"If I drown, it's all on you," Katherine said. "Let's meet back up tomorrow around noon. Lunch time. Under the pier. I'll be waiting. And if you see my boyfriend, please just don't do anything that would make him break up with me. I love him, and I don't want to lose him, okay?" She sighed and made sure Gemma got into her house safely before she rushed back to the beach. She slowly descended down into the water and kind of freaked out again when her legs changed to a tail because it was still weird as hell. She was surprised at how clear her vision was in the water and she took a deep breath, her eyes widening when she inhaled water. She started to freak out again, only to find that she wasn't actually drowning. It just felt insanely weird to be breathing in water. She looked down at her wrists, raising an eyebrow when she saw the gills on them. She tried to use them to breathe in the water, and it was a lot better than inhaling the stuff in her mouth.

Gemma sat down on Katherine's bed, looking around her room. It was actually really pretty. She got up, beginning to search for something to wear to sleep in. Gemma wasn't completely stupid when it came to human stuff, she was just stupid on some of the common sense stuff like how to put things on and more then likely what she should eat. Gemma found something to sleep in, putting it on and sighing softly. She really hoped she was going to be able to sleep tonight. She was kind of excited about going and seeing Katherine's boyfriend tomorrow. Gemma was going to try and not do anything to stupid in front of him. Gemma didn't even care what Katherine did in front of Brian, nothing she could do could make that boy break up with her. Seriously, she's tried.

Katherine made her way deeper into the water, stopping when a dolphin swam up to her. She had to assume it was Gemma's, so she climbed onto its back and held on, smiling slightly as he swam her back to a nice kind of city down in the ocean. It was almost exactly what she'd imagined a real Atlantis would look like. It was kind of beautiful. She slid off the dolphin when he stopped, assuming that this was Gemma's house. She swam inside and looked around, smiling slightly. Was this what life would be like if she and Gemma were never separated? Everything was so beautiful and a lot cleaner than she'd imagined. She went upstairs and swam into what she assumed would be Gemma's room, swimming over and sitting on the bed. She reached down and ran her fingers over the scales on her tail, still amazed by the thing. It was so surreal. She eventually laid down and fell asleep, tuckered out from the long day she'd had.

Matt woke up early in the morning and decided to head over to Katherine's house to hang out with her. He knew she would be awake by now, even if it was kind of early. She'd always been an early bird. He rode his bike over to her house since it wasn't too far from his and he didn't want to waste gas, propping the bike against the stairs and walking inside. He walked up to her room and crept inside, surprised when he found her asleep. Oh well, at least he had an opportunity now. They hadn't had sex yet, but they had touched each other and done other things. He climbed onto the bed and went under the covers, tugging her shorts off and spreading her legs. Brian went to Gemma's house first thing the next morning, knowing she was more then likely asleep since she wasn't a morning person at all, but he planned on waking her up. He wanted to talk to her and apologize for freaking out yesterday. He shouldn't have done that. He knew that she was just curious about what was going on up on the surface and Brian should have taken her up there himself, at least she wouldn't have been alone. He would have been able to be up there to protect her. He sighed as he swam through the front door, deciding against going through her window today. He wanted to be on her good side and since the whole window thing didn't set to well with her yesterday, he wasn't going to do it today. Brian thought for a moment, knowing Gemma's parents were working, he decided to fix her breakfast. That would surely get her to forgive him. Gemma was good at keeping grudges sometimes.

Gemma out like a light, her arms up over her head and her mouth hanging open slightly as she slept peacefully. Katherine had the most comfortable bed in the world. Gemma could definitely get used to it. She was having a nice dream when something odd started happening to her body, beginning to wake up. She groaned, her eyes fluttering open as she looked down at the man between her... Legs. Gemma gasped, wondering what he was doing and what this feeling was that she experiencing from the touch. "W-what are you d-doing?" she asked softly, her voice laced thick with sleep. She knew this was Katherine's boyfriend, only because she saw them together on the beach. Did he normally wake her up like this? This sure was an interesting way of being solan up.

