  • "Why are you doing this Bryan?" Flora asked as she quickly followed her brother right to the door for the apartment next to her own before he knocked on the door. "Because I worry about my little sister, and I'm going to prove to you that you'll be safe here. Don't look so worried." He told her though she wasn't sure what he thought he'd prove by knocking on her neighbors door and bothering the guy, she didn't have much of a choice but to go along with it really. After all he'd already knocked on the door and someone would probably answer before she'd even had the chance to unlock and get through her own. "You know for once could you just trust that I know what I'm doing."

  • Spencer was sat reading his fourth or fifth book of the hour in his apartment, it was easy for him to lose track sometimes, when he heard a knock at the door. He doubted any of his team members would show up unannounced, maybe Garcia, but he didn't think that she had any reason to show up unannounced, so he wasn't really sure who was at the door. Setting his book down, he walked over to the door and opened it, noticed a man and a woman standing on the other side. He didn't recognize either of them. "Can I help you two with something?"

  • Flora ran her hand over her face totally bothered by her brother's decision to do whatever the hell he was doing right now. Clearly though no matter what she actually said to him would matter though, because he had some kind of plan here and he was going through with it no matter what she wanted. "You can actually. See my sister's new to the area and I've heard that this is a safe area to live. Would you agree with that?" Bryan asked before he was being hit upside the head. "You don't have to answer that, and I'm sorry if we bothered you. He can get a little freaked out." She said shaking her head. Yea she knew why he worried about her so much, and she got it really. She worried about him too but really she was grown, and eventually they'd both known the day would come when they'd have to split apart and not live quiet as close to one another as they always had. Plus he acted like she'd done absolutely no research on the place before moving in, when it fact she'd done quite a lot.

  • "Statistically speaking, the crime rate for this area is consistent with the national average." Reid responded rather quickly. He wouldn't say that it was a dangerous area or anything like that, he'd been living there for a while actually, and really hadn't noticed anything that would deem it dangerous. Part of him wanted ask why they would be so concerned about their safety in this area, but he didn't even know their names, so he figured that it would a little out of line. "It's alright."
    February 12th, 2015 at 03:11pm
  • Flora smiled at the guy again, realizing she didn't even know his name, and decided she might as well introduce herself since they'd be living in the same building anyways and she supposed it was likely that they'd bump into one another again. "I'm Flora by the way. And I really am sorry if we interrupted anything important. I'm not that worried about living here so I don't need confirmation on how safe it is here. He however is a little more on edge about everything than I am." She told him wishing that weren't true sometimes. But well Bryan could be a little freaked out when it came to things sometimes. And honestly he'd probably be concerned about both their safeties until he died.
    February 12th, 2015 at 09:31pm
  • Spencer smiled slightly. "It's not a problem, honestly." He told her. "I'm Spencer." He didn't mind or think that they were interrupting or bothering him at all. Sure, he hadn't been called in for a case or anything, and this was technically his time to just relax and do whatever he felt like doing, but he could take a few minutes or so of his time away from his books for the time being. It wasn't like it took him very long to read them anyway. He'd be finished with them pretty quickly.

  • "Well it was nice to meet you Spencer. We should probably be getting back to my own apartment though given I still have some boxes I need to move in." Flora told him still smiling. "I'm sure I'll see you around though." She said pretty sure that since they lived in the same building and at the moment he was the only person she'd met who also lived here they were bound to see one another again. And if by chance she didn't just bump into him going to do laundry or something maybe she'd invite him over for dinner. Either way she was sure they'd see one another again.
    February 13th, 2015 at 05:47am
  • Spencer smiled slightly. "It was nice meeting you too." He said. He'd be pretty surprised if he didn't see her again. She lived on the same floor as him, and there weren't that many apartments on each floor, so the chances were actually pretty high. What really surprised him right now though, was the fact that he kind of really wanted to bump into her again. It kind of caught him off guard actually.

  • Flora sent Spencer once last smile as she and her brother walked away and back towards her own apartment, that was only two doors down. "You like that guy don't you?" Her brother asked her in a teasing manner only a sibling could you use. "Bryan I just met the guy. And it's your fault for being a total idiot and knocking on his door." She said shaking her head and rolling her eyes. Though she did think he was attractive and she had a pretty good sense that he was one of the good guys. "He does seem nice though." She added knowing her love life wasn't exactly the best but maybe being on her own would change that. "Why didn't you invite him to dinner or something then." "You're an idiot Bryan."

  • Spencer returned the smile that Flora had sent his way, watching them walk down the hallway before closing the door. He noticed that they had stopped at the apartment only two doors down from his. The likelihood of them bumping into each other was even higher now. He knew that he was home as often as most guys his age were, he was usually halfway across the country working on different cases, but he still had a feeling that he'd be seeing a lot more of the pretty blonde, and he sure did hope that he was right.

