Amelia sighed, before she turned around. "I didn't want to be a bother. I figured you would have Claire here trying to win back her heart." she replied trying not to let it show how much hate she had for Claire. "I remember how it was when you two were together, I never even saw you. So you know I'm trying to give you that space again in hopes that you will get to be with Claire so you will be happy again." Amelia said as she watched him walk up to her and stop when he was right in front of her.

"Actually, I was going to ask you to come inside and maybe have a drink with me. I had a very bad afternoon which I really want to talk about..." He frowned deeply as he said this, and couldn't really look at her. After a moment of silence, he finally looked back up at her, his eyes flashing in the sun, and said," Please?"

Amelia looked at him, concern written on her face. Looking back at her car she sighed as she locked the doors. "Okay." she said softly as she walked towards him. "But only for a little while." Amelia stated before she waited for him to show her inside. Hoping that she was not the reason for his bad day.

Haythem smiled at her, and then turned, leading her to the old house. He reached the large door, and pulled it open and held it there before gesturing for Amelia to go in. Once she did, he followed her, and pulled the door shut behind himself. He then stepped ahead of her, and led her into the small living room. In the corner, there was a small liquor cabinet that Haythem walked over too, and pulled out a bottle of scotch that was half-empty already. He looked over his shoulder, and asked," Do you want anything?" as he was pouring the scotch into a glass for himself.

"No, I'm fine thank you. Is everything alright Haythem? What happened?" Amelia asked as she looked from the half empty bottle back to him. "Please tell me. I don't like seeing you like this." she said as she walked over to him and took his hand giving it a tight squeeze.

Haythem raised an eyebrow, and then looked back down to the bottle, and actually laughed. He then said," Oh no! This is my first glass. This bottle was already half-empty beforehand from a party my parents had after my graduation. Don't you remember how my two hunting, Republican uncles disappeared into here for the beginning, and then came out near the end totally trashed, and talking poorly about Obama and shit? Well, that's because they raided the liquor cabinet. I just wanted something to warm my spirits a little bit after my day." He put the bottle back into the cabinet, and then turned around and took a seat on the couch there, and motioning for Amelia to sit down as well.

Amelia sighed happy that it was his first drink. She moved to sit across from him, she didn't want to be close to him because of the way she felt when she was near him. "So are you going to tell me about your 'bad' afternoon?" she asked still a bit worried about what had him so upset.

He chuckled a bit sadly, and then sighed before saying," Well... Claire is a cunt. I'll start it off by saying that. I went to meet her for coffee this afternoon to talk, and when she gave me a stipulation. In order to get back together, I had to do something for her, and I just couldn't do it- and it was the bitchiest thing that a person could ever say to a significant other. Well, I told her I couldn't do it, and she flipped out on me. Then, she told me how she had been cheating on me the entire time we were together anyway, and was going to do it again regardless." He sighed sadly, before shooting back his scotch, and setting the glass down. He chuckled, though, before saying," But I got the last laugh. I made my number anonymous, and sent a nude she sent me back when we were together to her father." He then laughed, but when he composed himself, he looked over at her, and said," I'm sorry. I know you never liked Claire, I was just blind to why, and I realize how stupid I was."

Amelia sat there stunned as she tried to take in everything Haythem had said. "What did she ask you to do?" she asked quietly, knowing it had to of been pretty bad if he had go so low as to send a nude photo of Claire to her father. Amelia looked into his eyes trying to see if he truly was alright.

Haythem chuckled, and shook his head . "I think I'll keep that to myself for a little bit longer. Or at least until I get a few more of these into my system. Then I might be persuaded to tell- although that's a tough maybe," he said, before rising and going over to the cabinet once more and pour himself another glass of scotch, which he promptly downed and refilled before returning to the couch.

Amelia stood and went to sit beside him, taking the glass from his hand and setting it on the coffee table before taking his hands in hers. "If you are done with her why are you still so upset?" she asked giving his hands a tight squeeze. "You know now what kind of person she is and she can no longer hurt you. So don't let her still have control, by being angry at her. What's done is done, it's time to move on and find out what you really want in life." she said placing her hand on his cheek as she gave him a warm smile.

Haythem chuckled- although a bit sadly- and then said," It's not because of her that I am feeling this way. I'm feeling this way because of my own ignorance as to how I was acting when I was with her. Not only was I ignorant of how much of a tool I was being, but I was also ignorant of my true feelings for others...."

"Even so, you know now. You can fix whatever it is that you were being ignorant about." Amelia said simply. Hearing the soft chimes of his grandfather clock she gave his hands another squeeze. "It's getting late, will you be alright if I go on home? Or would you like me to stay a bit longer?" she asked as she tried to decide for herself if should leave him at all.

Luke chuckled, and said," Well, feel free to head home if you want to. But I am warning you in advance- chance is you will be getting another phone call like the one I gave after that same graduation party as when my uncles started that bottle. He chuckled, then, and said," And I do apologize in advance for that, but at the same time am not going to say I will not try to prevent it. That would be impossible."

"Then I will stay here for the night and make sure you don't drink any more scotch. Come on." Amelia said as she took his hand she led him to one of the bedrooms. Letting go of his hand she moved over to the bed and pulled back the covers. "In you go." she said as she waited for him to move. "Don't make me get you in this bed myself!"

Haythem followed her into the bedroom, and laughed at her little threat to him. He then poked her in the sides, stepping back, and said," Oh really? You'll get me into the bed yourself? I'd like to see you try! Come on Millie- give me your best shot!" (And sorry for such a short post)

Amelia tried hard not to laugh as he challenged her. "Alright Mister, you asked for it." she said as she walked over and tugged on his arm pulling him to the bed and getting him to sit on the edge. As she tried to push him back to lay down she found he was trying his best to stay sitting up, but with the few drinks of scotch he had lost most of his coordination and he finally fell back making Amelia fall on top of him from the sudden movement.

Haythem laughed as he was led over to the bed, and wrestled with briefly. When she finally got him back, and rolled on top of him, the red in his cheeks from the alcohol intensified for other, obvious reasons. He then stared into her eyes, and their breathing became the only sound in the room, as there was not a single other sound in the room beside it. Suddenly, Haythem leaned his head up just a small bit, and connected his lips with hers....

Amelia was stunned as Haythem kissed her, she closed her eyes kissing him back before pulling away. "Please, I don't just want to be the rebound girl that you sleep with and have no feelings for." she said softly before sliding off of him and pulling the covers over him taking one of the pillows and a blanked at the end of the bed before moving to lay over on the small love seat in the corner of the room.

She said that I couldn't be friends with you.... And that's when I realized. I care more about you than I ever did her. And that's when I told her to fuck off... I'm sorry for kissing you." He then pulled the covers over his head, then, and sighed deeply...
