Brian sighed softly as he sat down on the back porch steps, watching Pinkly run around the yard and play with a stick that she found somewhere. He never really understood why dogs loved sticks so much. Sometimes Brian wished he were a dog, then he wouldn't have to worry about anything. Lately, all him and Gen have been doing is fighting. He didn't understand it anymore. He tried so hard to make things perfect, but it just didn't seem like it was enough. Maybe they were just growing apart from each other and there was nothing they could do to stop it. They thought having a baby would help, but ever since she got pregnant things have just gotten worse. Brian knew that all of the constant fighting wasn't good for Genevieve, or the baby, but there was no control over it. It just kind of happened. Brian chuckled as Pinkly brought him the stick, picking it up and throwing it, watching he run after it. She was such a cute dog, he loved her to pieces.

Madelina popped her gum as she flipped through a magazine, waiting for her nails to dry. She was thinking about texting Matt to see what he was up to, but she figured she shouldn't. They did just hang out yesterday. But he was her best friend, so why wouldn't she want to see him all the time? Maddy knew that everyone was always constantly saying how her and Matt needed to confess their love for each other and move on with their lives, but she thought they were all crazy. She wasn't in love with her best friend. No matter how much she knew deep, deep down inside that she really was in love with him, she was going to keep denying it to herself. Simply because she knew that he would never in a million years feel the same way.

Gen watched Brian play with the dog out of the kitchen window, a sad smile on her face. She still lived her husband with all of her heart, but lately all they seemed to do was scream at each other. Gen smiled down at her stomach, rubbing the bump that was beginning to form. She hoped that the baby would bring her and Brian closer together, but it wasn't working. They still fought like crazy. Gen sighed softly and padded upstairs, deciding to take a bath. Hopefully that'd be able to help her relax. She had been having back pain ever since she woke up that morning.

Matt rolled over and rubbed his eyes, groaning in pain. He and Maddy had gone out drinking the previous night, and he was definitely feeling it now. Matt blindly reached for his phone before grabbing it. He quickly texted Maddy 'tell me you're as hungover as I am right now before putting his phone down. Matt waited a few minutes to make sure he wasn't going to puke before getting out of bed and padding across the hall to his bathroom, the sound of his feet hitting the floor like thunder in his ears. He needed a shower.

Brian eventually made his way inside, figuring he'd fix himself something to eat since he was getting pretty hungry. He should probably see what Gen was up to and if she wanted anything to eat too. Brian began looking around the house for her, eventually finding her upstairs. "Do you want something to eat? I'm going to make some lunch," he murmured as he watched her undress and get into the bath. He thought Gen was the most beautiful woman in the world, and he would always think that. He loved his wife to death and nothing would ever change that. Even if they did end up separating, he'd always be in love with her. Though, Brian knew that they weren't ever going to separate. He was going to make sure of it.

Madelina jumped a little when her phone started dancing across the table, letting her know that she had a text. She smiled when she saw it was from Matt, letting out a small giggle as she read it. 'No, sorry babe. I'm feeling pretty good today.' She sent, sighing softly and checking to see if her nails were completely dry. Madelina tossed the magazine onto the table, getting up and putting her phone in her back pocket before going into the kitchen to fix herself some tea. She really didn't have much of a hangover at all, her head was a little fuzzy but that was it. Though she had a very high tolerance for alcohol, plus Matt had drank way more then she did, that's for sure.

Gen looked up at Brian as she sank into the warm water. "Yeah... could you please heat up some of that pizza from last night, please?" She whispered, looking up at the man she married. "Thank you, baby." Gen whispered. That was the first civil conversation that they had since they went to bed the previous night. She closed her eyes and sank into the water as Brian left, just enjoying the magic the heat was working on her muscles. Maybe she'd as k Brian for a massage once she got out of the tub. With a soft sigh, Gen reached up and dropped her bath bomb into the tub.

Matt heard his phone buzz just as he finished scrubbing his face. He picked it up and read the text from Maddy, groaning. Of course, Maddy wasn't hungover. She didn't really drink all that much the previous night, and she was far from a lightweight. 'Of course you aren't hungover. I feel like I got hit by a bus.' Matt put his phone back on the counter before getting ready to hop in the shower. Hopefully it would help wake him off and wash away the hangover.

