Our Fates Were Always Intertwined.

Nami moved around the abandon property, grasping the flashlight tightly in her hand. "Come on." She heard Kael call out, his voice thick with demand. A small group had been hanging out when some body decided it would be awesome to tour the haunted house. Rolling her eyes she moved through the thick grass. The others had already disappeared inside, the only problem was she didn't know how they'd managed to enter. Walking around the house, she noticed a smaller building located in the thicket. Furrowing her brow she moved towards small barely standing building. Ducking inside a lose board, she moved around the build. Tilting her light up she looked up at the ceiling hoping it wouldn't cave in on her. In her fear of being crushed she wasn't paying attention to where she was walking, tripping she fell. A scream ripped from her throat, as she felt like she was falling for awhile.

Sesshomaru moved through the vacant village streets. The night had fallen upon them, making people scares, which he enjoyed. Not having to deal with pestering people. The only thing he'd ever enjoyed doing was killing demons. And right now he was on a lead to find one.

Lately, Inuyasha had been fairly bitter. And, he felt he had every reason to be. He had fallen in love with Kagome and she had just left him. With Kagome having left and Kikyo dead, he didn't have much to keep him occupied, especially since Miroku and Sango were busy making their family and Shippo was busy being an annoyance. At least he could avoid them all, though; they were all reminders of Kagome and he didn't want to be reminded of her at all.

Kimi had been back in Feudal Japan for only a day or so. At one point in time, back when she was younger, this time had been her home. She could only barely remember the dangers that surrounded humans like herself, the demons. But, then, she had been sent to Modern Japan by Sesshomaru's mother; she didn't know why. She didn't care. The entire time that she had been in Modern Japan, she had searched for a way back and, now, she was back home, back where she belonged.

Nami felt herself land quite roughly. "Ow." She whimpered out, standing up she brushed off her pants. Looking around she wondered just where the hell she was. She must be dreaming, the fall must have knocked her out. Reaching down she pinched her arm, only to groan out in protest when it hurt. Pouting she looked around, for her flashlight. Unable to find it, she felt fear creeping up on her. Looking around frantically she noticed a rope, looking up it she noticed the night sky. "What the hell." She muttered before she started to heave herself out of the well.

Sesshomaru lead had proven to be a false one, or the demon had decided it wasn't ready to rear its ugly face. Moving to a near by tree he slumped down against it. Keeping him out of town would be best, and just on the edge he could keep his ear to the ground hopefully find that demon. Closing his eyes he hoped he'd sleep a bit, since there was always an interruption.

Inuyasha sat down by the Sacred Tree, the one that he had been pinned to for the longest. With a sigh, he leaned back, closing his eyes. His ears perked slightly, but he ignored it, trying to let himself relax. He didn't want to deal with people and if any demon came around him, he'd just use Tetsaiga to get rid of it.

Kimi stuffed her hands into her pockets, since she still had clothes from the Modern Era. Glancing around, she decided to explore a bit. Since it had been so long since she was last here, she wanted to see if anything was different, if anything was new.

Nami groaned as she practically fell from the well, sliding down that bricking. Frowning she looked up, her mouth dropping open. This wasn't the rickety old building she'd been sneaking into. Whimpering out she feared that things weren't a simple as they seemed. Where the hell was she, and how did she get here. It must be a prank the guys were playing on her. "Guys?" She hollered out, hoping one of her friends would appear laughing like it was some big joke. They knew she hated to be left alone.

Sesshomaru dozed, his thoughts were all jumbled. He couldn't manage to concentrate on them either. The thoughts were just fleeting through his head. It was almost as if he was seeing flashes of his life in prefect color. Though he couldn't put any of it together, since most of his days all he did was wander aimlessly around.

Hearing somebody hollering, Inuyasha groaned with slight annoyance. Hand firmly on Tetsaiga, he made his way towards the source of the noise, only to pause when he realized that the noise was coming from the well. Was Kagome back? No, he doubted it; that hadn't been Kagome's voice and he could recognize her voice anywhere. His frown returning, he made his way to the well, looking down into it, only to blink in surprise when he saw a girl dressed in Modern Era clothing. "Who are you?" he called down, not understanding how somebody else had made it into the well.

