Jessie smiled, she would let Zacky know that Kali would be attending the BBQ as well. "When I first got my job at the bar downtown, Zacky was somewhat a regular and the band had done a few home shows their well me and Zacky got chatting," explained Jessie as she flattened a cardboard box, "I would have introduced you to them earlier but they are always on tour, they only got back a couple of weeks ago." Jessie then grabbed another box labelled glasses and she began to unpack it. "They are a good bunch of guys."

Zacky said nothing as he pulled the grill to the patio area. "Nothing, nothing, it just, if you did she like a sister to me," answered Zacky, he didn't want to cause any unwanted tension between him and Matt not when he was helping him out. "I will probably have to go buy some gas and food in a bit." Zacky wiped some dust off the grill before heading over to the pool which was currently covered. "Matt, there should be some chairs in the garage can you get them for us!"

Matt huffed pulling the chairs out of the garage. "What else needs to be done beside the kitchen?" He asked, wondering what all his friend had yet to unpack. He didn't mind helping but he would like to actually enjoy a barbeque and not a half assed one.

"Tour?" Kali asked, she could have sworn she'd seen the guys somewhere before but couldn't place it. Though with her life being controlled at every turn, she really didn't have much time to indulge in things out of school. Summer was her time to be free, and that's where Jessie always came in. Since she wasn't old enough to get into bars, Jessie always made sure they had their fun no matter what they had to do.

"Yeah, I'd say they are big in their music scene," shrugged Jessie. Jessie made a note of taking Kali to one of their shows. Jessie was a few years older than Kali but that didn't mind to Jessie, she saw Kali as the little sister she never had so she was more than willing to skip the bars to do something with Kali. "Zack will be able to tell you where they have just played." Jessie finished with the box and glanced around the kitchen everything seemed pretty much done for a BBQ.

Zacky glanced at the chairs and then to Matt as he began to take the cover off the pool. "I'd say we are done, apart from the food and booze run. No one is going to be in the house anyhow," shrugged Zacky "You wanna join me on the run, if not I can asking Jessie."

Matt shrugged, "I really don't." He chuckled shaking his head. He'd like to crack open a cold one and kick up his feet, something he should have been doing instead of here helping Zack.

Kali shrugged, "I thought I recognized them, though then again I could have seen them anywhere." She chuckled. Her parents were always moving their family. The only thing that was certain in Kali's life was summer, she never missed a summer visit to her grandparents and they made sure she didn't. The last time her parents had tried to keep her from coming her grandfather walked through her dad and took her.

Jessie nodded it was understandable she knew how much Kali family travelled. From the kitchen window it looked like Matt and Zacky were done with the back yard. "He is going to ask me to go on a food and booze run," stated Jessie, it looked like Matt had just declined the offer, "I'm really not up for going after working at the bar since we opened." Jessie sighed as picked up the cardboard boxes and shoved them by the recycle, someone would take them out later.

"Fair enough," shrugged Zacky as he made his way to the back door of his house, "you going to be staying here or you off back home will I do the run?" Zacky glanced through the window of the kitchen and saw Jessie shake her head, she had already clicked.

Matt shrugged, "there's really no point of me going home." He told his friend, idiot he thought to himself. "I'll more than likely chill on your couch." He chuckled. Walking inside with him.

Kali nibbled on her lip, the kitchen was done. "Well I don't mind going, I mean if he really needs help." She shrugged. Jessie seemed to really trust these guys so Kali would give them the benefit of the doubt.

Jessie smiled at her friend, "Zacky would appreciate and trust me he is lovely," smiled Jessie, "Zack, I'm not going, I've just finished a shift at the bar and I just want to rest my feet for five minutes. But Kali on the other hand is willing to go." Jessie said as she indicated to Kali.

Zacky looked at Jessie and he couldn't help but roll his eyes. "Fine you can stay here with Matt, we shouldn't be too long," replied Zacky as he grabbed his car keys from the kitchen counter, "You ready Kali?" Asked Zacky with a soft smile.

Matt chuckled out shaking his head. "Nice send the newbie with Zack." He chuckled before winking at Kali. The last thing he wanted was to scare Jessie's friend off. Smirking he moved to Zack's fridge pulling out one of the last cold beers before retreating to the living room.

Kali nodded before looking over at Jessie, "as ready as I'll ever be." She whispered out. Moving towards the front door, she was kind of leery about going somewhere alone with someone she'd just meet.

Jessie rolled her eyes at Matt, "She is not a newbie Sanders she is my friend," responded Jessie, "You will be fine Kali, any problems just give us a ring." Jessie then watched Kali leave with Zacky before turning to face Matt, who had a beer in his hand.

Zacky reached his car and unlocked waiting for Kali to get inside. "I promise we won't be long, I know it might be weird you going with me to the shops and all that," smiled Zacky as he started his car, "So how long have you know Jessie?"

Matt chuckled, "what?" He asked Jessie when she looked at him. "It's only fair to rial the new kids." He smirked, "if I remember you had a few hazes back when you first meet us." He said moving to the living room, plopping down on the couch.

Kali shrugged slipping into his car. "It doesn't bother me any." That was a bit of a lie, though it really didn't matter. She just wanted to get out for awhile, being away from all family made her feel a bit of freedom. "We've none each other since I was like five." She said shrugging. "She was one of my grandparents old neighbors."

