Complicated Equations

"Is that so?" He replied as he leaned into her fingers while she played with his head. He let his eyes fall closed, a smile upon his lips. His hand ran up and down her leg, from her knee to mid calf.

Ophelia looked at him through the slits in her fingers and sighed. "You don't know that. You've only spent a few weeks with me." She took her hands and ran them through her blond locks, lightly.

"Mmhmm." She told him a smile on her face as she ran her fingers through his hair. She felt his hand on her knee and how it ran down her leg. She shivered at this and bit her lip as she looked up at him.

Jake smiled softly, "I already know you well enough." He said as he stood up and crouched down beside her. "Hey, it'll be Okay. I promise." He told her as he rubbed her back very lightly and soothingly.

"Mmhmm." She told him a smile on her face as she ran her fingers through his hair. She felt his hand on her knee and how it ran down her leg. She shivered at this and bit her lip as she looked up at him.

Jake smiled softly, "I already know you well enough." He said as he stood up and crouched down beside her. "Hey, it'll be Okay. I promise." He told her as he rubbed her back very lightly and soothingly.

Zayne could feel her shudder and a devious smile tugged at his lips. His imagination started thinking of a million things he could do with her, but he doubted she'd let him. At least, not on the first date.

He was close enough that she could smell his cologne; which was a pretty nice smell. Her breathing became a little hitched, seeing his face so close to hers. Ophelia wanted to reach out and touch him, maybe even lean in a kiss him... But she fought the urge, knowing he might not like the idea.

Aria hummed lightly as she looked up at him. She saw that smiled and went to push some hair back from his face. She smiled a bit as she did so. She then went to drop her hand guessing he wouldn't like that.

Jake heard her breathing and said, "Ophelia? Are you okay?" He looked down at her and then got on his knees so he could see her face. "Hey, come on." He said and rubbed her arms lightly. God she was beautiful. He shook it from his head.

Zayne grabbed at her hand, "You didn't have to stop." A smile lit up his face as he looked into her eyes. "I suppose I better add the noodles and such now." He removed her legs gently and kissed her hand softly before heading back to the stove.

"Mhm," it was barely whisper. Her heart was thudding harshly at his closeness; she could almost feel his breath on her lips. The air from her lungs was getting caught in her throat as she looked into his. Without really giving herself a moment to think about it, she leaned in and brushed her lips against his.

Aria blinked and smiled hearing him. She giggled running a hand through her own hair. She smiled and said, "Alright." She let him move her legs. She looked at him and felt him kiss her hand. She nibbled at her lip watching him.

Jake watched her and heard her reply and relaxed hearing her tell him she was okay. He sighed in relief and looked down at him. His sapphire eyes were brightly lit. He blinked when she kissed him and kissed her back wrapped his arms around her. Everything was screaming it was wrong but it felt right.

Zayne went to work at the stove, creating what was - hopefully - some of the greatest spaghetti to ever be made. He prepared it and brought it over to the table where she sat and a smile played at his lips. "I have a surprise," he said before going to the fridge to pull out a bottle of wine.

Ophelia gasped as she felt his arms go around her, causing her to deepen the kiss. Her hands trailed upwards to tangle themselves in his soft locks and pull him even closer.

Aria smiled and said, "It looks delicious!!" She smiled and said, "I can't wait to taste it." She blinked hearing him say he had a surprise. She watched as he pulled wine out. She smiled and said, "Awh, you're so sweet. And romantic." She told him giving a small laugh.

Jake felt like his whole world was floating. He felt himself deepen the kiss and kept that stroking her hair back. He knew it was wrong but it felt so right. So so right. He pulled away to let them both breathe and breathed out, "Holy hell."

"Only when there's a lady around that is as sweet and lovely as yourself, which isn't often." Zayne poured the wine in their glasses and put some food on plates.

Ophelia wasn't sure what to say as he pulled away. The bell rang before she had the chance to say anything, causing her to scramble away from him. "Um, I'll see you after school?"

Aria smiled happily and said, "thank you. You're so sweet." She reached up and pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek. She smiled and said, "Next time, I'll cook for you." She smiled.

Jake's eyes were saucers as he watched her. He heard her and nodded waving. He then buried his face I'm his hands thinking he was stupid. He shouldn't of done that.

"That sounds like a plan." Zayne smiled at the girl next to him. "I'm going to hold you to it," he chuckled.

Ophelia stuck the tip of her thumb in her mouth, nervously. She could not believe that she had kissed him. Where had all that courage even come from? Shaking her head, she made her way to her next class in a daze.

Aria chuckled eating while she listened to him talk. She then said, "I will. I think I'll cook you chicken or something." She said. She ran a hand through her hair.

Jake taught his classes itching to get to the end of the day. He wanted to know what the hell was happening between her and him. He sighed softly and put grades in as well.

"Or something?" Zayne's eyebrow quirked upwards as another chuckle escaped from between his lips. He swirled his fork in the noodles, gathering them up before taking a bite.

Ophelia's next classes dragged on, so very slowly. In each one she would stare murderously at the clock, while tapping the pencil against her desk and her foot against the tiled floor. A whoosh of breath passed between her lips as the final bell finally rang, and her heart leapt into her throat.

"Or something?" Zayne's eyebrow quirked upwards as another chuckle escaped from between his lips. He swirled his fork in the noodles, gathering them up before taking a bite.

Ophelia's next classes dragged on, so very slowly. In each one she would stare murderously at the clock, while tapping the pencil against her desk and her foot against the tiled floor. A whoosh of breath passed between her lips as the final bell finally rang, and her heart leapt into her throat.

Aria laughe and said, "Or something." She smiled. She quickly finished her dinner with him happily. "That was delicious. Thank you." She told him smiling. She threaded her fingers together and put them under her chin as she propped her head up.

Jake sighed softly to himself as the time dragged on excruciatingly slowly. He ran a hand through his hair lightly. He sighed in relief when the last bell rang. "No homework tonight." He said and stood up and watched them leave and stood by the door watching the kids leave.

She weaved quickly through the crowd of students, nearly running into a few and almost tripping over a few of them. Ophelia was almost out of breath as she paced herself quickly to the classroom belonging to her teacher with her head down watching her feet. As she went to look up, she ran into the chest of someone who was clearly a man and a mumbled "sorry" passed through her lips. She glanced up and her cheeks blazed what she assumed a very red color, "Mr. Williams..."

(So sorry. I started cosmetology school and somehow I didn't have a notification for this. I hope you have/are healing very well from getting your tonsils removed.)