Katherine woke up when she heard noise downstairs, her brows furrowing together. She got up and swam downstairs, her eyes widening when she saw someone standing in the kitchen. "Uh, hello?" she asked, biting her lip gently. "Why are you in my house?" She had no idea who this guy was, and he looked too young to be her father. Did they have a brother? No, the guy looked nothing like her and Gemma. "Oh . . . Brian," she muttered under her breath. She swam over to him to get a good look at his face, and it made sense to her why this was Gemma's boyfriend. He was cute.

Matt chuckled and sat up, pulling the covers off his head. "I thought this would be a nice way to wake you up," he said, raising an eyebrow at the confusion on her face. "You act like I've never done this before. I can stop if you want me to." He didn't want to make her uncomfortable or anything. It wasn't like he hadn't woken her up this way before, he was just surprised at how shocked she was acting. He decided he just wouldn't continue, fixing her panties before he laid back down, resting his head on her chest. "I thought maybe we could hang out today. Or were you planning on sleeping in forever?"

Brian smiled when he saw Gemma enter the kitchen, his smile instantly fading when she asked him why he was in her house. "Well jeeze, Gem. I know I pisses you off yesterday and everything but I kinda came to apologize. I mean look, I even made you breakfast," he said, pointing to the seaweed and crab combination thing that she usually liked to eat for breakfast. "But seriously. I'm really sorry about yesterday, Gemma. I didn't mean to freak out on you. I should have taken you up to the surface myself to let you see, at least then you wouldn't have been alone. You just don't understand how dangerous it can be up there for us. At least if I go with you then I can protect you," he said, staring down at his hands. He felt really bad, and she always ended up making him feel like a child that was in major trouble by his parents whenever he pissed her off. He didn't know why but she did.

Gemma was slightly disappointed that he stopped doing whatever it was that he had been doing, the thing he had been messing with was feeling funny and it kind of ached to be touched. But she wasn't going to say anything. She's already embarrassed herself and Katherine enough. "I was just surprised, that's all," she murmured, biting down on her bottom lip. She smiled when he said he though they could spend the day hanging out, nodding. "I stayed up late last night, so that's why I slept longer then usual. I would love to hang out today," she murmured, kissing his forehead softly. She wasn't really sure what kind of things Katherine did to Matt in the kissing and making ouf department, but Gemma was going to go with the flow and do what she usually did with Brian. Maybe also experiment. She should totally put all those romance movie Katherine has to good use and educate herself by watching them.

Katherine frowned slightly, deciding to just let him off the hook, although she had no idea what Gemma would have done. Probably the opposite. She reached out and gently touched his arm. "It's okay, Brian," she murmured. "You were right. Swimming to the surface was really dangerous of me. I should have asked you to come with me first." She pulled her hand away after a minute and let out a breath. She looked at the breakfast and made a slight face. She had never been a big fan of seafood and she didn't think that was going to change just because she was under the sea now. "Thank you for making this for me, Brian. But I'm not really hungry. I ate a lot last night." She leaned up and pressed a light peck to his cheek before she sat atop the counter, waving her tail around and smiling as she watched it.

Matt smiled at her. "I was thinking maybe we could go see a movie," he said. "And then we could head to our spot and sneak a few drinks. If you're up for it." They had found the spot when they were freshman, and they'd instantly claimed it as theirs. Nowadays they went there to just be alone and spend time together, or they went there to have a few drinks or a joint because it was kind of secluded and nobody would be able to find them unless they were looking specifically for them. Or they smelled the weed and Jack. But they hid it well, he thought.

Brian furrowed his eyebrows together, kind of shocked at how easily she forgave him. Was she feeling okay? She usually never forgave him that easily without putting up a fight first. He watched her smile as she watched her tail, reaching up and feeling her forehead. "Are you feeling okay?" He asked with a small, nervous chuckle. It was like she was amazed with her own tail right now. Which he thought was kind of weird. But at the same time this was Gemma after all, she was a weird one. "Never mind. I forgot who I was talking to. Anyways, since you skipped out on me yesterday, I was hoping maybe we could celebrate your birthday today. I mean I did have plans. But god forbid you keep your stay in one place for more then one minute," he said with a shake of his head, crossing his arms over his chest. Brian was kind of excited for his plans. He knew how much she loved exploring sunken ships and finding human treasure, so that's one of the things he really wanted to do with her today.

