Holly smiled, "Well first i was planning on making you some breakfast." She said as she kissed his cheek. "I could have let you sleep longer, but this is more fun." She said as she buried her face in the crook of his neck.

Taven smiled as he walked with her til they got to her house. He walked up with her and frowned when he saw that her cat was acting weird. Taven shook his head when he realized it was sick and that he was the last one to touch it. He watched Kenzie for a moment, "Kenzie." HE whispered, knowing she would know what he meant.

Ares felt Holly burying her face in his neck. "Breakfast sounds good," he said. "Start cooking, please." He smiled lightly. He liked the feel of her close.

Kenzie stared at the cat cautiously. She really didn't know what to think. Her first thought was the vet, but it was kind of late for that. She looked at Taven. There had be a way to reverse it. Then she remembered how the food tasted fresher when she was happy in the diner. She even said something about it.

Holly smiled and got out of the bed. She walked to the kitchen and started to make Ares his favorite food.

Taven really didn't know what to do, "I'm sorry Kenzie." He said shaking his head. He hated that he had hurt something so important to her.

Ares got up aand walked into the kitchen to watch her cook. He already knew she would make his favorite since she always did on her birthday. "Smells wonderful," he said.

Kenzie looked at him. She wasn't mad at him because she knew he couldn't control it. She couldn't control the rotting food in the kitchen. The only thing she needed at that moment was comfort. She wrapped her arms around Taven and held onto him. "I don't blame you," she muttered into his chest. If she wasn't going through what she was, she probably would have. She knew that she didn't know how to handle her own powers.

Holly bit her bottom lip lightly as she made his breakfast. She put his food on the plate and gave it to him. "I hope you like it." She said. She got her own food then sat down at the table with him.

Taven held onto her, "No please don't say it's okay. I just made the one thing you really love get sick." He said as he rubbed her back. He pulled away, "I'm really sorry." He said.

Ares looked at her. "You know I will," he said before taking a bite. "I love it." He continued to eat the food.

"I know you are," Kenzie said looking up at him. "This is terrible, but I can't blame you for something you can't control. Taven, I can't even control mine, and I don't expect you to either."

Holly smiled and was glad that he liked them. She bit her bottom lip lightly when his brother walked out with his bags. She looked at Ares, hoping his anger wouldn't flare up again. He had been getting angry every time his brother was around.

Taven shook his head, "Kenzie i would feel better if you weren't so understanding right now." He whispered. He knew she was upset, "I will get you a new cat okay?" He assure her.

Ares looked over to see his brother. He took a deep breath and hoped for the best. His anger and been flaring between him and his brother and he hoped for it to stop. "Leaving today?" he asked and his brother nodded.

Kenzie sighed. "I know that I should probably blame you and get angry. Yell at you and tell you that I can't believe you did this. But, Taven, right now you are the only thing that's keeping me from just breaking down about this insane mess that we are in. So just be quiet and just hold me for a little bit. We will worry about another cat later, alright? Please?" she said looking at him.

Holly laced her fingers with Ares as his brother spoke to him. She wanted him to stay calm through this.

Taven wrapped his arms around her and buried his face in her hair. "I'm sorry."He whispered. He really felt awful for hurting the only person who actually cared about him for once.

Ares listened to Mitch as he told me that their uncle was coming to pick him up in a few hours. "I just don't want to do it while Mom is home. You know of how she is. She'll just cause a scene," Mitch said.

"Yeah, she just wants you safe," Ares said, looking at him. He understood completely why he was doing this now.

Kenzie held him close. She knew that he felt bad for doing this, and she understood that he couldn't control it. The spark of energy flowed between them, and it made her somewhat calmer. Their was something about this contact that she liked. She kept her face buried in his neck.

Holly smiled as she listened to the two of them talk. She was glad that they were finally being civil. She smiled and rested her head on his shoulder. Holly heard a knock at the door and watched as Mitch went to go get it.

Taven relaxed as he relaxed with her and sighed. "I'm glad that i have you." He whispered. He kissed her forehead and smiled. Taven let his hands run down her sides and rest on her hips.

Ares looked over at Holly as he heard his uncle walk into the house. His deep raspy voice echoed through the house. "This wasn't the plan for today was it?" he muttered.

Kenzie smiled at him. "I can say the same about you," she said. Her eyes searched his face, trying to see if he wasn't as guilty. "We will get through this, and we will help each other."

Holly shook her head, "No it wasn't. I'm sorry." She said. She kissed him softly then pulled away when she heard them coming.

Taven nodded, "Yea we will." He said as he laced hsi fingers with hers. He was glad that she didn't hate him for doing something like this.

Ares looked over at his uncle. "There's the birthday boy," his uncle said. "Gotten anything good yet?"

Ares waved his hand to the empty plate that he had finished. "Holly made me a wonderful breakfast," he replied.

Kenzie smiled up at him. She held his hand and was curious about this. "You know, I'm really glad that I have you around. It's nice to have a person in this house that actually listens to me besides my uncle," she muttered.

Holly smiled at his uncle then looked over at Ares. "Oh and this." She said as she handed him a box. She smiled as he opened it and revealed the tickets to his favorite bands concert. "And it just so happens that it is tonight." She said pointing to the date.

Taven smiled, "well I personally like hearing everything you have to say." He said as he held her hands. He kissed her forehead and smiled.

Ares smiled brightly. "You got me concert tickets?" He asked and nearly tackled her to the ground in a hug. He couldn't hold in his excitement. "You are a great friend."

Kenzie smiled up at him. "You are really sweet," she said. "I hope that everything goes well when we find the people." She couldn't help but worry a little bit.

Holly giggled as he hugged her then hugged him back. "I know I am." She said as she slowly let go of him. She smiled and looked over at his uncle.

Taven smiled, "Me too." He said as he ran his fingers through her hair. "Things will work out." He said.

Ares looked at his uncle who looked like he was about to laugh. "You're still the same energetic child," he said.

"I'm an adult for your information, " Ares shot back with a warm smile. He smiled at his uncle and looked over at his brother who was walking back into the room

Kenzie smiled feeling his fingers in her hair. She liked it when people played with her hair. "Because we won't let it go any other way, right?" She said cheesily.

Holly smile and shook her head, "He thinks he's an adult." She said. She felt his brother slightly glaring at them.
