he just was not ready to play so for the first hour of the day, any attacks he got he just took. Jordan was able to shake Alixx off of his back before he got up and wiped the snow off of his face. His eyes were half closed. He then went to Alixx's side, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and leaning all of his body weight into her. "I'll get you back for that later." He mumbled sleepily. "Give me an hour." He patted her head.

Lucas shrugged at Aza. She acted more hostile to him than she did towards anyone else, but he knew why. He was about a year older than her, and remembered well the day her father announced him as next alpha. He'd always assumed before that it would be her, since she was their alpha's only child, so it took him by surprise. And since then, there had always been something bitter towards him from her. "I gotta move around; I went out for a run today," he answered, still walking around. He wasn't sure how he was going to be still when he had to climb in the car.
Alixx laughed as she was dumped into the snow to the side of Jordan. She'd barely sat up when he was leaning against her. "You're the only one who won't throw me off as soon as I attack them," she smiled, ruffling his hair back. "And in an hour, we'll be at school and in different classes. I wager you'll forget by the time you're up to getting me back," she grinned at him, helping him up. Living with wolves, you learned not only how to survive, but to train your senses, learn how to be quiet, and be faster and stronger than most other humans. She had one up on wolves in certain areas too- she wasn't subject to the authority of the alpha like they were either, and she didn't go crazy during the full moon.

Aza tried not to be hostile towards him but she couldn't help it. He was the one who had been announced next in line instead of her and it simply was not alright in her eyes. Lucas may not have asked for it but he didn't reject becoming alpha. While he may not have meant to take it from her, he was so in a way he was her competition. In the end he was not the one she had to convince, it was her father. She had to show her father that she could do it. Though in the mean time Aza could not help being slightly bitter about it. But honestly she tried not to be too mean to Lucas. There was nothing she could gain from doing so. "Okay but make sure to stay close. You know we can't leave without you." Aza then went through the house, needing to ensure that everyone was outside an ready to go.
"Yeah but that is because I don't want to be the one who breaks the human." Jordan joked, giving her a sleepy smile. Even though he said that he knew there was something more to it. It was his instincts that told him to be careful with Alixx. There was something about her that made him want to ensure that she didn't get hurt. It was why when all of the wolves and her played together, he was always ensuring that no one was too rough with her. He protected her. Why he was not sure, but he knew it was his job to protect her.

"Yeah, I know the rules, Az," Lucas said, shaking his head. He was always the one who made sure everyone was accounted for- he didn't need reminding that he had to be around when they got ready to leave. "Anyway, I should make sure everyone's awake," he continued. He headed out the house with her, and then they were both tracking down everyone.
Alixx rolled her eyes at him as she let him go to either stand on his own or fall over in the snow again. She didn't think he could break her if he tried right then. "Sure you will," she said, disbelief apparent in her voice. Across the street, she saw Lucas and Aza starting to round up wolves. "Anyhow, looks like we're heading out," she said, going to retrieve her backpack.

Aza was getting everyone into the car, keeping sure to keep track of the younger kids. The young ones needed to have eyes on them at all time. They were full of energy and got into all sort of trouble. Well the older kids did too but the difference was they knew better when they go do something stupid. Now they were just missing two people. Aza turned to Alixx and Jordan. "Come on you two, we need to go!" She called out to them before getting into her car.
Jordan followed Alixx to her backpack and then into the car. He knew Alixx hated when he said that. Though it was true. While it was unlikely that any of them would hurt her while just messing around. But if they wanted to, if they really wanted to, especially on a full moon then Alixx was beyond screwed. Though no one here would hurt her so really he was worrying over nothing. But once again it was something that he could not help. "I'll just hunt you down today."

Soon everyone was in the car and they were off. Lucas sat shotgun since Aza was driving, everyone else piled in the back. They dropped off the younger ones first, then parked in front of the high school and the older kids got out. Lucas stretched as he got out. "Another day, another right hours to waste."
"Mmmhmm," Alixx murmured. Soon they were at the school and she climbed out, shaking her head at Lucas' comment. "Who's going to get the little ones today?" She asked. The four of them took turns but since it was a Monday... She couldn't exactly remember whose turn it was.

"I'll get them." Aza said as she got out of the car. Once everyone was out, she locked the car. "I think it was my turn anyways." She ran a hand through her hair before looking up at the high school. It was such a waste of time that was true. Especially since they were a pack. They had other ways of making money. None of them were expected to go to college that was for sure. Though it would be considered strange if none of them went to school and her father decided it was for the best that they went anyways. She then made her way towards her class.
Jordan nodded to Aza before heading into the school. He didn't mind picking up the little ones. Though they definately listened to Aza and Lucas better than him and Alixx. It was an authority thing and they understood that the two of them had it. Jordan liked the kids and they loved playing with him. Though when he picked them up it took forever for him to round them up to the car.