Gemma smiled big and nodded, really liking the idea. She didn't know what he meant about going to see a movie, or having a few drinks, but it sounded like a lot of fun. "That sounds like fun. Just let me get ready and then we can go," she said, biting down on her lower lip. She couldn't help but notice how gorgeous his eyes were. She's never really seen a pair like them before. Matt was just a gorgeous person over all and Katherine was so lucky to have him. And so far he also seemed like an awesome boyfriend, even if he did have a very odd way if waking someone up. Whatever he did though, it left Gemma wanting more.

Katherine looked up at him and raised an eyebrow. Maybe she wasn't being convincing enough. But she didn't know Gemma at all. What the hell was she like? Maybe she had a little bit more personality whereas Katherine could be kind of bland? Maybe she needed to use her acting skills here. She perked up and smirked slightly, sticking her nose up slightly in the air. "Oh, I don't know," she said. "I guess it depends. Do I get to meet King Neptune?" she joked, looking at him and hoping that King Neptune was a relevant subject down here, or else she'd look like an idiot.

Matt nodded his head and he rolled off of her, fixing the covers he'd fucked up and sitting up in her bed. He leaned back against the headboard and pulled his phone out, playing a game on there while he waited for her to get ready. She'd never cared about him chilling out while she was getting dressed, although she'd always refused to let him see her completely naked until the time came that they were ready to have sex. He thought they were there already, but he had to keep in mind, Katherine could be kind of uptight sometimes, but she could also be chill too. He had to give her the time she needed or he'd never get laid. And he cherished this relationship, he didn't want to lose it because he was too impatient.

Brian raised an eyebrow, wondering if maybe she fried her brain yesterday. "I think you got a little bit too much sun up there," he mumbled, shaking his head and heading for the door. "Let's move it!" he said, going outside and looking around for Bubs. He wanted to take a damn ride on that dolphin. "Where's that Dolphin of yours? Don't tell me you lost it already. That'd be pretty sad," he said, smirking and crossing his arms over his chest. Gemma was forever losing things, she could never keep up with anything. That's why he was seriously shocked as hell when her parents got her a damn dolphin.

Gemma got up off the bed, looking around. She really wasn't sure what she should be doing first, and Matt sitting there wasn't helping her nerves right now either. She sighed, biting down on her bottom lip as she walked over to a set of doors and opened them slowly, smirking when she saw clothes. Okay so maybe she knew what she was doing after all. Gemma picked out a few things that she thought looked interesting, going to the bathroom and putting it on. She went back into the bedroom and started going through Katherine's other things, trying to find stuff to go with it. She thought she was doing a pretty good job for her first time ever wearing clothes. Especially for picking them out herself. She turned to Matt when she was finished, biting her lower lip. "Alright. I'm ready."

Well, that didn't work. Katherine sighed and she put a smile on her face, thinking for a minute before she whistled for the dolphin like Gemma had. She grinned when he showed up and she turned to look at Brian, sticking her tongue out at him. "Get off your high horse," she murmured, climbing onto the dolphin's back. "Come on. I want to go." Maybe she should just act natural. Yeah, in the real world she was kind of bland, but she guessed maybe she could have a bit more personality here and still be herself. Maybe she and Gemma had more in common that she didn't know about. She reached forward and pet Bubs, smiling down at him. She'd always wanted to swim with the dolphins and now her dream was coming true.

Matt stood up and looked over at her, raising an eyebrow. "Well . . . that's different," he mumbled. Katherine typically dressed a bit more conservative than that, but he wasn't complaining. He walked over and smiled as he wrapped his arms around her. His brows furrowed and he ran his hand up her back. "You going commando today?" he asked, not feeling her bra under the shirt like he usually did. "Are you like, rebelling or something? Did your mom piss you off? Did I piss you off?"

Brian chuckled, climbing onto the Dolphine with her, getting pretty excited. He was just excited to be spending some time with her in general. Sometimes Brian got the feeling that Gemma didn't want to be with him anymore, though he wasn't sure why. He was always trying to be the best boyfriend that he could be, always trying to do whatever he could to make her happy and keep her safe. Maybe that just wasn't enough sometimes.

