Then You Found Me

Annabell watched him. She bit her lip. She hadn't meant to make him sad. She looked down a the table knowing she should have realized. It was stupid to ask that question. She looked back at him listening to him talk about his family. He cleared his voice and she bit her lip. "You don't have to talk about this now. I'm sorry I wasn't thinking..." she said and reached out touching his hand.

Alexandre sighed, resting his head on his arm, slouched onto the table. He felt sad, that much was true. Still, it almost felt nice talking about them. Like they hadn't lost their lives. Like he could get into a car and drive home, and there they would be, waiting for him. Thinking like that, put a crushing weight on his heart and he sighed, pitifully almost. "It's not your fault," Alex dismisses, "I just haven't thought about them in a while." He curls his hand into hers, holding onto her softly.

Annabell smiled softly as he took her hand in his. She gently ran her thumb over his skin soothingly. "Yeah it's nice to think about family once in a while." She said and watched him then looked at their hands and she blushed softly and looked down a lovely smile briefly flashed. She didn't know how long it had been since she had been touched in even such an innocent way. It felt really nice and made her long for a hug, to be held and to hold. Annabel was realizing she would always want more than she had.

Alexandre didn't say anything, only thinking to himself quietly. What if his brother was still alive? His parents? What if they had never died? Would he spend so much of his time alive regretting certain words he said? Would he think to tell them that he loved them more? What if this thing never happened? Would he have ever met Annabell? Could they have been friends? Or more?
It's taunting to think about a different life. Of what could have been.
He sighs, bringing his other hand to hold her one. He curls his hand to cup hers, rubbing soothing circles on her knuckles.

Annabell smiled and looked down at his hands on hers. "Alexandre..." She didn't know how to say what she felt. Annabell really was just glad he was around. It didn't feel so lonely with him here.

Alexandre shifted his head to stare into her eyes. Just looking at her made him feel less alone. Her presences felt comforting, like a warm blanket on a cold day.

Annabell wondered how he could look at her like that and not expect her not to fall for him. But then again maybe, just maybe that was what he actually did want. She blushed and then looked back down. "So what did you do for fun?" she asked trying to take her mind off of his beautiful lips.

Alexandre thought for a couple moments. "Before this started, I really enjoyed playing with my dog. She was my buddy. I also liked going to the movies, making art and taking pictures. I actually wanted to be a film director." He admits.
He shrugs, a small laugh escaping his lips. "I miss new movies and my dog."

Annabell nodded and patted his hand. "I'm sorry." she said and bit her lip. She wished there was something she could say to make him happy again. It seemed all she could do was make him miss the past. "I would have liked to see your art. You probably would have been a great film director." she said and wished they still had those things too. "But I have old movies." she said.

Alexandre nodded. "When we travel back to my place you can see some of the stuff I made." He thinks about going home, and he wonders if it'll still feel the same way. "Thanks," He smiles softly, shrugging slightly.

Annabell smiled. The day went on and they carried about their normal ways but something was kidding there in their small talk.

A month and a half had passed by since they had talked about going to Alexandre's place. Tomorrow they where leaving for his place. Annabell looked over at him as they watched this movie for like the fourth time in a row. She reached over and poked his side. "Hey." she whispered teasingly. She poke his side some more still trying to find a tickle spot on him. He had yet t really try one on her and she knew once he did that he would find she was ticklish about everywhere.

Alexandre jerked when she poked at is side.
"Hey now," His eyes tear away from the TV to look at her. "That's not fair." A smirk comes over his features, as he quickly pokes at her side.

Annabell squealed and rolled around slipping to the ground. Alexandre followed her and kept ticking her until she begged him to stop. She grabbed his hands and looked up at him as she sat up realizing how close they where together. Her entire body came alive with the closeness. She swallowed and licked her bottom lip her eyes looking at his lip. She leaned in more her hand moving to his chest. She blushed moving her face closer to his her head tipping so he could kiss her. She let her eyes flutter close and she hoped for just a second that he felt the same way.

Alexandre stared down into Annabell's eyes for what felt like hours. He saw the way her eyes fluttered closed and how she tipped her head. A soft glow on her cheeks made him feel entranced by her. It was as if he couldn 't take his eyes off of her.
Slowly, he leaned down, his own eyes beginning to close. He could feel the soft breathes coming from her slightly parted lips. His lips brushed over hers, just a ghost of a touch. His heart was beating so fast in his chest. It felt as if it would jump right through him. A blush comes over him as Alexandre realizes she can feel just how fast his heart is going.

Annabell felt him move close his lips brushing hers and her stomach leapt. Her breathing hitched and she felt like she could be trapped in this moment forever and it would be perfect. Annabell could feel his heart racing under her fingers. She smiled softly and then ran her hand up and cupped the back of his neck. She leaned her head against his softly and then pressed her lips against his a little harder. She sighed into the kiss and then pulled back her head spinning. She felt like she had no air in her lungs and yet she didn't care. "Alex..." she whispered and bit her bottom lip then moved her hand back to his chest her hand smoothing out his shirt. She didn't dare open her eyes yet. It felt to nice to be this close to him and sharing this moment. Alexandre was irresistible to her and the tease of his lips had not been enough. Now though she felt calmer and centered like a piece of her just fell into place.

Alexandre resisted the urge to kiss her again. It was nice, being this close to someone. He's felt lonely for a long time and it felt great not to be alone. Up until now, he was truly alone. Even as he sat next to her, they had been strangers and didn't know each other. Instead of kissing her again, Alex pulled her into his arms, burying his face into her hair. He could feel her soft breathes on his chest and he could feel his heart slowing down again.

Annabell gasped as he pulled her in and she hugged him gently back. She listened to his heart beat and she closed her eyes listening. She wondered how he did it. She looked up at him best she could without pulling away. Her head was spinning and her heart yearning for his affection and here he was just hugging her.

Alexandre closed his eyes, feeling a certain calm come over. Still, a hot blush came over his body, making his face burn a bright red. He sighed, brushing his fingers through her hair. He opened his eyes and gazed down to Annabell. Slowly, he pulled away from their embrace and leaned back down to catch her lips again.

Annabell relaxed into the hug. He moved and looked at her. Then her lips met his again and she clung to him more her hands moving up into his hair pushing it back then wrapping her arms around his neck as she sighed feeling like she truly found somewhere to be. Annabell broke away to breath and she looked into his eyes. She bit her lip and pecked his lips once more. She then laid her head on his chest and closed her eyes just savoring the moment. She now understood why he had stopped. It felt nice to be kissed. Being kissed was different than kissing someone else. Annabell noticed the difference and she was feeling overwhelmed with gratitude that she could feel feel the difference that she got a change to have Alexandre in her life.

Alexandre rested his head on top of hers. His heart was beating wildly in his chest and a bright blush colored his cheeks. He took a very deep breath and closed his eyes.
