"It's kind of creepy how they always do that," Brina said with a little face. She would be annoyed all the time if that happened to get. She would end up assaulting someone. "They're like those flocks of birds on Finding Nemo!" Brina joked, letting out a laugh that was louder than it should've been because it wasn't really that funny. "Anyways, yeah, I got them all done. Can you just check them to make sure they are right?" Brina asked leaning into him when he put his arm around her. She barely even noticed that she did it.
Michael nodded. He was all for getting out of here once he was done with his college or until he could transfer. He wanted to be in a much bigger city, like New York. "I can understand that." Michael took another gulp of his coffee and chuckled at the mention of her friend. "Happens a lot more than you'd think, especially in high schools. I try to avoid them," he said with a shrug. "Although, I never understood why girls bump into guys to hit on them. I don't think it ever works except in movies," He said with a laugh. Most of the time they got annoyed or kept going. But it still happened. "I've never been actually knocked over though, or had someone fall on me so that's a first."

Josh smiled at her joke as he took the paper looking at it. He'd seen where she made a mistake but she'd fixed it and come up with the right answer. "Perfect." He said handing the paper back. "Have you had any trouble today Brina?" He asked leaning into her.
"Ya we'll Cass can get away with just about anything." Levy said simply with a side smile. She was the Mayors daughter after all and the boys seemed to flock at her though Micheal seemed immune to her attempts. "I wish I could say that's the first time I've been knocked on my ass." She said with a slight laugh.

Brina smiled triumphantly before putting her work into her binder and back into her bag. "No," She responded, making a little confused face. "Should I be worried about trouble?" Now she was worried that she'd have to deal with Josh's flock of girls causing trouble. She wasn't sure she could handle that, even if they only stopped 'dating' after Carla or whoever stopped bothering her.
Michael huffed out a small laugh. He knew plenty of girls like that, gone through lots of those girls.. it was always worse to dump them than to date them, that's for sure. Eventually you stop being made impervious to their effects. Michael's face screwed up a little when she mentioned being knocked over a lot. "I don't see why, you're gorgeous.." Michael stated with a smug little smile before breaking eye contact to take a sip of his coffee.

"No I mean the worst they might do is try to break us up. They might say some pretty horrible things about me." Josh admitted looking into her eyes. So he wasn't the best person alive and maybe most of what they said would be true unless they tried to say he hurt him because he'd damn sure never hit a lady even if they weren't exactly lady like.
Levy shrugged trying to play off what she'd just said. She'd almost given away part of her life the part she would rather kept hidden. "I guess people don't really see me. I try to mind my own business." She said brushing her hair from her face. Only Trenton and Tyler knew and she would prefer to keep it that way it was in her past now and soon she'd leave it all behind and wouldn't have to worry every time she left the house that she'd run into him somewhere.

"Well, I already know basically everything about you," Brina said with a shrug. She knew things she didn't want to know. Plus, they were good friends -- basically best friends -- and it wasn't like anyone could deter her from being that. Brina was smarter than these lot, she knew when people were just blowing smoke and when they were trying to mess her up. "You couldn't get rid of me if you tried." She giggled, bumping her shoulder into his playfully.
Michael's brow furrowed but he dismissed the subject. He was pretty observant and he knew when people didn't want to talk about things or were avoiding things."Gotcha." He said before a beep came from his phone and he checked it to see the alarm he had set to remind himself to go to class. Sometimes he just gets caught up (by pretty girls). Michael downed the rest of his coffee and stood up, fishing in his back pocket to get his wallet and pull out money for his drink. "Thanks for the coffee, love," He said laid it out on the counter. "See you around." He said giving her a little wave and a warm smile as he ducked out of the cafe and into his car.

Josh laughed bumping back into her. This was what he enjoyed their platonic friendship and she didn’t get mad like his guy friends did if he slept with someone they liked. It was a nice friendship and she didn’t demand anything from him and didn't expect anything, she knew him and she didn’t hate him for who he was.
"Alright. Have a good day." Levy called waving before she took the cup to the sink. She was pretty sure that she probably wouldn't see him again but it was a nice thought. He was nice but she had things in life she needed to do and she couldn't let anything or anyone get in her way.