Kimi continued walking for a long while, only to freeze when she finally paid attention to where she was going. Staring at the tree in front of her, she noticed a figure leaning against it and made her way closer, her brows furrowed when she recognized him. It wasn't the same Sesshomaru that she knew from when she was a child; he had clearly aged. Still, she didn't want to just assume that it was him. "Sesshomaru?" she called with curiosity, almost cautious. What if it wasn't him and she was stupid enough to wake a demon that would likely kill her for interrupting its sleep?

Nami stared up, her eyes widening. Not sure what she was seeing. It was dark and the figure was blocking out the light. "Nami." She squeaked out. Fearing that the owner of the property was here and he was pissed off that she'd trespassed. Grasping the bottom of her skirt she tugged at the seam, it was a nervous habit she had.

Sesshomaru's eyes sprung open, looking around. Tilting his head to that side as he took in the human figure standing a few yards from him. "What's it to you?" He growled out, grasping the handle of Bakusaiga. He wasn't in the mood to fight, but he would never back down from one.

Inuyasha didn't recognize the name. Part of him had almost hoped that it was one of Kagome's friends, telling him that she wanted him to come see her - but, then, he remembered that only Kagome had been able to get through the well before. So, why was this girl capable of doing it? Sighing, he figured he could at least help her out, so he moved to jump down into the well, taking hold of her without her permission, then he jumped back up with her in his arms.

Well, that wasn't the greeting Kimi had hoped for. Her eyes concentrated on the sword that he was holding and she eventually frowned, folding her arms over her chest, something she had picked up in the Modern Era. "Come now, Sesshomaru. Don't you remember me at all?" she said simply, eyeing him for a moment before she shrugged. "Funny that you're reaching for your sword. Are you afraid that a little human like me can hurt you when I have no weapons?"

Nami screamed and pushed him away from her, which meant she pushed herself from his arm. Landing on the ground, she murmured out disapproval before scurrying away from him. "What the.." She shrieked, quickly getting off the ground. Gasping at the man in front of her. Just barely able to make out his face, also noticing the dog ears poking from his hair. Her breath left her in great heaves of waves, before she felt light headed. There was no way she was seeing what she was. Though it didn't matter, as everything went dark. Her body crumpling down.

Sesshomaru frowns only increased hearing the words from the humans mouth. But he knew there was demons that played tricks on him and some had even taken over an humans body just so it could move amongst people unnoticed. Tilting his head to the side, he looked the girl over. He felt as if he knew her, but then he'd encountered hundreds of pathetic human. "Your life is of no importance to me." He informed the person. "And my patience is getting thin." He didn't play games and anyone that knew him knew that about him.

Inuyasha stared at the girl for a long moment before he pinched the bridge of his nose. "Are Modern Era girls always this complicated?" he asked, muttering to himself. Looking around, he frowned, knowing that he couldn't leave her there. Demons might come around and kill her, maybe eat her, depending on the demon. "Troublesome," he deducted before he picked her up again and headed to the village, figuring that Kaede could take care of her.

Kimi stared blankly at him for a long moment before she let out a long sigh. Of course he didn't recognize her; she was a baka for believing otherwise. "Kimi Yukimura," she told him, a frown taking over her features before she turned away from him. "My name is Kimi Yukimura, Sesshomaru. Too bad you probably don't even remember that, hm?" No, she shouldn't let herself dwell on that; she should just leave, she told herself.

Nami screamed and thrashed as he held her. "Put me down." She demanded, trying her hardest to get away from him. But his strength was nothing she'd ever encountered before.

Kimi the name ran through Sesshomaru's head. He'd heard that name before, but he couldn't place it. Looking at the girl he was confused as to why he could care who she was. Or why she would let him know who she was if she wasn't going to inform him exactly who she was. "You're human why would I care to know you?" He asked not caring if he hurt her or not. He hadn't care about humans for years.

