Then You Found Me

Annabell smiled and nodded. "Yeah... I just don't know if I will ever have a reason to wear it." she said and chuckled. Annabell fell into step with him as they continued to look for things for themselves. She really was glad he was here and yet she was so nervous to say anything about it. Somehow she had become afraid of being alone again. "Alex..." she tested out the nickname. "You know I want you to stay right?" she whispered her question afraid of his answer. She hoped he would get what she was trying to say.

Alexandre smiled at her. "I'm sure you'll find a reason." He grins, "What is it anyway?"
He walked around with her, looking for anything that could be of use. He took some stuff that they could use as bandages, if they ever needed it. (Hopefully they wouldn't.)
Alexandre looked down at her when she began to talk, shocked to hear a nickname for him. He stopped walking for a minute. She wanted him to stay? Sure, he thought he would stay for a while, but he always thought that once he was fully healed that she would kick him to curb. "You do?" He asked, almost silently. "I mean, I want to stay, but I don't want to be a burden."

Annabell smiled. "It's a dress." she said and shrugged. "I didn't have one." she said and shrugged. She stopped and bit her lip watching him. She nodded to answer his question. "If you want to stay then stay. I... I just know you pull your own weight and the quiet is well... it's not so bad with you around." she said softly and smiled looking up at him. Annabell ran a hand timidly through her hair. "You don't have to stay though... it's only if you want to." she said and looked down at the floor.

Alexandre smiled at her, "That's a good reason." He begins to walk a bit. "I want to stay." He says, "But only if you let me. I know you said I could, but I really want you to think about it, okay?"

Annabell nodded and walked with him. She was glad he wanted to stay. That meant he would. She grinned and sighed. "How are you doing? Are you feeling like we should head back?"

Alexandre shrugs, his stomach wounds a throbbing dully. "I can go back whenever you're ready," He says, "Within the next thirty minutes would be nice though."

Annabel smiled and shook her head. "Naw I'm oh had enough for one day." She said and chuckled. "Besides being out to long is what got you in this situation to begin with." Annabell smiled. She was feeling really happy knowing he was staying.

Alexandre smiled slightly, "That's true. It's hard to keep up on time when you have no idea what time of day it is."
They walked out of the store together.

Annabell nodded and smiled as they headed back to the hotel. She frowned as he started to slow. He looked tired. She slipped under his arm and helped him. "Lean a little on me. I am sorry I should have brought you back sooner." Annabell bit her lip looking up at him. They were almost there now but they still had the stairs.

Alexandre started to feel pain in side when they finally arrived at the building Annabell lived in. It hurt, but he knew they were close so he carried on. "Honestly, don't worry about it," He smiles, "It was my fault. I over did it."

Annabell smiled and shook her head. "No I as your doctor am responsible for you." she said and then helped him into the apartment and laid him on the couch. "Aww. Alright." she said and stood. "Alright now let me see. Take off your shirt." she said and blushed. "I... I umm need to make sure your stitches held."

Alexandre held back a small chuckle at how nervous Annabell had gotten saying that. He nodded at her request, carefully removing his shirt as to not break any of the stitches.

Annabell smiled softly thankful that he didn't laugh out right. She got some new gauze and then moved to his side and unwrapped him looking at his stitches. It seemed that they held. She sighed with relief and redressed his wound before wrapping him back up. She smiled when she was done. "Alright you're good to go." she said and sat down on the floor beside him. "But you need to stay immobile for a little while." she said and looked at him.

Alexandre let her work on his body, seemingly loosing himself in his own thoughts when she began to talk to him. "Thank you," He smiled at her, bringing his shirt back over his head. He frowned at her next words, but agreed, sitting down at the table.

Annabell chuckled as he got up and went to the table right as she said he ended to stay still. She started to put their things away. "Are you hungry?" she asked not really hungry herself at the moment but since he was in here she thought she would ask.

Alexandre looked at her, "I'm okay for now, thanks." He offered her a small smile, before quietly resting his hands on the table. He tried to stay mostly still, keeping his body calm, but it wasn't something he was very good at.

"Okay." Annabell said and smiled. Once she was done she sat down across from him. "So Alex... tell me some more about you." she said needing something to do with her hands but not knowing what to do.

Alexandre looks to her as she sits across from him. "Like what kind of things?" He asks, not really sure of what to say to her.

"I don't know like how you ended up alone on the other side of town?" Annabell asked.

Alexandre's eyes widened slightly, before dropping his gaze to the table. He hadn't thought about his family in a long time, just his own survival. But now the memories were coming back to haunt him. His mother's calm, his father's strength and his brother's courage. These things had gotten them killed, but it was still the most he remembered of him.

"Uh, my family and I lived over there. My mom didn't like the city and my father would do anything for my mom. So we lived far from city, and our camp was set up in our house." Alexandre clears his voice, as his voice was beginning to grow weak and saddened.
