Dale nodded, looking up a bit. "I guess we will see soon enough. Lead the way." he said as he motioned her to walk ahead of him.
Dale tried to remain calm as the walked trying to remember the tips her family had provided him while they were helping him learn before he had left for the Academy.
After a long sigh he realized they were at the gym. "So where do we start?"

Kahi smiled, "I can take on the form of any feline I want." She walked into the gym, turning and glancing up at him, "You name it, I can transform into it. It made my tribe a bit... nervous to have me around. Anytime livestock disappeared I was blamed, even if I didn't do it."

Itzal blinked at her, "Well, you're a chipper lass, aren't you?" he shook his head, "Tell ya what, you find another sparring partner and be chipper with them. If you didn't catch on earlier, I'm standing here - away from others - because I don't want to interact with people."

Gracie looked at now nervous he was and put her hand on his shoulder. "Hey I know you're nervous and all. But if you don't do horrible then I'll take you out and we can get something to eat. Just don't hold back, that's all I can say." she told him in an attempt to give him a few words of encouragement. "For now though," she began while turning around to grab a set of armor from a shelf. "Armor up, you'll need it."


Anne Davis
Anne pouted for a minute. This guy was so mean! She looked at him for a moment wondering why he wouldn't spar with her. "Please?" She asked with big puppy dog eyes, the kind where your heart had to be made out of stone to turn down. "If you spar with me I'll buy you whatever you want from the smoothie shack." she told him in an attempt to bribe him as well.

Itzal's eyes narrowed, "What is it you're trying to do? Why do you want to spar with me?" He asked, shaking his head as he stood up to his full height, "Most tend to find others to spar with, so why are you insisting on sparing with me?"

Dale nodded as he turned around to look at the armor; frowning he wasn't sure what would be fitting for his power. Sighing he grabbed a metal breastplate and a helmet; turning around slowly he took in a deep breath. "Alright, I guess I'm ready." Dale said as he looked to Gracie.

Blake Anderson

Blake ventured out of his room and made his way down to the entrance of the dorm building. He passed by a few people, ignoring them completely to get outside. Once there he moved to sit on a step leading to the entrance and he took out a pack of cigarettes that he had managed to sneak passed his dad. He contemplated having one then and there but decided against it, they'd be his only ones for the rest of the semester so he needed to be careful with them. With a sigh he put them away, already annoyed with being here.

Lainey Lillis
Lainey watched the boy with curiosity. He was not exactly what she expected in any human being and it was very interesting to her or he was very interesting. "That is Sunburst and this is Spirit. And I am Lainey." She said unable to help but burst into a fit of laughter when the boy fell. "I'm so sorry." She managed to say between laughs. She managed to calm down long enough to breath properly.
"Sorry about that. She's just a playful heart." She said as the little creature climbed down the tree jumping off when she was close enough to pounce at Spirit knocking them both off of Lainey's lap. She couldn't help but laugh as the two played next to her. She loved her little babies they were just amazing and so much more accepting than people. She looked back at the that fascinated her with his curiosity. Most people got terrified of her and her babies it was just surprising to her to see someone with so much wonder of no fear.


Kamdon Hoffman
"Not really. I sort of killed the book while I was reading it." Kamdon said with a chuckle as he grabbed one of the basketballs. "She's a bitch but she was right not going to tell anyone else that and if you do I'll make you vanish too." He teased as he took a shot at the basket though he missed it horribly.

Mia Sinclair

Mia rolled her eyes at Kamdon's teasing threat, "disappearing doesn't sound so bad," she joked half-heartedly, "Nonetheless my lips are sealed, though I agree with you," she stated, watching Kamdon take a shot then laugh when he missed. Mia didn't play much sport, she had a bad habit of disintegrating anything that flew at her,.

Kamdon shrugged brushing off the missed shot not that he expected to make it anyways. "Let's get out of here before she comes back." He said with a sneaky smirk before heading out of the gym looking back to see if Mia was going to follow him.

Mia Sinclair

Mia nodded her head and followed after Kamdon, she hummed softly to herself before her eyes lit up and she turned to Kamdon, "what classes do you have this term?" she could almost smack herself for not asking him earlier. She hoped they'd have at least one class together but anything is possible when it comes to this academy. Mia glanced around, waving occasionally at some others but otherwise focusing her attention on Kamdon.

Ash smiled, and said," That's actually really cool! I'd die to be some form of shapeshifter. You could disappear practically anytime you want, by just fitting in with the scenery. Me? Well, I mean I can go through a wall or ceiling, but it won't help me if I'm warn out. I can't risk flying through things if I'm tired. If I get stuck in something, my body has the possibility of completely dispersing, and I would be destroyed on impact. Which, probably wouldn't be a very good thing." He then looked around, and spotted a bunch of other students sitting up on the bleachers to the side of the room, with some teachers pacing the gym floor in front of them. He motioned towards the bleachers, and asked," Care to sit with me?"

