"A dead mouse isn't a big issue, Abby," Matt sighed.

Brian frowned as he listened to both of them, shaking his head as he pulled over and turned to look at them. "You're both wrong, and Aiden, I don't want to hear that shit again, you understand?" He sighed softly. "Mommy and I are mad at each other, but I'm not punishing her, and we're not getting a divorce."

"It wasn't a mouse," Abby mumbled. "It looked like a raccoon or something."

"Liar," Aiden mumbled under his breath.

"Then you had a raccoon," Matt shrugged. "Still, it's no big deal. I think you're just stressed out from the move and everything and you're just imagining things to be bigger than they are," he said. "You need to just calm down." He pulled away from her, raising an eyebrow when he saw bruises on her neck and he smirked. "You and Brian get a little rough last night?"

Brian whipped around and narrowed his eyes at Aiden. "What was that?" he asked.

Abby frowned. "What are you talking about? We weren't rough last night."

Aiden glared at his father but didn't say anything.

"Oh, please," Matt scoffed. "You don't have to lie. Look at those bruises."

Brian glared right back at him. "We can do this all day, Aiden," he said.

Abby looked at herself in the mirror hanging nearby, her eyes widening when she saw the marks on her neck. "Unless he did that after I went to bed I don't know how that happened."

"You know mom's going to end up leaving you because you and stupid uncle Matt make her hate herself," Aiden snapped. "She's always mumbling about how you'd be happier with Aunt Val's sister and if we go home and mom isn't there I'm gonna run away!" Aiden unbuckled his booster seat and climbed out of the car, walking back towards home.

Matt rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah," he mumbled. "Just show me where this elevator is."

Brian's eyes widened and he got out of the car, running after Aiden and picking him up. He carried him back to the car and spanked his butt before locking him back in his seat and smacking his hand. "You don't do that, Aiden," he hissed. "That's bad."

Abby led Matt upstairs and showed him the elevator in Kay's room.

Matt sighed and got on his knees, crawling in and making a face. "Jesus, it smells like death in here."

Brian sighed softly. "Baby, we can't go home right now. Uncle Matt is helping Mommy clean out your closet to make sure there's not an animal in there," he said.

Abby managed to climb into the small space with Matt, letting out an inaudie scream when the elevator started going down fast. She grabbed the rope, burning the palms of her hands before they got to the bottom. The brunette grabbed the flashlight she had grabbed, crawling out of the space, feeling nauseous when the light showed a pile of dead and mutilated animal corpses. "Matt please tell me I'm not just imaging this."

"Oh Jesus Christ," Matt groaned, covering his nose. He crawled out and pulled her away from the animals. "Shit, this is nasty. You need to call an exterminator."

Aria walked further through the small are, her eyes widening when she saw something shine I'm the corner of her eye. She pointed the flash light directly in the direction, seeing a bloody knife on the floor. "Matt that's a fucking knife! Someone is down here! I don't need an exterminator I need a fucking gun!"

Matt rolled his eyes. "For all you know, that could have been down here for ages. The blood on it looks dry, and we wouldn't even be able to tell because of the fucking smell down here," he said. "You need to call someone to get all this shit out of here and then get an exterminator to spray your house so animals will stay away."

Abby glared at Matt but decided there was no point in arguing with him. She let him lead her back to the elevator and back upstairs to Kay's room. Her body was physically trembling from the shock of what she saw. She grabbed her cellphone and called he father since he was an exterminator, asking for help with the situation.

Matt sighed softly as he watched her. "I can try to fix the elevator if you want," he said. "But I can't promise it'll be perfect."

Abby nodded. "Thank you Matt."

Matt nodded his head. He sat in the closet and tried to figure out how to pull the elevator back up.

Abby ran her hands through her hair as she moved to sit next to Matt in the closet. "You know you should probably calm down with all your complaining about Val's pregnancy hormones," she mumbled. "Women can't help how they feel when they're pregnant."

Matt felt a sudden anger come over and he stood up and whirled around, glaring at Abby. "Why don't you mind your own goddamn business?" he hissed.
