Oh, Calamity!

Micah smiled at the band who looked at him curiously. "Something wrong with you, man?" The singer, David, asked. He had been friends this band for years now and they new about his relationship with Noel. Micah shrugged and just said, "A fight with Noel." They just laughed and shook their heads.

Victoria looked at him. "It's our wedding," she said. "I have still been thinking about it all, and I honestly can't make a solid decision on anything. I like too many things." She laughed at her indecisiveness.

Noel went through her normal routine, her older class in the morning and then her children's class in the afternoon. Thoughts of Micah crept into her mind but she simply pushes them away. After her second class she decided to go to subway across the street from the dance studio and just next to the recording studio. She went inside and got a sandwich and sat in the back booth.

Benji laughed lightly. "I know it's our wedding, but I'll be happy with whatever you choose because I'm happy when your happy." He said with a smile. "I know you really want a destination wedding, have you thought about where?"

Micah went with David and James the guitarist to the subway next to the recording studio. He didn't look around when he got there. He didn't really focus on anything. He was lost in his own thoughts now.

Victoria looked at him and looked at him. "What about in Italy? I have some family there, and they don't like flying so," she suggested looking at him. "Or Greece?"

Noel's breath caught in her throat and she pushed her sandwich away, sinking down a bit in her seat. She didn't want him to see her, it would just start a big fight and she would end up embarrassing herself in front of the band and him.

Benji smiled. "Either one is fine, I've never been to Italy, I think it would be so beautiful." He said and then opened his menu. "I am so hungry! Let's eat!" He said and smiled at her.

Micah noticed Noel sitting the back. He ignored her. He wasn't in the mood today to talk to her. He wasn't going to apologize at least not yet. He was stubborn. Besides, he needed to focus on how the album was going to sound and making it a good one.

Victoria smiled and nodded. She started to eat the food in front of her. She was happy to be with him. She looked at him. She was happy that he wanted to go to Italy for the wedding.

A few weeks later...

Noel was in fact pregnant, and it was of course Micah's seeing as he was the only one she had been with. They hadn't really talked much in the passed few weeks though in Noel's head, they were over and there was no reason for her to tell him she was pregnant. She had a huge recital the next night and she was very nervous. She took a break from dancing and sat in the window, looking out at the snow, her gaze of course going to the recording studio.

Benji sighed as he was sitting in his office calculating bills out for the wedding. He was a little worried about the amount of money they were trying to spend on the wedding, he didn't want to say anything to Victoria because he wanted her to have the perfect wedding. He didn't tell her that his firm was going under and he may lose his job.

Micah smiled as they finished recording the album. Everyone had been stressing about it, but now they didn't have to worry about finishing it and making it sound good. He still thought about Noel and he wondered what she was doing. He wasn't as irritated at her now that he had some time to cool off.

Victoria had noticed that Benji was worried about something. She had been trying to not go crazy with the wedding. She had even decided to do the wedding on her family's farm in Italy. It was a beautiful place there.

Noel was exhausted after hours of dancing and got her stuff together to head home. It was lightly snowing outside, Noel loved snow. She walked over to her car and put her stuff inside, though her car would not start. "Not today..." She muttered under her breath. She got her phone out of her pocket and bit her lip as she called Micah, waiting to see if he would answer.

Benji sighed and just threw his glasses on the table. He walked out of his office and wnet over to Victoria. "Why don't we just get out of here? Go away for the weekend go to Vegas and just get married!?" He asked hoping she would go for the idea. "It will be just me and you!"

Micah heard his phone ring. He looked at the caller ID for a second, wondering if he should answer it. He didn't even know what she wanted. He took a deep breathe and hit the talk button. "Hello," he said into the phone calmly like he had talked to her everyday. That was the only way he could talk to her, act like it was an every day thing. Otherwise, he would want to know why she decided to call him now. "Is there something going on?"

Victoria looked at him for a second. "What's with the sudden change of heart about how we marry?" she asked. "Although a wedding with Elvis Presley officiating it is kind of tempting, this is kind of sudden." Her eyes searched his face trying to read his mind. She was slightly worried that it was something related to money, and she wished that he would tell her what was going on.

Noel took a deep breath. "Hey..." She said softly feeling like this was a terrible idea. She didn't many people around here she had moved her for dance and met Micah the day she moved there. "I know you really don't want anything to do with me but my car won't start...I was wondering if you could help me out?" She asked nervously.