Brian grinned at her and nodded, turning and leaving the bathroom. He went downstairs and pulled out the left over pizza from the fridge, turning the oven on and letting it warm up before he put the pizza in there. By the time Gen got out of the bath the pizza should be ready for her to eat. Brian was trying to be as nice as possible to her for the remainder of the day. Though, he didn't know how well that was going to work out, considering they always found something to argue about. He sighed heavily, shaking his head and running his fingers through his insane looking hair.

Madelina giggled as she read his text, shaking her head. 'Aw, you poor thing. How about I come take care of you today? Besides, I wanna see my Bella.<3' She put her tea in a thermos, going upstairs and taking a quick shower, throwing on one of Matt's shirts that he left at her house one time and a pair of sweatpants. She didn't feel like dressing up today at all, besides it was just Matt. He's seen her at her absolute worst. Madeline tied her hair up in a messy bun before grabbing her bag and heading out to her car, starting it and taking off towards Matt's. She didn't even give him a chance to reply. She showed up at his house a few minutes later, using her own key to get in. "Hi, Bella!" she squealed as the dog came to greet her, bending down and giving her some love.

Gen lay in the tub for another fifteen minutes or so before the water began to run cold. She flipped the switch and let all of the water run out before getting out of the tub. With a soft sigh, Gen wrapped herself up tight in her bathrobe before heading to the bedroom she shared with Brian. She rifled through her drawers for a few minutes before changing into a pair of yoga pants and one of Brian's t-shirts. Gen threw her hair up in a bun and began to waddle downstairs. She smiled slightly when she saw Brian at the kitchen table. "Hey..." she whispered gently, leaning against the doorway leading into the kitchen. "My back's been killing me all day. Could I have a back rub after I eat, please?" Gen whispered, absentmindedly rubbing her stomach.

Matt was just stepping out of the shower when he heard Bella going nuts downstairs. Maddy must have just let herself in. He quickly dressed in a pair of basketball shorts and a muscle tank before heading downstairs. "I have to get a better alarm system," he teased, slinging an arm around his best friend. "Dude I'm fucking starving. Let me take an advil and maybe we can go get breakfast?" Matt suggested, leaning down to pet his dog. "Or we can order in. Either way I'm starving."

Brian grinned at her and nodded, getting up and taking the pizza out of the oven, grabbing Gen a plate and putting a few pieces on it before setting it on the table along with her drink. Brian really did love taking care of her, just sometimes she got way too needy. He never thought that pregnant women had so many needs. Brian sat back down at the table, taking a sip of his beer that decided to get while making his sandwich. Brian liked to have a beer every once in a while, but lately he's been drinking a lot more then usual. Almost every day if you think about it. It was just that the stress of their first child and them constantly fighting was really taking a toll on him. He liked to have a beer to relax him.

Madelina giggled, thinking about what she wanted to do. "Lets order in. I don't feel like going anywhere and I'm certainly not dressed for it," she said with a giggle, pushing his arm off of her and making her way into the kitchen. She grabbed the folder with all the take out menus, dumping them out onto the counter and shuffling through them. "What are you in the mood for? By the way, it's not breakfast anymore, sweets. It's totally lunch time," she said, shaking her head and glancing at a Chinese menu. Matt had so many menus and there were so many places to choose from that would deliver. Madelina felt overwhelmed with choices.

Gen smiled softly and sat down at the kitchen table, gently rubbing her tummy. She was absolutely fucking starving. "Thank you," she whispered, taking a bite of the pizza and almost moaning in satisfaction. It was so rare nowadays that she was able to keep anything down that anything she ate (and didn't immediately vomit everywhere) tasted like heaven. "I love you." Gen bit her bottom lip before sipping her drink.

Matt rolled his eyes. "Shut up, Madi." He grumbled, running a hand through his hair. He looked at the massive pile of take out menus, randomly grabbing at a Chinese one. "This looks good." He spoke, handing it to Madi. "Go ahead and order, I'll pay when they get here. I need to find the advil." Matt patted Madi's shoulder before shuffling off to find the precious medicine.

Brian raised an eyebrow and smirked as he watched her eat, chuckling softly. "You love me, or the food?" He asked, tilting his head to the side and biting his lip. "I'm guessing the food with the way you're eating." Brian always thought it was hilarious with the way she ate. But really he didn't care how she ate as long as she was eating and keeping it down. He sometimes got worried with her puking everything up all the time.

Madelina called in the food, getting so much stuff it was ridiculous. She liked having a lot of options when it came to Chinese food. When she was done, she put the menus away and went into the living room, plopping down on the couch, remote in hand. Madelina giggled as Bella jumped up onto the couch next to her, resting her head in Madi's lap. Madi started to channel surf. She was getting impatient with waiting on the food already.