Lucas shared first period with Aza so he walked there with her. They weren't exactly late but cut it close, she tithe kids, and the teacher didn't appear to like them much. That much was made obvious by the glare sent their way as they both took their seats. Welcome to hell, he thought. They made good grades, true, but they also had to basically hide who they were.
The kids loved Alixx as well, but refused to listen to her. If Jordan didn't have authority in their eyes... She definitely didn't. She was pack in their eyes, true, but they also knew she wasn't wolf. She was therefore glad it wasn't her turn and gave a nod to Aza before they all headed to their classes. She had math first thing in the morning unfortunately, and as she fell into her desk, she sighed and dropped her head in her arms.

Aza leaned back into her desk once they were in the class. She watched the teacher begin to write on the board. After a while Aza was already beginning to phase out. She really could care less about what the teacher was saying. Aza had made sure to get great grades though. She basically had a 4.0 and it was because she wanted to give her father another reason to let her run the darn pack. Aza let out a small sigh before looking over at Lucas. 'This is so boring'. Aza sent to Lucas' mind.
Jordan headed to his class, sitting in the back before falling asleep. He planned to hunt Alixx down after this class though to get her back for this morning. So while the teacher went on and on about some book they were suppose to read, Jordan was finishing up the sleep that he needed to get.

(Sorry; my post for deleted and I didn't realize it >_>)

Lucas was staring blankly at the board, showing he was paying about zero attention, but no one would likely notice it. It was fine anyway -he made all A's somehow. He shifted a little in his seat with a blink as Aza spoke. 'Yeah well... At least we can talk to pass the time unlike the others here,' he pointed out.
Alixx found her math class extremely boring. There were some classes she had to pay attention in to make a good grade but this wasn't it. She was great at math. It was boring enough that she felt about how Jordan had looked this morning. So by the time the bell rang, she was trudging out of class.

'These poor people. Having to sit through this and pretend like they are paying attention.' Aza moved her face into her hands as she leaned forward into the desk. She continued to look forward while talking to him but her eyes did go over to Lucas every once in a while. 'Is there anything special going on tonight?' Aza had to ask him sometimes. As far as she knew it was a normal day and she wanted it to remain so she could talk to her father. Though since Lucas was next in line and she was his daughter a lot of the time they only got have the information on special events.
Once the class was over, Jordan was out of there. He walked towards Alixx's last class until he could smell her scent. He then began to follow it until he was right behind her. A large grin went over his face before running up to her and grabbing Alixx from behind. He lifted her off of her feet and threw the girl over his shoulder. No one in the hallway said anything about it. Honestly this was normal behavior for the pack.

Lucas likewise glanced at Aza occasionally but for the most part remained staring forward. This was pretty normal since they were stuck here together every morning. 'not that I'm aware of. Why? Has your dad mentioned something to you?' hewas. Ruinous. She usually knew when something was going on and never asked him about it.
Alixx heard Jordan only just before he picked her up. Used to this sort of thing, she didn't let out a shriek of surprise, but she did give an indignant, "Hey!" As she was unceremoniously tossed over his shoulder.

'Not that I know of. I just wanted to make sure that nothing was going on.' Aza now knew that she could talk to her father about this tonight. Honestly they had this conversation a lot but she refused to give up on it until Lucas was officially named alpha. Her father's main reason was that alpha's were never females. All of the packs that they knew had male leaders. He didn't want them to become a target because of her. Though she still thought that she could show them all that she could do it and just because she was in charge it did not mean her pack was weak!
Jordan began to wake the opposite of her class, going to the other side of the school. There was a small smirk on his face. "I told you that I would get you back." He said before laughing a bit. "And you thought that I was going to forget about this."

Lucas noted this, figuring she was planning something if she wanted to make sure nothing was happening. He knew how she felt about her father not wanting her to inherit the alpha role and had accidentally walked in on their talks more than once. He at least figured to steer clear tonight. 'Okay then. I guess I know to stay away in that case,' he said. He knew his being there definitely wasn't wanted or needed.
"Maybe because I don't see you until lunch usually?" Alixx suggested with a shake of her head. If it had been anyone else, she would've fought and wiggled until she got out of their grasp, then probably hit them, but this was Jordan and towards her at least, he was practically harmless. "Where are we going anyway? I'm going to be late to history," she sighed as he walked away from her class room.

'That is probably for the best.' Aza told him as the bell rang. She then got up, and grabbed her backpack. 'See you at lunch.' Aza then walked out of the room. Everyone knew perfectly well that she was trying to become alpha and she didn't care that others knew. Though sometimes she wondered how Lucas felt about the whole thing.
Jordan brought her to the other side of the school where his class happened to be. He set her down before smiling widely. "Alright that is it. You can go to class now." All he wanted to do was make it take her longer to get to class. Besides he was rather fun carring her about the school anyways.

Lucas didn't respond as he headed to his next class. He remembered when he used to be friends with Aza, when they were close, but that had all changed the day her father named him as the next alpha. It was an honor and he wouldn't refuse- if he did, the man would just choose another. No one deserved a she-wolf's bitterness, especially not the bitterness of the daughter of the alpha, so he'd accepted.
Alixx huffed as she was set down. "You know you're faster than me but you did this anyway. Why couldn't you have just tackled me to the ground?" She asked in exasperation. She smacked him in the arm, none-too-gently, but it wouldn't really hurt him. "Don't forget I know where you eat lunch!" She warned and then didn't waste any more time and headed back towards her class.
