Brian sighed heavily, eventually falling asleep at some point.

Abby woke up the next morning earlier than everyone did like usual. She made some coffee for Brian and started making breakfast for everyone else. She managed to finish making scrambled eggs for the kids when Aiden showed up in the kitchen. "Good morning baby," Abby greeted. Aiden hugged his mother, clinging to her until she carried him to the kitchen table and set down his breakfast.

Brian woke up with a groan, yawning softly and scratching his head. He slowly sat up and pulled his clothes back on, his eyes widening when he heard Kate scream.

Abby quickly ran upstairs and into Kate's room. "Kate whats wrong?"

Brian rushed in right behind Abby, frowning when he saw Kate pointing to her open closet. "There's something in there," Kate whimpered.

Brian frowned and he walked over, moving some boxes out of the way and making a face when he saw a dead animal in there.

Abby's body tensed a she walked over to Brian and the dead animal to take a closer look. She was a licensed but non-practicing vet so for the most part the animal doctor in her was curious to how and how recently the animal had especially since it hasn't been in the closet last night. "Brian take Kay downstairs into the kitchen area with Aiden and promise me you'll stay there," she spoke. She kneeled in front of the animal, touching its fur when everyone else was gone, trying to see if there was any body heat on the animal still. The mangled mass of what she assumed was a small rodent was still warm and when she pulled her hands away they were covered in blood.

Abby grabbed an empty box from the closet, carefully placing it inside before she went to wash her hands. When she walked back into the room, the box and the small pool of blood the animal had left was gone.

Brian sat downstairs with Kate and Aiden, rubbing Kay's back and kissing the top of her head. She was still tired when she'd woken up and smelled the dead animal in her closet. He listened to her slowly fall asleep as he gently rocked her in his arms, watching Aiden who was watching Saturday morning cartoons.

Abby walked downstairs after ten minutes, having looked for an explanation for the box and blood disappearing. What she ended up finding was a false wall in her daughter's closet that looked like it had a dun waiter type elevator in it. "Brian can you call Matt and Val have them come over." She sat down next to Brian, running her hands through her daughters hair. "Val or someone needs to watch the kids while you and Matt help me figure out what other hidden stuff this house has."

When she saw the look Brian gave her, the brunette placed Kay on the couch with a blanket to cover her before she lead him back upstairs to their daughter's room and showed him what she had found. "The carcass was fresh Bri. Only a six to twelve hours old if that and if there's something in this house I want to kill it and keep our kids safe."

Brian gently touched her back. "Hey, just take a deep breath. It's probably a raccoon or something. We'll call an exterminator," he said.

Abby frowned. "I've never known of any vermin that could use a knife Brian," she stated. "That thing was essentially stabbed to death and then gutted."

Brian made a face. "Are you sure you're not overcompensating because you're afraid the kids will get hurt?" he asked.

"Whether you believe me or not I'm grabbing a flash light and my mace and seeing where this thing leads," Abby stated. She walked out if the room, grabbing the things she's need and crawled into the small pulley elevator, frowning when the rope wouldn't budge no matter why she did.

"Abby, get out of there before you get stuck," Brian sighed.

Abby finally gave up on trying to get the pulley elevator to move, climbing out and grabbed her cellphone from her bedroom. She checked the time to make sure it was a time Matt would be awake. When's she saw it was she dialed the buff man's number, asking him to come over with the tools she figured they'd need to get the rope unstuck.

Brian walked into the bedroom and sighed as he looked at her. "Abby, will you please take a chill pill?" he asked.

"How the fuck would you feel if the only kids you physically can ever have fucked up shit happen to them," Abby snapped. "If you were in my shoes you'd be a little fucking paranoid about what's going on too." The brunette sat down on the ledge of their bed and began to cry softly after she realized what she had said. She had told Brian essentially the reason until last night she hadn't let him touch her in a while.

Last time she had visited her doctor they had told her she had a condition called poly cystic and that it would essentially leave her sterile. The only reason they had insisted on giving her birth control is because they wanted her to have a normal menstral.

Brian's eyes widened as he stood there, biting his lip hard. He looked down at her and shook his head. "You were keeping a secret from me?" he hissed. "I thought we were fucking better than that, Abby!" He walked out of the room and slammed the door shut behind him, going downstairs and rounding up the kids. He carried them out to the car and strapped them into their seats before he got in and drove off to Matt's house.

Abby continued to cry even at Matt showed up. She wrapped her arms around his waist and so be into his chest. "I fucks up big time Matt. I dont know what to do."

"Jesus fucking Christ," Matt groaned. "What did you do now?"

"Brian said I was overreacting about asking you to come over with your tools and we got into a fight," Abby sniffled. "It was bad Matt. He even took the kids and left somewhere with them."

Kay sighed as she squirmed in her car seat. "Daddy why are we going to uncle Matt's? Are you divorcing her?" Aiden smacked Kay's arm, causing her to start to cry. "No idiot. Dad loves mom. She's just stupid and keeps secrets so dad is punishing her."