"I know, I know but I am just a little protective over her," admitted Jessie, "But she will be fine with Zacky, he is a sweetheart when he wants to be." Jessie then joined Matt on the couch she just wanted to put her feet up for a bit.

"Ah so a long time then," nodded Zacky, "I think Jessie may have mentioned you in conversation. So your grandparents live next door? They seem alright folks." Zacky made the way out of the neighbour hood and in the direction of the store.

Matt smiled before placing his hand on her thigh, "she's safe, and you know it." He told her giving her leg a gently squeeze, his thumb then rubbing small circles into the fabric of her jeans.

Kali shrugged, "they have there moments." She chuckled, smiling over at him. She liked that he was trying to make things light between them. Her hands knotted together, as she stared down at them, her comfort level waving.

Jessie nodded in agreement, Zacky would never do anything to hurt Kali, he wouldn't dream of it. Jessie felt Matt's thumb rub small circles in her jeans, it did not bother. Jessie leaned over Matt and quickly grabbed his can of beer taking a swig before handing it back to him. "I can't be bothered to get one," replied Jessie with a small laugh.

Zacky was soon pulling into the store car park. "Quick question, how old are you?" Asked Zacky as he killed the car engine.

Matt chuckled shaking his head. "You know most guys would make you pay for that." He teased her looking at the can in his hand. A soft smirk formed on his lips, he knew of ways he'd like for her to pay. Sighing he took a drink of his beer, slapping those thouhts down before it got him into trouble.

Kali's eyes widen breifly, swallowing the small lump in her throat. She looked up at him. "Seventeen." She said, her voice soft but laced with a bit of pride. She knew she wasn't turning eighteen for a couple of month but she'd come a long way in her short seventeen years. And by the time she'd be eighteen she'd have fought and won a dangerous battle, and managed to keep her innocense intact. Something most people would find hard to believe. But battling with the thoughts of being fat and ugly only aided her fight in never letting anyone see her body.

Jessie rolled her eyes a little at Matt. "Yeah but you are not most guys," replied Jessie with a smile, "Your big tough guy act doesn't scare me." Jessie teased. Jessie ran a hand through her long brunette hair, Jessie quickly found a hair tie in her jeans pocket and quickly put her hair in a long ponytail.

Zacky was surprised, she looked older but he was fine with it. "That's fine, after we have got the food I can go to the liquor store and get some alcohol," smiled Zacky as he slipped out of his car, "Remind me, I need to get some gas for the BBQ, I will probably get to the counter and forget." Zacky was surprised but her age but it didn't bother him, it was not like at the BBQ which he assumed she would be attending she would shoving alcohol down her neck.

Matt chuckled shaking his head. "I don't want to scare you." He told her honestly, "beside," he grabbed her ponytail, and tugged lightly, making her look up at him. "I could if I wanted." He told her his voice soft and husky. His eyes watched her, wondering what her reaction would be like, he'd never gotten this bold with her.

Kali nodded, "okay." She told him softly. She trailed lightly behind him, finding it a bit uncomfortable to walk beside him. She didn't know if any of her grandparents friends were around, and she really didn't want them to tell that they'd seen her with an older man. The flipped enough when they found out about her eating disorder. So having a boyfriend wouldn't sit well with them. And him being much older they'd go balistic.

Jessie allowed Matt to gentle pull at her ponytail which made him look at her. Something about Matt's words and voice made her spine tingle with what she was not sure but she liked it. Jessie couldn't help but responded her act now, think later attitude kicked. "Oh I don't doubt that you could Matt," she replied with a smirk, "but you wouldn't dare." Jessie was toeing a very thin line.

As Zacky entered the store he picked up a basket tired to memorise what he needed for the BBQ. "Is there anything you want for the BBQ?," asked Zacky as he threw some bread buns and hot dog buns into his basket.

Matt's breath hitched, he was close to panting. He couldn't believe how she had responded, leaning into her. "Oh I would dare." He whispered out, his lips barely hovering over her's. "Though I think you could." He told her his eyes searching her face for any hint. He didn't want to cross that line unles she was sure she was willing to also.

Kali shrugged, "what do you guys normally have at your barbaques?" She quiped, not really knowing what these guys like to eat. To her food is food, meat is the best thing to have. The sides are just a bonus, as her doctor puts it.

Jessie swallowed the lump in her throat before she responded. Matt's lips hovered just above hers, she could feel his breathe on her skin and that tingle sensation on her spine was back. Smirking Jessie acted as she crashed her lips onto Matt's.

"Usual stuff," replied Zacky, he made a point to grabbed paper plates he did not feeling like washing up later on. "I will probably get some veggie stuff as well and some salads. Feel free to get anything." Zacky knew the food would get eaten, it would rare for anything to be left after BBQ with the guys.

Matt was taken back, though his hand moved to grasp the back of her neck. His lips moving against her's, feeling a new high. His body slowly started to react too, it had been a little while since he'd been with a woman. Breaking the kiss he panted lightly, before his lips devoured her's again.

Kali shrugged as just followed him around the store, she wasn't big on cooking so really she didn't know what to grab. Her idea of food was prepared meals, mainly healthy foods such as salads.