"Well I mean why spend all the money on a huge grand wedding when the day is supposed to be about us anyway." He said and looked into her eyes. "And plus we should be saving money for the house we want to buy and the kids we want to have..."

Micah looked at the clock and thought about what she was asking. He was trying to find a way to turn it down, but he knew that he would feel bad for doing something like that. She didn't know very many people here, and Benji and Victoria were probably in their own world planning their wedding. "I'll be there. Just give me like five or so minutes. I need to tell my boss that I will be leaving early." He hung up after asking where she was parked. He grabbed his jacket and slipped out of the recording room. He walked to his bosses office to explain that he had to leave early to help Noel. His boss didn't know that Micah wasn't with Noel anymore.

Victoria looked at him as his words confirmed her theories. "If you are worried about money, we don't have to have a grand house or wedding for that matter," she told him. "Just as long as it's me and you with our family there. You know our parents will rip our hearts out if we just run off and get eloped. Plus, I don't plan on having kids right away. I want you to myself for a bit."

Noel zipped her puffy jacket, she had gained some weight, she was underweight to begin with but you could tell she had gained weight. She got out of her car when she saw him coming up the street. "I'm really sorry I had to call you..." She said softly, avoiding eye contact with him, she didn't want to break down and tell him everything.

Benji just nodded quickly and pulled her into his embrace. "Babe...I may loose my job..." He said getting kind of nervous. "I'm searching frantically for another job...I don't want to ask my dad for a job, I know he would give me one instantly but I'm trying to make it on my own."

Micah looked at her and shrugged. "It's fine," he said, shrugging his shoulder. "I'm always here to help." He was turning to his old knight in shining armor like he almost always did when he was around Noel. He couldn't lie about his feelings about her, but he had his own issues that he needed to work out sometimes. He looked under the hood of her car and saw what he figured would be the cause. "The radiator is frozen. I can give you a ride home and call my mechanic friend. You should think about getting a new car. This is what the fourth time this happened?" He looked at her his brown eyes and noticed she looked slightly different.

Victoria wrapped her arms around him. "Benji, please don't worry yourself crazy. I know that you don't want to work for your dad, but don't let your pride get the best of you," she said, looking at him.

Noel bit her lip, she didn't want to put him, especially since he was no longer her boyfriend. "That's okay, you don't have to drive me, I can take the bus." She said softly and swallowed the lump that had formed in here throat. "Thanks for coming, but it's not your problem..."

Benji sighed. "I know...I just don't want to have to rely on my dad...I want to provide for you, for us." He said and pulled her close. "I just want what's best for us."

"Noel, it's not that bad. I don't mind. Besides, the bus that comes by your place won't be here for another hour or so," Micah said, looking at her. He gave her his most charming smile. "You know for what it's wroth, I'm sorry for everything. You know me. I'm hard-headed and have a huge male ego." He was trying to get her more trusting of him.

Victoria smiled at him. "I know that you do, and I'm thankful for that. There are times that we will have to go to our family for help. I'm not asking that you have to work for your dad forever if you do end up working for him. Just long enough to get enough money that we need," she told him. She kissed him gently.

"Noel, it's not that bad. I don't mind. Besides, the bus that comes by your place won't be here for another hour or so," Micah said, looking at her. He gave her his most charming smile. "You know for what it's wroth, I'm sorry for everything. You know me. I'm hard-headed and have a huge male ego." He was trying to get her more trusting of him.

Victoria smiled at him. "I know that you do, and I'm thankful for that. There are times that we will have to go to our family for help. I'm not asking that you have to work for your dad forever if you do end up working for him. Just long enough to get enough money that we need," she told him. She kissed him gently.

Noel sighed softly and nodded. "Okay...I'll let you drive me home." She said softly, feeling butterflies erupt in her stomach as a glimpse of the old Micah was coming out. "I-I'm sorry too...You know I did love you right? W-well I never stopped..."

Benji nodded. "Yeah I know babe." He said and smiled at her. "Do you want to go for a walk through the park? Maybe get some coffee and just enjoy the nice evening?" He asked and then pecked her on the lips quickly.

Micah smiled and replied. "I will always love you and keep you in a special place in my heart," he told her. He wasn't lying. He did care for her, but he was still not completely sure of his feelings for her. He walked with her back to his car and held the passenger side door for her. He wondered if this was going to just be a friendly thing or if it would lead back to where they would be before

Victoria smiled and nodded. "I would love to," she said. She went over and grabbed her jacket. She put hers on and tossed his to him. She smiled at him widely wondering what was going on outside of their little apartment.
