he got caught at the five and dime saving the day.

"I've been in a coma for eight months, Ella. Don't you think I've had enough time by myself?" He sighed, running a hand through his hair. He didn't know why she was being so short with him all of a sudden - he had just spent the last eight months sleeping and he didn't want to be alone anymore. "If I wanted to sit and listen to my thoughts, I could do it without you hear.

"I like punctual," Grace said, looking at him and smiling as she nodded her head. Like Peter, she probably needed to get back to her shopping before the milk in her cart went sour before she could cook with it. "And I can't wait." It was the truth - Grace found herself wanting to go to sleep just so she could wake up and see Peter again. "I'll see you tomorrow, Peter."

Ella just stared at him for a moment of course she understood but he didn't have to be so rude, now she felt like she was being intrusive and like she didn't belong here. She swallowed hard and gathered her things quietly, she didn't even know anything about him and she was letting him hurt her feelings. That was crazy. Ella sighed softly and put her bag on her back, she stared at the floor for a moment before looking back at Barry. "I really hope you recover soon, I'm going to leave now, I'm sure someone else will come and check on you. Like you said, you don't really need me here. I don't even really work here, just a volunteer, have a good night" this time she didn't turn around she just walked out of the room and left. Ella did feel guilty but she was also not going to get her feelings hurt by some guy she didn't even know, though it was too late for that. She walked out of the building feeling tired, he had friends they would be in to see him sooner or later and he'd forget about her. Easy as that, not for her she would have a hard time but she'd get over it.

Peter grinned, "well good, expect me at exactly 3:25 or something like that" he looked down at all his food in the car, "yeah, I better get going feels like we've been talking for hours, luckily we haven't" he chuckled. He started to push the car before turning around and shooting her a smile, "I can't wait either," he couldn't wait to just go home and put everything away. That way he would go and sleep until 3 am. Unless something came up but he doubted that, everything was going so smoothly. "I'll see you tomorrow Grace," Peter said before walking off to the check out lane he was sure had finished getting everything.

Barry let out a long sigh, rubbing his hands against his. She clearly didn't understand what was going on, but Barry had other, more pressing matters to take care of. Like the fact that he really needed to pee. With a quick breath, he leaned up in the bed and set his feet on the ground. He wondered if he'd even be able to walk considering he hadn't used his legs in 8 months, but he was able to stand up easily. A little too easily, Barry thought. It was like he'd just shot out of bed and made it to the toilet in no time at all. Confused and a little dizzy, Barry relieved himself before heading back to the bed. He guessed he was starting to feel a little bit tired. Going to the bathroom was hard work. Maybe he could go to sleep.

Grace left the grocery store with a smile on her face, unable to believe just how well her day had gone. First, she'd had a lovely gentleman interrupt her boring time at work and just hours later he had asked her to hang out. It had been a long time that Grace had been alone with a guy who didn't want coffee from her, and she was looking forward to seeing Peter in the morning. When she got home, she made her chocolate lave cake, whistling the whole time she baked. The cake was just as delicious as the recipe made it sound, and after having a little too much to eat, Grace went to her room to call it an early night, eager to see Peter again.

Ella dropped her things as soon as she stepped into her apartment, she was exhausted; slipping of her shoes she made her way to the kitchen to grab a drink from the fridge, opening a can of pop she took a long sip before walking to her bedroom. She did feel guilty for just leaving but he was so annoying, more than she thought he would be. Of course that's not to say she had expectations of him but he also just got out of a coma and she shouldn't have treated him like that. Ella sat on her bed mentally kicking herself for being such an ass, either way she wasn't going to see him again so it shouldn't matter to her right?

Once Peter made it home he made sure to put everything away it's place before he headed upstairs; Peter just couldn't get Grace out of his mind, he just met the girl the same day. She was just so pretty and he was eager to just go right to sleep and wake up 8 hours later. He sat on his bed and sighed softly before staring at his wall that was covered in pictures of Gwen, himself and family photos, he debated on taking some of them off but it was just hard. He lied flat on the bed with his eyes closed, Peter couldn't wait to see that pretty smile on Grace. 3 am couldn't come soon enough.

Barry's dreams were met with strange images of lightning and Ella's face. It was more like a nightmare, really, where he was trying to catch up with her, but every time he ran, he would just go too fast and miss her entirely. When he woke up from his night's sleep to a plate of pancakes on his bedside, he was confused and in a cold sweat. He should have expected he'd have some sort of strange dream that night, but it was nothing like what he would have guessed. With a sigh and a shake of his head, Barry reached over for his plate of pancakes, his hand shooting so fast that he knocked over the glass of water next to it. He furrowed his brow in confusion before reaching for the pancakes again and this time hitting his target. Things just kept getting more and more strange.