Gen frowned and put her pizza down, sliding it away. She knew Brian was more than likely joking, but it still hurt her feelings. "I'm not hungry anymore." She mumbled, standing up and pushing her chair in. "You can forget the back rub too... I'm just gonna go to bed." She made her way to the stairs and climbed upward, slamming the door of their bedroom shut. Gen knew she was probably overreacting, but she was pregnant and hormonal. And, once again, Brian had hurt her feelings.

Matt eventually surfaced from the downstairs bathroom, having taken his Advil. "How long till the food gets here?" He yawned, deciding to sit in his recliner because Bella and Madi were taking up the entire couch. Not that he minded, really. "Because I'm fucking starving, and Chinese sounds like the only thing I can keep down at this point."

Brian sighed heavily, shaking his head as he stared at the spot that Gen used to be in. She always overreacted over everything, it was so frustrating. Brian thought about going up to apologize, but he knew that it was just going to be one big fight, and he certainly didn't want that. But then again, not apologizing to her would end up causing a fight too. Either way, he was screwed, so he might as well at least do the right thing and apologize. He sighed heavily and got up, slowly making his way up the stairs and to their bedroom. He cracked the door open, peeking in and biting down on his bottom lip as he watched her. "I'm sorry, Gen. I was only joking," he said after a while, opening the door fully and stepping in the room.

Madi looked over at him and shrugged, petting Bella's head. "You know, you should really build up a tolerance for alcohol, or at least remember to drink a glass of water before bed and take an Advil. At least then you know you won't wake up with a splitting headache and sick," she said, shaking her head at him. She needed to teach him how to properly get drunk without getting himself a hangover. Madelina grinned when she heard the doorbell ring, hopping up and rushing to the door. She paid the delivery man with the money she took out of Matt's wallet, taking the bag of food from him and shutting the door.

Gen bit her bottom lip and ran a hand through her hair. She knew that Brian was sorry, but it still hurt her feelings. She was pregnant as hell, after all. Her hormones were running wild. "I know, Bri." She whispered tiredly, running a hand through her hair. "But I'm super sensitive right now. Any little thing sets me off." Gen swallowed slightly. "Brian, let's not fight tonight, okay? Neither of us need the strsss." She whispered.

Matt rolled his eyes. "Shut up, Madi. Spare the lecture and go grab the food." He playfully shoved Madi as she went to go grab the Chinese food. Matt rubbed his temples and smiled when the food came into view. "Alright, give me my almond chicken and get the hell out of my sight." He teased, grabbing his food. Matt took the little plastic container, drizzled some soy sauce over his rice, and took a huge bite.

Brian grinned and nodded, thinking that went a lot better then he had expected. "You're right, we don't," he murmured, sitting down on the bed next to her. "Do you still want that back rub?" he asked, biting down on his bottom lip. He just wanted to make her happy. He didn't want to fight with her anymore, especially since it wasn't good for the baby. He'd be devastated if something happened.

Madelina giggled softly, shaking her head and grabbing her egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken. She raised an eyebrow at how Matt was practically inhaling his food. "You hang around Zacky too much, I think. His bad habits are rubbing off on you," she said, taking a bite of her egg roll.

Gen nodded her head, rolling onto her back with a little bit of difficulty. "Please, baby." She whispered. "My neck and shoulders have been killing me all day. It's like I'm carrying a bowling ball." She laughed, closing her eyes and sighing gently.

"I haven't eaten since last night, when I emptied my stomach all over that poor lady's front lawn." Matt spoke, taking another bite of his chicken. "So I've got an empty stomach, and I'm a grown ass man. I need food." He took a sip of his drink.

Brian hummed softly as he strummed on his acoustic guitar. He was working on the new song for the band, also one for his new bundle of joy that was soon to make its way into the world. He just hoped that when it got here that he and Gen got their bickering under control. He didn't want to have the baby be around constant fighting. He hoped and prayed things would get better once her hormone levels were back to normal or something and she wasn't so crazy. He had to admit though, that things were getting better compared to how they were in the beginning of the pregnancy. They were working on their differences the best that they could and Brian was learning to be a bit more patient even though he definitely had a temper. He sighed as he thought of a few notes for the song, quickly jotting them down. He cleared his theist before he resumed playing, the only time he was really relaxed and feeling st ease.

