Blair sighed as she drove, "We should be there soon, I think we have maybe half an hour? This road feels like it goes on forever," she murmured to Alex. fiddled with the knobs on the stereo, and kept her eyes on the road. The road trip was supposed to be their last before they went off to college and figured out what they were going to do with their life, so far it'd been the best two weeks they'd ever had and they had two more months ahead of them. Just two girls, a car and no worries. Blair's parents had supported the idea, knowing it could very well stir up some kind of passion in their daughter who hadn't had a clue what she wanted to do with her life.
She looked at the stereo as they spoke about a arsonist burning down abandoned buildings, "At first glance these would seem like accidental fires but with the occurrence of them, and the radius in which they're happening we've concluded that the suspect is very knowledgeable. There is no trace of how the fires were stared - they just were, like they'd always been there," the officer spoke over the radio.

I drummed my fingers against the dashboard. "So someone's going around just setting buildings on fire? Well at least they're abandoned. It would be worse if he was targeting occupied buildings." I said, looking out the window.
"What's the last mile marker you saw? We should be less than 50 miles from where we're gonna stop for today." I said, pulling up the map and tracing my finger along thr route.December 28th, 2014 at 01:47pm -
"I think it said something like 45 miles," she murmured gently as she drove and licked her lips, "We will be there soon, I doubt we'll take more than forty minutes," she spoke as she chewed on the inside of her cheek. When she looked back at the road she slammed on her breaks, a long truck with a tank filled with some kind of liquid was swerving and tipping over.
"Shit, shit shit," she said as she slammed the car into reverse and gassing it slamming into the car behind them shoving it as she went but the truck landed on the front of the car - the fluid from the top leaking into the sunroof of the car.December 28th, 2014 at 01:57pm -
Everything seemed to be happening in slow motion. All of a sudden a truck had tipped and whatever it was carrying was pouring into the sun roof and was filled up the cab of the car faster than I could unbuckle my seatbelt.
I screamed, feeling my skin begin to burn as the liquid touched it. Am I dying? I attempted to scrape the stuff off of me but the liquid had already reached my neck.December 28th, 2014 at 02:24pm -
She screamed and unbuckled, kicking the windshield making it crack under the pressure of the kicks. Blair felt the glass give way and the fluid flooded out of the car and she felt herself being dragged out of the car. Her skin burned as she screamed in pain her entire body shaking.

I leaned back against the seat, attempting to climb out of my window. The liquid was pouring so quickly it stuck my window. I felt hands pulling me out of the car, but I couldn't see anything. I heard Blair calling me and I looked around attempting to see where she was. "I'm here! I'm here! I can't see anything!" She whimpered and closed her eyes, as she slowly felt the darkness start to close in on her. When she woke up she heard the beeping of machines and she whimpered slightly as she felt the tube down her throat making her gag. She heard a nurse tell her to cough and the tube was pulled out.December 28th, 2014 at 03:42pm

I looked around nervously, I was in an extremely unfamiliar place. I had never been here before but I heard beeping. I looked around trying to get used to my surroundings. V

She coughed and sipped water from a straw then laid back her eyes darting across the room when she realized she was at the hospital, "What happened?" she asked softly.
"Miss Cooper you were in a coma for two weeks, we're happy you're awake," the nurse said to her.December 28th, 2014 at 04:34pm -
I looked around as the nurse walked over to me. "How are you feeling? You've been in and out for quite some time. Your friend is in the next room."
I immediately stood, feeling a rush of dizziness. I fell back down onto the bed, laying back.

"Where is Alex?" she asked as she closed her eyes, "The lights.. they're so bright," she whispered softly.
"I'll dim them for you," she said and turned them down, "She is in the next room, she woke up too"

I moved to stand, noticing that my left leg was in a cast and right arm in a sling, and with the nurses help I wheeled over to the next room to see Blair. "Blair! How are you? Are you hurt? They told me you were in a coma."December 28th, 2014 at 05:32pm
