Couldn't Get to You.

"I'd like that," James nodded, glad that Clara was so understanding. Coming to New York wasn't all about putting on a disguise and pretending to be Clara's boyfriend. He needed answers, and he still felt as lost as he had done in the beginning, if not more. Part of him wondered if it was even worth looking for who he used to be. Maybe he just needed to take a plunge and move forward with his life, decide who he was on his own. Things would fall into place eventually, but right now he was just freaking himself out.

"It's settled then." Clara smiled. "We'll pay for your shirts, get some takeout and head back to the motel." She knew that this all was probably extremely overwhelming for him. She hadn't questioned him too much about what he remembered, fearing that he'd find out the truth about her, but she was under the impression that he at least remembered some of his old life. Probably brief glimpses here and there which likely just made things all the more confusing and overwhelming for him. She was here to help him though, and that was something she didn't intend to go back on.
