Love and Vengeance

He grinned. "But you need the training, you should do them." He said pretending to be serious. He liked pissing her off. It was a new kind of entertainment for him.

I smiled. "I hope that one day I find someone who wants love as much as I do." I said quietly, trailing off before shaking my head. "Maybe We should start heading back." I said, remembering that he was almost a complete stranger, and probably didn't need to hear me talk about such things.

"I have plenty of training in sewing as I've nearly finished sewing my entire wardrobe of new dresses. Besides, you need the practice, giving stitches definitely isn't a womans job," she told him.

He smiled a little,"Love is important," he told her lightly, "but so is compromise," he said lightly.

I nodded. "That's true. It's rare to find someone who will agree with everything you say, so I would say compromise is just as important as trust, but just a little less important than love."

He shrugged. "Lucy can do it. Medicine knows no gender. If it did, your brother would be hopping instead of limping."

"I'm not stitching your shirts," she told him as she licked her lips.

He nodded and smiled a little as he looked at her,"I see, well hopefully I can find someone," he told her.

I smiled at him. "You will. Maybe you'll just run into someone, but it'll happen. I think love works in mysterious ways. And there is a matchmaker in town too, if you'd rather meet someone like that." I said as we walked.

He shrugged. "You'll need to learn to tailor it to men. It's basic wife training, you should know this for your future life." He smirked at her.

She scoffed,"Hemming a mans shirt is no different then hemming my skirts, I have all the practice I need. Besides I'm not marrying til I'm good and ready," she told him, "A luxury I wouldnt' have had otherwise," she snorted.

He smiled a little,"It does," he told her lightly,"But a matchmaker is too formal,"

I shrugged. "A lot of people go to her." I said with a sigh. "I'm hoping I just sort of run into this person, whoever i'm going to be with."

He smirked. "Never hurts to practice. You know, refine your skills."

He nodded,"I can get that," he told her.

She smiled,"I'll refine them my way," she told him as she put the needle into her pin cushion

I smiled a little and sighed. "Do you want to sit and rest? We've done a lot of walking." I said, turning to him.

He watched her. "Suit yourself." He murmured quietly. "All this tenseness you've got inside isn't healthy. You're too high strung. You baby the boy and he's a man, whether you want him to be or not. That being said, my bed is always open for you if you need help relaxing."

"No, I'm fine," he told her lightly.

She scoffed a little and scowled at him,"I'd rather hang," she told him as she walked off to her room slamming the door behind her.

I nodded a little as we walked. "Well, if you decide to start looking for a wife or to run into her, town is the best place to go. Especially by the pub. Depending on the type of woman you were looking for."

He smirked as he watched her leave, finishing his drink and leaving to go back to his room.

She put her dresses away and sighed as she sat on her bed then rubbed her face.

He smiled a little,"Well we'll see,"

I nodded and sighed. "Do you want to start heading back?" I asked him quietly.

He nodded,"Sure," he said to her smiling.

I smiled a little. "There's a party at the hall later tonight. Do you want to go? It might be nice for you and Constance to get out and meet some people. You're healing a lot faster than I expected, so you'll need to start walking more instead of staying in bed."

He sighed,"I don't think she'll want to go, she isn't really good with people," hbe told her lightly.

I nodded a little. "Well the option is there if you or she wants it." I said with a shrug. "If you don't mind me asking, arent you raised to be good with people? Being royal, shouldn't you both have amazing people skills?"

"We are raised that way but, she prefers silence," he told her lightly.

"Silence." I repeated, nodding as we walked. "She probably didn't get that often at the castle. It'll be even harder to have it around here."

He shook his head,"No, she was rarely alone," he sighed, "Our parents were getting ready to marry her off to the northern power," he said to her lightly.