Madeline twisted her lips to the side as she tried to decide on which bra and underwear set she wanted. Victoria's Secret was having a huge summer sale and of course she couldn't miss out on that. Along with countless other stores, which meant she had to bring her shopping buddy. "What do you thing, Matt?" She asked, holding both of them up. "Flowers or palm trees?" She asked him, pouting. "Oh wait, these are pretty!" She gasped, tossing both of the sets she had in her hands aside and going for the neon ones over in the corner. She dragged Matt with her, picking out a couple of pairs before finally paying for them and leaving the store. "Thanks for coming with me today, Matt," she said as they left the store, handing him the bag to carry. That was what she pretty much brought him for. "You're like, the bestest best friend in the whole wide world," she told him with a giggle as she kissed his cheek. She wished she hadn't done that because even though it was her that did it, it made her own self blush.

Gen had just come in from shopping with Meghan, Zack's new wife slash baby momma. Even though the two had been together for awhile, Gen wanted to make Meghan feel comfortable. She knew what it was like to enter the fold following a bitter divorce, and have everyone look at you weird. Not that much of that went on anymore, but still. Gen liked making people feel happy. "Babe, I'm home!" Gen called out, knowing Brian was somewhere in the house. She kicked her shoes off before heading upstairs, dropping her bags off in their bedroom. The pregnant mom-to-be changed into a pair of yoga pants and one of Brian's shirts before throwing her hair up in a bun. Once she was decently comfortable, Gen made her way downstairs and followed the sound of the guitar. "Hey, you." She spoke when she found Brian, leaning against the entrance to his music room. "I'm home."

Ten years ago, you never would have caught Matt DEAD in Victoria's Secret. That would have killed his tough, rock and roll image. But now, he didn't even care. He was a grown ass man, and he was spending time with one of his dear friends. Who cared what people had to say? "Flowers." The vocalist spoke, following behind Maddie. He waited patiently as she payed before following her out, breathing a sigh of relief that he hadn't realized that he'd been holding in. "You're welcome, Mads," Matt spoke, waving away her thanks. "I do what I can." He raised a brow in surprise when Maddie kissed his cheek. That was unusual-- but to be honest, Matt didn't hate it. He wouldn't have minded if she did it again, if he were being completely honest. "So, where do you want to hit next? Or are you done torturing me for the day?"

Brian looked up when he heard a voice, smiling brightly when he saw Gen standing in the doorway. "Hey there, buttercup," he greeted, setting his guitar down and deciding to take a break. "How was shopping with Megan?" He asked her as he leaned back in his seat, opening his arms out for her as a signal for her to come and sit on his lap. "Did you get anything good?" Brian was glad that he had such an amazing wife. He had to say that he definitely got lucky, even though they did have a few rough patches here and there. Okay, lately they've been having a lot of rough patches but that was besides the point. All of the other guys either had s fucked marriage, weren't settled down or were divorced. "I'm sure Zacky is really happy that you do your best to make her feel like part of the gang." Brian grinned and gave her a small kiss on the lips, instantly wrapping his arms around her and placing his hands on her stomach once she finally sat in his lap. He grinned as he felt the baby kick, sighing contently. He had no idea what he was going to do once the baby was finally here and not inside Gen anymore. It wasn't just going to be some kicking thing inside her stomach. It was crazy to think about.

Madeline giggled, biting her lower lip. She sighed softly as she looked around, trying to think if there were any other places she wanted to go to. "I'm not sure," she said, rubbing the back of her neck. "Oh! Gen's baby shower is coming up, I have to get a gift," she said with wide eyes, dragging Matt to this extremely high end baby store. Madeline wanted to get this adorable personalized baby gift for the little Haner. She bit down on her lower lip as she browsed the store, looking at all the things she could get. "Oh, I don't know what to get. What do you think?" She asked Matt, pouting. She thought she had it all figured out but everything was just way to cute. She felt sorry for whoever she had a kid with because decision making would be so difficult. "You two are such a beautiful couple. First child?" An elderly lady asked as she walked by, making Madeline's face turn a million shades of red. She shook her head, letting out a nervous giggle. "Oh, no, we're not- he's not-" but before she could finish the little old lady had shuffled off. "Oh boy," she muttered, running a hand through her hair. She didn't even want to look at Matt right now. She cleared her throat and continued to look, eventually finding a baby blanket that she would get baby Haner sewn on it.