  • Flora and her brother spent the next hour or so bringing the rest of her boxes up to her apartment before she decide she was ready to try being alone. "Are you sure you're ready for this? I mean we haven't really been alone since mom and dad died." He told her clearly nervous about leaving her. And honestly she couldn't help but be nervous herself, it was after all the first time either of them had lived alone since their parents had died and that kind of scared her. But this was just one of those things she needed to face. "I'll admit I'm nervous but I'll be okay. Maybe if I get too freaked out I'll go visit Spencer." She said knowing he'd probably make a joke about it, and she didn't think it'd be a bad idea actually. It would actually be smart of her to make friends with at least one other person who lived here so maybe she wouldn't feel alone and get totally freaked out. Or so she'd have someone she could go to if she did get too freaked out. Though she totally wouldn't expect Spencer, or anyone she became friends with really, to just drop everything for her if she needed someone and they weren't able to at that moment. If something like that did happen she knew she'd always have her brother.

  • [I'm not really sure what to write for Spencer...it would've just been a super fillerish post, so did you want to do a skip or something, haha?]

  • [ fillerish replies would've been okay XD but yea we should just skip though to them actually being able to talk alone lol. ]

  • Spencer had yet to run into Flora at all at their apartment complex. He found it strange seeing as, based on the number of people who lived in their building and the fact that they lived on the same floor, the odds of them running into each other should have been pretty high. However, he wasn't going to let it bother him too much. He had other, more important, things to worry about right now. Like the new case he was working on. It was local, so there was no real traveling involved, but it did require a trip down to the hospital so that the most recent victim could be questioned. Little did he know that he'd be seeing the blonde who had been on his mind quite frequently as of late very soon and quite possibly somewhere he wouldn't expect to see her.

  • Being a nurse was stressful, and meant long hours sometimes even on her days off if things got super busy she'd still be asked to come in and help. Which she usually agreed to because well she'd became a nurse to help as many people as she could. After all, she knew what it felt like for families to be broken apart by death and if there was anything she could do to stop from that from happening she would. And today was one of those busy days where they were filling up with patients and she'd be lucky to get a moment to herself. Little did she know she'd be seeing a certain man who lived in her building soon enough, and that'd be enough to brighten her day a little. "Well it looks like you're gonna be okay," She said looking at the kids chart. He'd been brought in early that morning in pretty bad condition. But he was lucky and had made it through surgery, and everything else just fine. Sure he'd have to be there a few days to make sure he stayed okay and all but for now he was okay. "You just get some rest," she finally said signing off on the chart then leaving his room only to run into someone asking the desk about him.

  • "Can I help you two?" The woman at the front desk asked as Spencer and Morgan approached. "You can actually. I'm Dr. Spencer Reid and this is SSA Derek Morgan. We're with the Behavioral Analysis Unit. One of your patients was the most recent victim of a case we are working on, and we were hoping to ask them a few questions." Spencer said, introducing himself and Morgan to the woman. "Ah yes, we were told that two of you would be stopping by today. He's in room 308." Spencer sent a smile the woman's way and nodded. "Thank you." He headed towards the elevator with Morgan in tow.

  • Flora stepped out of the boys room only to be stopped by her supervisor, who informed her that there were two special agents coming to talk with her most recent patient. Which, of course, worried her a little, but at the same time the fact that when he'd came through the doors that morning it hadn't even looked like he'd make it had worried her as well and he was fine. So she was sure whatever they needed to talk to him about would work out. And once the elevator stopped Morgan stepped off and headed right towards room 308. "Excuse me, I'm SSA Derek Morgan, and this is Dr. Spencer Reid. And we actually needed to ask the kid in this room a few questions, if that's at all possible." Derek said smiling at the blonde nurse in front of him. Flora smiled and tucked her hair behind her ear. "He should still be awake, but I can't promise that he won't be a little drowsy or that you'll have more than maybe five minutes," she told him knowing that it was important they talked to him, but he did just get out of surgery not that long ago and he was probably tried. "And it's nice to see you again Spencer," she finally said looking over to the Spencer, who was kind of the last person she'd expected to run into while she was at work.

  • [Sorry this took me so long! I was busy finishing up my summer class, and I just started a new job.]

To say that Spencer was surprised to see Flora was a bit of an understatement. He hadn't really seen her at all since she and her brother had knocked on his apartment door two weeks prior. Granted, he'd had a case in California before this one, so he hadn't been home much, but the last place he'd expected to run into her was the hospital. Statistically speaking, he was more likely to run into her at their apartment complex than the hospital. "Thank you, we'll see what we can get from him." Derek said, though Spencer noticed the questioning look his friend had sent his way when Flora said it was good to see him again. He was definitely in for it later. "Nice to see you again too, Flora." He said before following Derek into the hospital room.