Gemma's eyes widened as she looked up at Matt, shaking her head. "What? Why would I be mad at anyone? And why would me being mad be the reason for me going... Comma do," she said, not even knowing what he meant. Gemma was most definitely going to give Katherine a piece of her mind when she saw her. Being a human was a lot harder then she thought it was going to be. She didn't know how to dress or do her hair, or know what to do with this sudden urge she got in her lower region that made her release liquid to relieve herself. It was all so damn frustratingly confusing.

Katherine smiled as Bubs took off, giggling softly as the water swept through her hair like the wind would on the surface. She looked back at Brian and smiled at him. "Where are we going?" she asked, not sure if there was a certain destination that they were going. She wanted to explore the whole ocean, she wanted to see all the wreckage of ships and other things that she'd only read about in the books. She was so excited now, and she felt a bit more lively under the water. It wasn't what she expected at all.

Matt shook his head. "What is up with you?" he asked, reaching up and feeling her head for any bumps. He shook his head. "You're not wearing a bra, Kat." He walked over to her dresser and pulled a bra out, handing it to her. "You can't go out of the house without a bra on, especially with that shirt. We go to the beach and you get wet, everyone in town will know what your boobs look like." He smiled at her and kissed her forehead. "I'll be downstairs. Hurry up, okay?" He walked out of the room and went downstairs, sitting on the couch and waiting for her.

"We're going to go explore this really amazing ship I recently found," he murmured, biting down on his bottom lip. "It's not that far, but far enough that we need bubs. Besides, there might be some sharks and we'll have to make a getaway," he said with a small chuckle. He and Gemma had run into a few sharks before, which wasn't really thrilling, but she had found it absolutely epic. So now she occasionally goes shark hunting. He hoped she would t want to do that today. "You're not going to want to go shark hunting are you?" He asked with a grimace.

Gemma's eyes widened when Matt flung a bra at her, panicking. She didn't know how to put this on. She couldn't put this on. "Fuck," she groaned, shaking her head. "Is there anything we can do today that doesn't involve me wearing a bra?" She called out from her room, wondering why the fuck humans had to be so damn complicating. Who cares if people saw her tits. They're just body parts. Everyone had the same of something.

Katherine's eyes widened. "Sh-sharks?" she muttered, blinking and letting out a small breath. Her heart started to pound at the idea of sharks. "No. I don't want to see any sharks." She shook her head quickly and grabbed his hand, squeezing it to death in attempt to calm her anxiety. She was sure that sharks were a normal thing for mermaids, but for humans? They were absolutely terrifying. If they ran into sharks, she was sure she would shit herself. Her brows furrowed and she looked down at her tail. Did mermaids shit? Did they piss? They ate, right? It had to go somewhere.

Matt's brows furrowed and he stood up, shaking his head. "I mean, I guess we could stay home and watch movies," he said. "But I figured you'd want to go out somewhere." He walked upstairs and looked at her. He knew she complained about her bra all the time and how it gave her a rash under her boob sometimes, but it was like she didn't know how to put it on or something. He took the bra from her and set it down on the bed. "We can stay in if you want."

Brian's eyes widened when he noticed her completely freak out at the mention of sharks, finding it pretty unusual. "Alright, we'll avoid them at all costs, I promise," he said, kissing her forehead. "Or at least try to," he said as Bubs approached the sunken ship. "Here we are," Brian said excitedly. He couldn't wait to explore the ship. It was in a well hidden area, so he knew no other merpeople have gotten to it. "You can relax, baby, there aren't any sharks around," he said with a small chuckle, giving her hand a light squeeze before prying it from her death grip. He began to swim off towards the ship, trying to find a way inside. He just kind of hoped that he didn't find any human skeletons lying anywhere. That'd probably freak him out more then the sharks.