Kahi glanced around the gym. Her normal instincts told her to find a place that was quiet and didn't have people... but she found herself sending Ashton a small smile to him instead, "Sure," She said softly, "And the thought of being stuck in a wall ruffles my fur," She said softly, "Going through walls sounds good, but now that you mention the pit falls I think I'm going to stick with my power." She walked with him to the bleachers, sitting down as she looked at all the students, "I can't believe how many people are here. I always thought I was one of a few."

Ash chuckled at the pun she used about the ruffling of the fur, and then said," Well, I know how you feel, but there are like seven or eight billion people on the Earth, so I assumed that there might have been a few more- but I didn't nearly expect this many either." He chuckled, and then began to coming up the bleachers to the top, near the corner. Then, the teachers began calling out that this morning there would be a test of their powers. You would have to go up, one by one, and demonstrate your power for the teachers to get a benchmark for you at the beginning of a the year.

Kahi frowned at the announcement, "A test? What are they going to do, have us fight each other?" She shook her head, "There's too many different powers here... some that will cancel others out. It wouldn't be a fair fight at all." She turned to him, "Like if we fought. Sure, you can change your molecular structure... but the chance that my cat eats you is still pretty high." She made it sound like a fact, but she found she was really just teasing him.

"There will be no fighting. Yet," one of the other teachers interjected, calming their nerves. Although Ash still chuckled and leaned over, saying," Yeah right. You'd either break your teeth, or bite through air." He smiled teasingly at her, before the teachers continued," You will just need to do something- anything- to demonstrate your power."

Kahi turned to Ash, rolling her eyes, "Please. My felines are too smart for you. With their speed and cunning you wouldn't be able to change fast enough." She smiled, "But it's cute that you think you'd win." She teased, turning her gaze back to the teachers. Students had begun lining up, "My leopard could take you, no problem. And she isn't even my biggest cat."

Knaves winced a little as he hit the ground. "Owww. Owww." he said in pain as he tried to get his breathing back in order after getting the wind knocked out of him. He looked over at the two little creatures playing and smiled a little, they were adorable. Knaves flipped over on his stomach and crawled towards Lainey. "Name's Knaves, ow," he grunted out, that fall was still hurting. "Nice to meet you and your pets."

Lucy Carolina was zipping around the courtyard. The day was beautiful and she couldn't take in all of the beautiful things that were around her. She noticed someone coming out of the dorms that she had not met before. She zipped towards him but left a good little space between the two of them. She crouched down and looked at him, analyzing him a little.

“Alright.” Gracie told him as she finished armoring up. She got into her fighting stance and sighed. She really didn’t want to unleash an earthquake on this kid, it might scare him away. But she would fight on equal terms with him. “Hit me with your best shot.”

Anne couldn’t believe this guy. “I’ve sparred other people, but I’ve never sparred with you. So I want to expand my limits.” she told him following a look of haughty derision. “What are you scared of getting beat by a girl?"

Dale closed his eyes taking another deep breath, for he was not used to fighting with anyone using his powers and really didn't want to hurt Gracie.
Deciding to do something simple he let the water surge through his hand and around her lower half before he froze the water around her so her lower waist would be engulfed in ice.

Gracie frowned for a minute as the lower half became immobile and really cold. Looking down she noticed that she covered in ice. Okay, ice interesting. But is that all he has? she pondered for a moment before looking up at him with a sheepish grin. "Okay not bad for your first move. My turn now." she told him as two white orbs wrapped around her hands. Slamming the orbs into the ice the ice broke apart, causing her to move freely. "Alright then, let me show you why they call me Quake." she told him as she fired up an orb around her left hand and slammed her fist into the ground. For a moment all was still, the the ground started to churn and rumble. Soon the floor began to splinter and break. Gracie was glad she could cut loose in the sparring rooms because the rooms automatically rebuilt themselves so you could beat them up as much as you wanted and they would be fine.

Dale stumbled a bit, startled. As he recovered he placed water under his feet to absorb the vibration and to stable him from the splintering crack that Gracie had just created that went right under him.
Dale nodded to her as he tried to think of a way he may be able to attack her without doing the obvious and hurting her very badly.
Sighing he decided to freeze the body's natural water, but only in her hands for he wanted to end the fight before he did something he didn't mean to do.
Reaching out his hand he sensed the water flowing in her hands as he began to freeze them.