When Grace woke up at 3 o'clock that morning, it was the most awake she'd ever felt. She quickly shot out of bed and jumped in the shower, making sure she'd have enough time to get properly ready. Usually before work she'd just throw her hair in a pony tail and go, but since Peter was going to be there, she wanted to look a little bit more presentable than usual. It was 3:30 by the time Grace was ready, and she happily hopped down the stairs of her third story apartment, hoping Peter would already be downstairs waiting for her.

Ella didn't sleep to well, she tossed and turned most of the night, she felt too guilty. Ella wasn't the type of person to get upset with someone so easily unless they asked for it and she didn't really think about Barry's feelings and that made her feel really guilty. After she got dressed and ready Ella walked out of her apartment and headed for a bakery, she would buy him some cookies or something. She felt awful and knew the only way to make it better was to apologize.

Peter woke up a little before 3 which was fine because he would have to shower and get ready, it wasn't every day he had a date at 4 am, actually no normal person would go out on a date that late but he didn't care. Peter was beyond normal at this point; once he was done he looked at the time it was three-fifteen; he walked out his usual way, through the window and off he jumped to make his way to Grace's. Peter stood by the door once he got there and walked up tapping on the door a couple of times before he waited for Grace to come out.

Barry was lying in his hospital bed, watching television when his curtain slid open and he saw Ella poke her head from behind it. He handed expected to see her there, and with his eyes a little wide, he sat up in his bed and patted down the top of his hair. "Ella," he said softly as he looked at her, watching her tiptoe into the room. "I didn't expect to see you here." He didn't think she'd ever come back to the hospital, let alone his room, after the way she'd stormed out yesterday, but seeing her was a pleasant surprise.

Grace heard the tapping of Peter's fist just as she was about to open the door, and smile instantly fell to her face. He was right about being punctual. She quickly opened the door and her smile widened when she saw him standing there. Even though he was probably impossibly tired, he looked absolutely gorgeous in his casual outfit, perfect for what they had planned. Grace stood frozen for a moment, looking at him, before she realized she was being strange again. She really needed to stop doing that if she didn't want to scare him away. "Good morning, Peter," she said, smiling at him as she shut the door behind her.

Ella was quick on her feet and made her way to the hospital; once she was there she made her way to Barry's room. Poking her head out and noticed him lying in bed obviously. Ella fave a sheepish smile as she walked over, "I'm really sorry about last night I was.. Just really tired and moody" she sat next to him. "I shouldn't have taken it on you and I feel awful so I brought you some cookies from my favorite bakery." She put a finger to her lips "don't tell them," Ella but her lip, "I don't know what I was thinking last night.. But I'll make it up to you"

Peter smiled at the beauty that stood in front of him he wasn't sure how he'd approach her. He couldn't believe she said yes, "good morning to you too Grace" he helped her down the stairs not that she needed it just he was being polite was all. "I couldn't sleep with all this excitement bubbling" he said honestly. Peter hadn't expected to suddenly start dating again. "So what are we making exactly?" He asked grinning,

"Don't worry about it," he said softly, giving a shake of his head. "I'm just happy to have you back." He reached over and took one of the cookies from her hand, finding he was still incredibly hungry even though he had just eaten. "There are delicious," he finished with a smile, taking another large bite.

"A little bit of everything," Grace said honestly. She had to bake everything fresh each morning, so they had a lot to do. She figured she'd teach Peter how to bake something simple while she pumped out everything else. Luckily, they had plenty of time to get everything done. As Grace began walking towards the bakery with Peter by her side, she found that she felt much safer with him there. Things seemed a lot less creepy and she was happy to have him with her.

Ella tossed some of her hair to the side and smiled at him taking her seat. "Really? That so sweet of you to say" she watched Barry devour the cookies she grinned as he did so. "Next time I'll bake them my self I was just in a hurry" she patted his arm before grabbing a cup of water "so how are you feeling today?"

Peter nodded his head as they walked he for some reason grabbed her hand. Just out if habit, he just really missed her and wanted to feel like she was still around. He knew it wouldn't be fair for Grace so he didn't say much about it. Peter looked at Grace "oh so you're going to have me as your little slave I see your game here" he laughed. Clearly he was just kidding, "I don't mind but if something turns bad or I burn the place down, well.. I'll be our in minutes" He didn't think he'd ever be comfortable dating but Grace made Peter feel different and he couldn't quite explain it.

"I feel a little... off," he said, shrugging his shoulders as he downed yet another cup of water. It seemed like he couldn't get enough of the stuff. That, and food. It was like his body was on overdrive. "But, I guess that's probably expected for someone who spent 8 months sleeping."

"You'd just leave me behind to burn?" Grace asked, her mouth agape as she stared at him. She laughed and stuck her nose in the air. "I'm glad to see where I fall on your list of priorities," she joked, looking over at him once. He always looked so perfect, even in the creepy streetlighta of the city. She couldn't get over him.

Ella nodded, "I can understand why, well, if you need anything I'll probably be here all day again, unfortunate for you hm?" Ella listened to him and nodded, "yeah probably, well, glad to have you back in the real world" she walked over and poured him some more water. "So..why angel?" she asked grinning.