Gemma frowned, scratching the back of her head. "I'm just... I'm just a little out of it today," she murmured, staring down at her feet. "We can still go to our spot though, can't we?" Gemma asked, even though he mentioned earlier about people seeing her tits without a bra on. She decided to go for the alternative, grabbing a bikini top that reminded her a lot of her seashells that she wore, stripping off her shirt and pulling it on. She grabbed the matching bottoms and put those on too after taking off her shorts. She took off all the makeup that she had on her face, deciding she just looked ridiculous and put her hair up in a messy bun. She didn't even care that Matt was in the room, though she probably should have. Gemma didn't even know if Matt had seen Katherine naked yet or not. Oh well, he was about to see Gemma in all her glory now. Well, Katherine. Whatever.

Katherine bit her lip gently, sliding off Bubs and swimming after Brian. She caught up with him and looked around. She swam to the front end of the ship, smirking as she pulled the door open, swimming inside. "Brian!" she called. "Over here!" She swam inside, moving some debris around. She could only imagine how beautiful this ship had been when it was in the water, considering how beautiful it was now, sunken on the ocean floor. She giggled softly as some fish swam around her tail, and she reached down, scooping a little clown fish into the palm of her hand. "I'm calling you Nemo," she murmured.

Matt bit his lip as he watched her undress, feeling wrong about it. She hadn't wanted to see him naked until she was ready to have sex. It was abnormal of her to change in front of him and he felt a bit uncomfortable. He scratched his neck and looked down. "Uh, sure, if you want," he said. He looked back up at her and blinked. "Are you sure you're feeling okay, Kat?" he asked, reaching up and feeling her forehead to make sure she didn't have a fever or something.

Brian heard Katherine call for him, following the sound of her voice and into the ship. He chuckled softly as he saw some fish swim around her tail, shaking his head. He found it unusual that she wasn't telling them all to fuck off or something. "Nemo? That's an interesting name," he said, beginning to dig through some stuff. Brian raised an eyebrow as he found a bunch of clothes, wondering why humans wore this shit back then. It was so butt ugly, how did anyone ever get laid. "I'll never understand humans," he murmured, shaking his head.

Gemma raised an eyebrow, wondering what was wrong with him. Was he embarrassed by seeing her naked? She hadn't been on the surface for even a day and she was already fucking it all up. She giggled when he kept asking her if she was feeling okay, checking to see if she had a fever. She swatted his hand away, shaking her head. "I'm fine, Matthew. Calm yourself," she said, walking up and wrapping her arms around his middle, hugging him tightly. He was freaking out over seeing her naked for nothing. He was just between her legs, waking her up in the most inappropriate way ever this morning.

Katherine frowned. "Hey," she hissed. "Humans are beautiful creatures. And we happen to be very-" She stopped and bit her lip hard, her eyes wide. "Um, they happen to be very smart. I, uh, watched them, on the surface, you know." She scratched her head and offered him a slightly smile before she swam away, hoping he didn't ask questions. She really needed to watch what she said around him, but she couldn't help but get defensive and think about Matt when he said that.

Matt made a face. "Never call me that again," he said, grabbing her hands and leading her downstairs. He turned the TV on and sat down on the couch, pulling her down next to him. "What movies do you want to watch?" he asked, knowing that she liked a wide variety of genres, so she always liked to watch different things. He didn't mind as long as it wasn't some sappy teen romance, like fucking Twilight or something.

Brian raised an eyebrow at Katherine, shaking his head. "Yeah, and you're not supposed to be going up and watching them on the surface either," he said, giving her a pointed look. To be honest, he had no idea how long she had been going up to the surface by herself and watching the humans. It's not like he had anything against them, he just found their lifestyle choices kind of weird. Brian pushed a broken door out of the way, going into what would probably be the captain's quarters. He started looking around, raising an eyebrow at some funny looking thing. He picked it up, pulling at the end of it and watching it extend. He raised it, putting his eye up to the little hole and looking through it. "Holy shit," he said, kind of startled at how everything looked so close to him now.

Gemma tilted her head to the side, not really sure what they should watch, so she got up and walked over to the collection of movies. She started looking through them, raising an eyebrow when she came across something that said The Little Mermaid. She kind of wondered what the humans thought of mermaids. Gemma stood up with the movie in her hand, handing it to Matt. "I wanna watch this one," she said excitedly. She just hoped that Matt would want to watch it too. he didn't really seem like the type for a mermaid movie.
