Patiently Impatient

Nadie laughed when he touched her stomach and she rolled her eyes. "You aren't going to let me do anything fun are you?" She asked before she began to walk up to the trail.

Paul groaned softly as his eyes shut slightly and he sighed out. "Please, don't tease like that. I don't know how much control I have and we are in a house filled with shapeshifters," he said.

Embry shrugged, "What?" He chuckled, "I'm only concerned, with Paul having been shot, it was a hectic day." He told her.

Riley smirked up at him, "so, their to busy eating." She smirked up at him, "and since when do you care their here?"

Nadie looked at him for a moment and she smiled softly. Walking up the trail, she smiled gently as she felt the breeze hit her skin. It was really nice out, she thought.

Paul looked at her and scooped her up for a moment and shook his head. "As much as I want to pound you into this bed, I don't want my pack brothers to experience that with me as well." He said.

Embry moved up beside her, wrapping an arm around her waist. "Why don't you stay at my place tonight." He offered, "you can tell your parents your staying with Riley, since she was upset about Paul."

Riley scoffed rolling her eyes. "Yeah and its not like they don't see it in your mind." She said, knowing little about the wolves but she remembered that they can read each others thoughts.

Nadie looked at him and smiled gently. "See, that would be really nice," she said as she leaned her head against his shoulder and walked with him. "Would you like that?" She said curiously.

Paul looked at her and shook his head. "Riley, no okay. Plus my mom is down there." He said "and I'm sorry if I don't want to get caught like we did with your grandfather," he said.

"Of course I would." He said placing a kiss to her forehead. "I can hold you all night and not worry about your parents stumbling in on us." He chuckled, "my mom gave up on checking on me." He shrugged.

Riley rolled her eyes, laying her head against his chest. She hated the feeling of rejection, but she understood. She only wished he'd pet her continue, show him what he really meant to her,. He was her everything.

Nadie smiled at him and kissed his cheek as they walked. Getting to his house, she smiled gently. "So are we climbing through a window or something?" She asked curiously.

Embry chuckled, shaking his head. "No." He chuckled shaking his head. "No body is home." He told her before pulling her up the steps and into the house, "hungry?" He questioned.

Riley closed her eyes, as she cuddled into his chest, choosing to ignore everything going on around her. Ignoring everything around her, she tried to get some sleep.

Nadie followed him before shaking her head. "No thanks," she said with a gentle smile on her face. "I'm not hungry but I know you are so go for it," she said as she motioned toward the kitchen.

Nadie sat at the counter watching him for a moment. She smiled gently as she began to relax. It was nice, she thought. Suddenly she was overcome with the idea of having their own house with a little one running around.

Embry pulled the food from the microwave not even worrying about a plate. He grabbed a fork and dug into his meal. Then he moved to the living room, stopping when he noticed the look on Nadies face. "What?" He asked, his fork just an inch shy of his mouth.

Nadie shook her head to snap out of it and glanced at him. "Nothing," she said softly as she blushed. "It was nothing really," she said as she looked away from him as a blush continued to color her cheeks a deep red color. "I'm sorry," she said.

Embry smiled, "no it's fine." He whispered out. "But what were you thinking?" He asked, wanting to know what she was thinking. By the look on her face he knew it was something that brought her joy.

Nadie shook her head. "It was nothing," she said with a gentle smile on her face and she stood up. Getting a glass of water, she sipped it before she ran her fingers through her hair. "It's nothing really," she said.

Embry smirked. "You were thinking of us being a family, weren't you?" He asked, the thought had crossed his mind a million time. Though the thought of it being somebody else's child was a new one.

Nadie looked at him and nodded slightly. "I know, not exactly what we wanted but yeah, I was thinking about us being a family," she said softly as she bit her lip gently and looked down at her hands. "I didn't mess everything up did I?" she asked as she looked up at him with wide eyes and sighed softly.

Embry's brow furrowed, "why would you think that?" He asked, before he found the answer to his own question. "No babe, even if this kid is Quil's we'll still have the best relationship ever." He told her, he just looked at Sam and Emily they always looked like love sick puppies.

Nadie smiled at him gently and kissed him before pulling away slightly. "I never thought that I would love someone as much as I love you," she whispered against his lips as she looked up at him through her eyelashes and smiled gently.