Peter chuckled, "I'd have to think about it for a moment" he teased right back, shaking his head. "Oh don't worry, if I didn't save you, I'm sure Spider-Man would, he's better at this than I am" he told her, not knowing that they were both in the same. He looked at Grace for a moment she seemed more relax and he was glad. No one should be nervous around Peter, he was just like any other nerdy guy with a love for photography.

"Angel?" Barry asked, tilting his head to the side as he looked at her. Usually Ella made enough sense, but he didn't really have any idea what that meant. "What are you talking about?"

"Well, I'm glad at least someone would think I was worth saving." Grace looked over at Peter and eyed him up and down, her arms still folded across her chest. She still couldn't believe how funny he was, and she absolutely adored his sense of humor. He made her feel like she could be herself and she loved that about him.

Ella chuckled, "the doctors heard you call me angel, I was wondering why?" she shook her head, "apparently you talk in your sleep," Ella sat down and took a sip, "you don't have to answer," Ella was blushing by now, she probably shouldn't have brought that up.

Peter chuckled, "I think you're worth saving, you didn't let me finish" as they continued walking, he liked the way Grace laughed it was cute. "I don't feel like you should be walking alone every morning just so you can get to work.. if it's okay with you, I'll be more than happy to walk you" he offered. Peter hardly knew this girl and already felt some connection to her and that he had to protect her.

"Oh, I did?" Barry said to Ella before muttering to himself, "of course, did." He looked back at her, running his hands through his hair. "Well, that's embarrassing." He paused as he shrugged his shoulders. "It was just a nickname I gave you while I was out. Your voice was the one I recognized most and it just reminded me of an angel, I guess. I hope that's not weird."

"You'd wake up at 3AM every morning just to walk me to work?" She asked, looking at him with her head tilted in disbelief. No one had ever done anything that sweet for her, and she absolutely hated walking to work on her own. She couldn't believe that someone she'd only just met would offer to go out of his way for her.

Ella felt her cheeks glow pink as she heard him speak about the whole 'angel' thing, "so that's why they keep teasing me" she chuckled softly, she pressed her hands against his. "That's really sweet of you, I'm glad I can make someone's day better and I still feel bad about last night, I guess I'm just stressed out"

Peter looked at Grace and nodded, "yeah, I want you to be safe, you're such a pretty petite thing, I feel like I should protect you. I know that's really weird seeing as how we just met yesterday" he laughed nervously, but he felt his duty was to make sure this beautiful girl was always safe.

"Sorry about that," he said, chuckling softly. "I didn't mean to be the cause of anyone's teasing." He paused for a moment, laughing to himself about all of the jokes that could be made out of it, unfortunately for her. "I get that. Stress does funny things to people," he said with a wink, giving her a small smile before he looked down at the magazine the last nurse had given him.

Grace's face grew red immediately, and she pushed her hair in her face in embarrassment. "You think I'm pretty?" There were a few guys in high school that had told her she was pretty, but none that recently and none as wonderful as Peter. Him calling her pretty was worth 100 of anyone else doing it.

Ella shook her head, "don't worry about it, they think it was my doing that you're awake, I think it's just a miracle.. I can't be" she laughed. "All I did was talk to you well... rambled" she was used to people teasing her so she didn't mind. "It really does i'm feeling better so I'm back to my chirpy self" she blushed when Barry winked at her. "Have your friends came to see you yet? told me some Iris West was showing up, guessing that's like a special lady" she chuckled.

Peter stopped for a moment and looked Grace who was now blushing, it was adorable how any compliment that he would give her she'd blush. "Yeah, of course I think you're super cute too and all those other adjectives" he grinned. She was really something and Peter just had to know her better he had to know every little thing about her. Peter took her hand again and continued walking, "don't you think I'm pretty?" he asked laughing a bit.

He hadn't heard anything about Iris coming to visit him. In fact, he hadnt even gotten a phone call yet. He just assumed that she was busy and would be visiting when she had the chance, which apparently was much sooner than he had expected. "I haven't seen her yet," he said honestly, considering no one but Ella had come to see him since he'd woken up. "Why? Have you heard something about her?"

It was nice to hear Peter compliment her, and it made her blush every single time. Did she think he was pretty? That was the understatement of the year. If Grace had to bet, she'd say he was the best looking guy she'd ever had the pleasure of speaking to, but she could say that at the risk of him thinking she was insane.

Ella shrugged, "I just heard you're getting visitors and she was the first name on the list, it's good that your friends are coming to see you and not just some random stranger" she chuckled as she pulled out her sketch book and pencil. "Well, I'm sure you'll see her soon,"

Peter could tell that Grace was thinking about something as they arrived to the coffee shop after a few minutes of walking, "something on your mind? you just got kind of quiet" he chuckled waiting for her to let them in. "So whats the hardest pastry to make?" he asked randomly, he wanted to know what to avoid.
