Sm got the room keys from the guy behind the desk and joined his brother outside of the girl's room. He held out the keys for his brother to take. "We're fourteen," he informed him as he put his hands into the pocket. Hopefully the girls weren't lying about the room number. That'd kinda suck a lot, but Sam was sure that him and Dean would be able to handle the werewolf on their own. It'd just be a lot easier if the girls on the phone hadn't lied and they did have some more brain power.
"I'll get it," Kara said, standing up. She had a gun in the back of her jeans, and kept her hand on it, just in case, as she walked to the door and opened it up. Two pretty tall, (and true to what she'd heard) attractive guys were standing there. "Winchester one and two?" Kara asked, looking at them expectantly, raising her eyebrows. She kinda stepped out of the way so they'd walk into the crappy motel room, giving them a small crack of a smile.

Dean glanced over as Sam approached, taking the key from him. "Perfect," he said, liking that they were close to the girls. It would help with making sure that they were there if needed. He looked to the door, a grin slipping onto his lips when he saw the attractive woman that was standing before him. "I'm Dean, this is Sam," he said, stepping into the room. He glanced over to the girl on the bed for a second before looking back to the woman beside him. "Kara? Or Alex?"
Alex moved to sit up, her gaze focused solely on the door. Her eyes lit up when she saw them, noticing just how attractive they were. "Dean, that's it!" She murmured, smirking over to Kara. They'd been close. She looked over the brothers, pausing on the taller of the two for just a second before looking back down to her laptop. "I'm Alex, that's Kara," she replied, flicking the safety 'on' on her gun before she reached over, laying it on the small nightstand before looking to the two men.

Kara exchanged a look with Alex when he said his name was Dean, then looked back up to Dean with a 'yup thats me' kinda expression. "So... Yeah. This is the room," Kara said, waving a hand around the room. She shut the door behind the two guys, then moved back to her original seat on one of the two chairs by the table. "Is you dad really missing?" Kara asked, looking over to the two guys. She wasn't sure which one she was talking to on the phone, so she just looked between the pair of them. "Or was that just a way to see what was what?"
Sam lifted his hand and gave a little wave when Dean introduced him, looking from the girl who had opened the door to the one on the bed, now looking at her laptop. His eyes stayed on her longer than they should of, and his attention turned back to Kara when she spoke. "Yeah, he is, but he's okay, as far as I know. He's just not wanting to be found," Sam explained shortly. "But it was just a way to see what was what."

Dean kept quiet as Sam spoke about their dad, figuring it was just easier to let him explain. Not that there was really much to tell. Dad was gone and didn't want them to find him. It happened. He looked over Kara briefly, trying to be discrete about it. She really was a looker. "So did you two manage to find anything yet on werewolves?" He asked. It would be easier if they were all on the same page right from the start. "It's going to be a pain in the ass trying to figure this one out."
Alex kept an ear out for what Sam was saying, taking everything in even though she pretended to be engrossed with her laptop. She didn't really like it, though, considering that that's practically what she did to her own family. "You mean other than the fifteen million articles on them? Not really. Only thing I've really found is that there are either bitten werewolves, or purebloods."

"Yeah, we're about as far as you," Sam said, leaning against the wall. "We're probably going to have to go talk to some people around town. Find out some more stuff." They'd have to fake relatives or FBI people or something like that. It was a good way to get information, and with four of them, things would get moving a lot faster. "Have you guys spoken to the police?"
"Not yet, no," Kara said, shaking her head. She could tell the shorter of the two guys was looking at her, but at that moment she didn't really care. "We just figured out it was a werewolf before you called. We didn't get here that long ago." If they were going to go out and interrogate other people, Kara wanted either herself or Alex to go with them. She didn't want them to find stuff out and just not pass it on.

Dean looked away from his checking out of Kara, instead choosing to focus on the conversation at hand. "We can talk to the cops tomorrow. Although they might not really think anything of it. It'd be a weird pattern for them to pick up on," he said. "So how exactly are we supposed to figure out who the werewolf is before they turn? Isn't that kind of impossible?"
Alex jerked her head up when he mentioned the police. "Kara can talk to the cops," she said, shooting her a quick grin before looking back down to the laptop. Most of the cops annoyed her, being placating idiots instead of actually helping them. "We'll probably just have to get as much information as possible and then use someone as bait on the full moon," she murmured, focusing more on an article than the actual conversation.

"Just go drive around, I'm sure you'll see someone half furry and attacking everyone else. I'll give you five dollars to follow them until they're normal and bam, you got your werewolf," she gave Dean a small grin and a nod before running her hand over her face. "I have no clue if it's possible or not, but we gotta start somewhere. I know where the attack happened if you want to go take a look."
Sam let out a small chuckle when Kara told Dean she'd pay him five bucks to tail a werewolf. At least she wouldn't be taking any of his shit if it came to that. "Do you two want to do that, then?" Sam asked, looking between Dean and Kara. "I can stay here with Alex and do some research. I haven't done any yet besides read dad's journal." He looked over to Alex, smiling slightly. "If you don't mind, Alex."

