The girl stopped irritatedly, her hands up. "I wouldn't have to if you'd take one, yourself."

He watched her through the window in the door, noting that she was in such awe of the food that she waited a while to eat it.

He muttered something about "asshole women" and something about PMS, leading her in the direction of the nursing station. It'd be a more comfortable place than a cell.

She pursed her lips, pushing around the food, rearranging it in an attempt to stall the nausea that'd come with wolfing her first real meal in days down.

She shoveled food into her mouth with her uninjured arm, albeit not delicately.

Jasmin lifted her head, coming to the startling realization she was being watched. After being isolated in the forest for so long, it raised alertness.

She looked around like a trapped animal, eyes widening, visibly beginning to fall into hysterics.

"Hey, asswad, why don't you treat your guest nicely? Your fucking ignorant-ass misogyny is why you ain't gotta girlfriend in the first place." The man who had driven her there called.

"Excuse me?" The man sneered, hand falling to his holstered gun.

"Shoot me and you'll be cast outta here for good. I'm comin' with to make sure you don't fuck with her." He fired back.

The man decidedly stepped away from the window and stopped watching, fearing he'd sent her into hysterics by lingering too long on her figure. He waited for any type of sounds from the room, knowing if she was going to blow, she'd make it known.

Aspen wrinkled her nose at the thought of the two men shooting at each other for her, not exactly attracted to the idea of being protected by the enemy. She strolled into the nurse station as she'd been directed and waited, arms crossed over her chest.

'You're safe,' She coaxed herself into repeating it over and over in her mind as she pulled apart her food to slow her eating. After she'd finished, she stood, wandering to the door. She pressed her nose to it, leaving a print.