"Oh, calm down," Inuyasha muttered with a roll of his eyes. "I'm taking you somewhere safe. Geez, are all women from your time this crazy?" Kagome had acted like this at some points, too. The recollection sent a pang through him, but he tried to ignore it and continued on his way to the village.

Kimi couldn't help but clench her fists then. Why would he care? Did he really just ask that? "Oh, I don't know, perhaps because, at one point, we were pretty close," she drawled as an answer, glancing back at him for a moment. "But, I suppose you're so old that you don't even remember childhood friends."

Kali stopped thrashing, "my time?" She questioned, not understanding what the hell he was going on about. Frowning she started putting things together, that was the well that the people in her town kept going on about. It was suppose to be a great source of bad energy, which was where the haunting legends originated.

Sesshomura glared this human down, "not possible." He said to her, "she's dead." He informed her. His mother had informed him of her passing when she disappeared, she was missing for days before they discovered her body. Or so everyone thought it was her's.

Inuyasha cringed, realizing his mistake in mentioning the time difference, but he ignored it and lifted his shoulders in a shrug. "Yeah, you're from the Modern Era, aren't you?" he chimed, hoping to treat this as normally as he could. Maybe, then, she might actually believe it and not freak out more about the entire thing.

Kimi stared at him for a long time before frowning. "Did your mother tell you that?" she asked after a moment. "She sent me away, Sesshomaru, to the Modern Era. I don't know why, really, whether it was for my sake or your sake or just because she wanted to, but she did." She paused, then, and stared at him. "Were you sad when you thought I was dead?"

"Modern era?" She questioned him, having never heard of such at thing. She quite honestly thought she was dreaming, seeing as this guy has dog ears. So really what sick kind of joke was her mind playing on her.

Sesshomaru's frown deepened, how could she accuse his mother of such a thing. Shaking the thoughts from his head he was shocked to find a childhood friend standing in front of him. Thinking over his thoughts he couldn't remember if he was sad or not. He remembered being angry, and he hunted the demon responsible down and slayed it. "Angry." He told her, honestly. Never remember ever having had any emotions other than anger and hate.

It was impossible to explain what he was meaning, Inuyasha knew that. So, relenting with a sigh, he concentrated in getting to Kaede's village, though he paused in his steps for a moment. "Do you... Do you know Kagome?" he finally asked, wondering if they were from the same time, if she knew Kagome, if Kagome had spoken about him. If Kagome missed him.

Kimi offered a bitter smile in response and nodded slowly. "That sounds like you," she said honestly before she sighed, "Though, since you think I'm dead, I suppose knowing that would just make me seem like an imposter. Not that it matters, of course." She could only hope that he would ask his mother for the truth, but she doubted it.

Nami furrowed her brows, who the hell was Kagome. "Uh no, I guess I can't say I have met her." She informed him. Not know what knowing this girl could possible have to do with anything.

Sesshomaru tilted his head to the side peering at this girl before him. Blinking at her, what was he suppose to think. She was very easy on the eyes, but he wasn't to fond of her being a human. He did remember that his mother had made the comment he needed new friends and humans weren't acceptable. Though she was right it didn't matter anymore weather or not they were friends anymore.

Inuyasha almost felt a bit pained with the knowledge, but he supposed it might be for the better. Still... "But you came through the well," he pressed on, "Kagome's family looked after the shrine that the well was in." Or was that no longer the case?

Kimi shifted slightly at noticing his gaze on her and she eyed him curiously. "Are you going to kill me, Sesshomaru?" she asked. It was a question she had often asked when they were children, though it had aways been joking. Now, though, she wasn't certain.

Nami frowned at him, "the shrine has been abandoned for years, if not more than a decade." She said. The people now use it as a tourist attraction, it was suppose to be a haunted house.

Sesshomaru just stared at her, his head tilted to the side. "Your already dead." He informed her before moving back to the tree. Sitting down her propped himself up against the trees. Hoping to get back to sleep.