"Make it ten and you've got a deal," Dean replied easily, grinning over at her. He liked her. Not in the whole romantic type of way, but in the way when you just know about a person. There was just something about her that he liked. It was probably how quick witted she was. "That sounds good to me. You want to take my car? It's parked right out front, and it'd be fast."
Alex glanced up from her laptop, shooting Sam a tight smile. "Doesn't matter to me," she said, giving a shrug of her shoulders. She wouldn't mind if he stayed. Okay, that was a lie. She would mind. It wasn't that he didn't seem nice or anything, but he was probably like every other hunter they'd worked with - a pain in the ass. "Just try not to get picked up by the cops. They probably have a guy or two stationed at the site, still."

"I think we will manage, Lex," Kara said, nodding at her. She grabbed a phone and wiggled it in the air, to show Kara which one she was taking along with her. "Yeah, Mr Fast Car, you can drive." Kara wasn't a huge fan of driving anyways. Alex always had the keys, so it was less work for her if she just hitched a ride with Dean. She headed back for the door, opening it up and stepping outside. She wasn't sure which car was Dean's, but she was sure she would soon find out. She looked around the parking lot, really hoping it wasn't the one with the bright purple door.
Sam looked over to the table where Kara had been sitting, where books were piled. He walked over to the chair and sat down, pulling a book towards him and opening it up. It looked pretty legit, not just written by some sci-fi/horror fan who wanted to reinvent all of the mythology. He didn't make a sound as he started to read, quickly making his way down the page.

Dean grinned when Kara spoke, his pride for the Impala showing. He stepped out of the door and into the fresh air, leading her over to the car. "This is my baby," he said, thumping on the top of the car lovingly before he slipped in. He leaned over, unlocking the passenger door for her before settling back into his seat. "So where is this place anyways? In the middle of the woods or something?" He asked, figuring that would make the most sense for an attack to take place.
Alex looked up, nodding her head when she saw which phone Kara had grabbed. She waited until they'd left the room to look over to Sam, her gaze slipping over him slowly now that no one could see her stare. She could see where the gossip came from. The man was nice to look at. She looked down at her laptop, clicking another link absentmindedly. "That one's good for the history, but I'm not quite sure if there's anything that could help," she offered, having read that title before.

"It's just a house, it's in the middle of a neighborhood. It backs onto a field, that backs onto a forest, but it's not that far away," Kara explained once she got into the car. She closed the door behind her and did up her belt. "You're gonna wanna hang a left out of the parking lot and drive for a little while. It's a few miles down the road." The news report she read never specified if the 'animal' had gotten in from the field. It never even mentioned the field. It just mentioned the dead family from the 'animal' attack. It'd probably make sense if it came from the field, though. "It wasn't one of the people who lived there, that's all the news reports really help us with. All four people living there died."
Sam looked over to Alex when she spoke, then back down at the book. "D'you got any that you think are more useful? Dean's got my computer in the car." In hindsight, Sam should have taken his computer into the room with him, and not have given Dean the room key if he was going to just take off. He gave his head a little shake as he realized he dropped the ball a little, but looked over to Alex with a smile anyways.

Dean nodded his head, making a face when she said that it was in the middle of a neighborhood. Of course it was. "So it's going to be a pain in the ass getting by the neighbors, then?" He questioned, glancing over to her as he pulled out of the spot. He followed her instructions, shifting gears as he pulled out onto the main road. "So what're you thinking, it lost control and just wandered into the home? It might be a family friend, or something. Could've been drawn there."
Alex looked over to him for a second, lingering for just a beat too long before she looked over to the pile of books. "That one on the corner? That's about to fall off? I haven't gotten to that one yet. Or you could help me go through sites. We'd have to share my laptop, though," she said, giving a shrug of her shoulders. She typed in a phrase into the search bar before looking over to him, catching the smile. She offered him a small, wary one of her own, shifting slightly on the bed.

"No clue. I haven't seen the house except for the drive by me and Alex did. The front looked okay. The back might have signs of forced entry. If it doesn't, it'd have to be a friend of the family... Or a very calm and collected werewolf," Kara said, leaning her elbow on the edge of the door where it met the window, and leaning her head on her hand. "It's gonna suck if its a family friend. It's gonna suck regardless but... That's gotta be eating the person up if they knew them."
Sam grabbed the book she indicated, putting the other one down. He scratched the back of his neck, standing up. He walked over to the bed and sat down beside her, leaning against the headboard. He opened up his book, giving her a smile. "Show me if you find anything interesting, okay?" he requested, looking to the book. It'd be easier to ask for validation to the truth behind facts if they were beside each other. And hey, she'd offered to share the laptop, so she couldn't be super opposed to him being on the bed with her.

"Since it's in a neighborhood, we'll probably have to park a good bit aways and sneak in through the back," Dean suggested, figuring that that's how they did it. That's how he and Sam usually ended up doing it. "There's probably going to be signs of a forced entry. I'm pretty sure that a werewolf couldn't just waltz into a home without leaving some sort of mark on the door. "Would they knew if they did it, though? I mean, if they can't control it, could they even remember changing?"
Alex watched as he grabbed the book, looking back down to her laptop when she figured that that would be the end of it. But then she felt the bed dip as he sat down beside her and she froze. What did he think that he was doing. "Um, yeah. Sure," she mumbled, furrowing her brow before she looked back to the screen. She tried to read, but she found it hard when he was right there beside her.

"If they didn't actually remember doing it, they might have seen it on the news and assumed," Kara shrugged. "If you started to get fucked up, then blacked out and woke up naked and scratched up, then found your brother dead, what would you think? I know I'd start to think something was wrong with me." She wasn't really sure how it all worked. She'd read that they're totally aware the whole time, just unable to do anything. She'd read that they were aware they were changing but woke up not knowing that it happened. She'd also read they didn't know anything was happening at all. It was all so jumbled.
"This whole werewolf thing really sucks," Sam said about ten minutes later. "Everything in this book contradicts the little things my dad had said about werewolves. No one knows what they're talking about. We gotta find someone who's killed one before or we're completely screwed. Or just collect everything known to kill them and go in ready for anything." Either way, it wasn't going to be pretty.

"That'd be pretty bad," Dean murmured, keeping his gaze on the dark road in front of them. "Well, if it was a family friend, then they might live around the neighborhood, right? If there's woods behind the houses, then maybe that'd be the perfect place for them to go. They might be easier to find than we thought," he said, hoping that that was the case. He really had no idea, though. Werewolves were still pretty new territory for them. He really didn't know what to expect. And that worried him.
Alex jerked her head up when he spoke, jumping a little. She'd almost forgotten that he was there. She quirked a brow as she looked over, watching him as he spoke. "What'd your dad say about werewolves?" She asked, turning her body so she could face him. "Whatever he said might be able to clear up some stuff. Or maybe there's someone that you could call to ask?"

"Right at these lights then left at the next," Kara said, pointing ahead before responding to what Dean had said. "If you start thinking they're easy, we're going to get fucked over royally. You know this isn't going to be something easy like a ghost. There's no bones to burn with this kinda stuff. We're probably going to end up killing a person." If they were a person when they found them and had to kill them, Kara wasn't going to do it. It would be to hard for her.
"He said they're like vampires, like a stake in holy water and all that crap would do it," Sam said, scrunching up his face as he tried to think of what it was. "He said they were really strong, but that seems to hold up with this book. What they look like when they're changed is different from him to his though. That's all he really covered. 'Very dangerous' was in big letters beside 'werewolf', but I think we could have figured that out."

[i can't remember if i hit reply on the other one. Facepalm]

"Got it," Dean replied, slowing down as he approached the red light. He only had to wait a second before it turned green. "I know, I know. It's going to be brutal. You don't have to remind me," he muttered, frowning to himself. He didn't like this. Demons, you could exorcise and save the person. Werewolves, though... He didn't know what they were getting into, and that made him nervous. Hell, he was borderline terrified at the thought of having to kill a person.
"So then why aren't we dipping stakes in holy water? It's the only definite thing that we've got going for us," Alex said, frowning a little. "But how would we get close enough to really stake them? I mean, wouldn't they be able to overpower us pretty fast?" She ran a hand through her hair, tugging at the ends. It was a nervous habit of hers. She didn't like this. They were going in blind. Someone could get hurt.

    [you did, don't worry]

Kara kept quiet for a little while, pursing her lips. This was going to be shitty. "So...You the big brother or the baby?" Kara asked, turning to look at Dean. She didn't want to think about killing people any more, so she decided she'd just ask Dean about himself for a distraction. It wasn't much of one, but until they got to the house, it would have to work.
"Exactly," Sam replied. "Do you happen to have a stake firing crossbow around anywhere?" A small smile tugged at his lips as he looked from Alex back to his book. "I'm going to keep reading, see if there another way to do it. If, say, holy water coated silver bullets will do it, I'd much prefer that option than getting up close and personal with a werewolf."

Dean tapped his fingers against the steering wheel, glancing over to her when she asked that. "Older brother, surprisingly. Sam's like a sasquatch," he said, instantly going for the joke even though Sam wasn't there to hear him. It was more habit than anything else at this point. "Kid's been taller than me for years. I'm still not used to it. What about you, who's the older sister?" He asked, assuming that they were related.
Alex let out a low chuckle, shaking her head slightly as she watched him. "We're probably going to have get up close and personal to kill the thing," she murmured, pursing her lips in annoyance. "If it's anything coated in holy water, that just made our jobs so much easier." She looked back down to her laptop, glancing over the article before sneaking another glance at Sam.