"It's really messed up how people would actually try to break up your relationship just because they think your hot." It was cruel and somewhat sadistic but that's high school. How was someone supposed to have a decent relationship, especially Josh, when everyone was trying to break them up? It wasn't like they were going to date him after being the ones to break him up. It was petty, honestly, and that's why Brina couldn't wait until college. It's also why she didn't date anyone.
A thin sheet of sweat made Michael's crisp white t-shirt stick to his skin, which glistened under the bright and colorful flashing lights of the club. A towel hung over his shoulder and his hair, which was usually slicked back and neat was messy and pieces hung over his forehead. He kept trying to fix it but it was Friday and the club was jam-packed so he was scrambling around making drink after drink and after awhile he just gave up. It happened basically every shift; he came in neat and fresh and at the end of the night his hair was messy and his skin was damp. He'd worked there for almost a year already so he was used to it. (Plus, the girls seemed to like the look)

"Ya I try not to imagine what goes on through people's minds or why they do the stupid things they do." Josh said simply with a slight shrug before leaning back in the chair. "Do you want to hang out later? I don't feel like hanging out with Kyle and the guys."
Levy rolled her eyes at Tyler as he pulled her into the club. Of course they'd made her dress in her tight black dress, her only pair of heels that weren't for work, and she had her makeup perfectly done and not looking like a hooked which she was proud of. They made their way to the bar with Trenton following behind them. They guys ordered their beers and Levy had to stop staring at the bartender and tugged on Trent's arm. Micheal knew she wasn't anywhere near drinking age and she wasn't sure what he would do and she didn’t really feel like finding out. "Maybe we should go somewhere else."

Brina made a small face as she snacked on her lunch. "Yeah, of course." She said with a smile. "Your house or mine?" She asked. Brina didn't mind who's house they went to just as long as she wasn't bored alone at home. She checked the time on her cell phone before tucking it into her pocket.
Michael was drying off his hands on the towel over his shoulder when a few people came up to the bar. It took him a moment to notice that the girl with them was Levy. She didn't look like a teenager in high-school, props to her. She was definitely eye candy, which bothered him considering that all the people in here were years older than her and would have no qualms about hitting on her. "And what can I get you, sweetheart, water, soda, soda water?" He teased with a playful smile. He wasn't about to call security just because she wanted to have a good time. However, Michael wasn't sure whether or not he was going to give her alcohol. A gorgeous underage girl full of alcohol was definitely an easy target even though she didn't seem underage. But Michael had gone to dozens of clubs when he was younger, too, so he was a bit stuck on the idea.

"How about my house?" Josh asked before stealing a carrot off her tray and popping it in his mouth with a smile. He frowned when he heard his phone buzz and a frown formed on his lips when he saw his friends laughing at his usual table. He ignored them and looked back at Brina. "Is that alright?" He asked, she was pretty much the only girl that he let come to his house he liked to keep most things away from home turf.
Levy rolled her eyes at Micheal but a small smile formed on her lips. "Haha very funny." She said elbowing Trent when he started to make a comment and she gave her very special 'shut the fuck up' glare and he did exactly that because he didn't plan on getting on her bad sad. "Can I get just a corona?" She asked she wasn't much of a drinker and she didn't really like fruity drinks it was either beer or hard liquor for her and she was was pretty sure he wouldn't let her drink hard liquor. She could hold her own pretty well and it took more than one beer to mess her up.

Brina made a small face playfully when he stole her carrot. "Yeah, sure," She nodded her head. Her brother was bound to have friends over and they always bothered her nonstop. A small frown befell her when she heard his phone buzz and then his friends laugh loudly. They didn't exactly like or approve of Josh being friends with her... social suicide or something along those lines. When Josh turned back she wiped the frown off of her face and replaced it with a soft smile. "Of course."
Michael chuckled. "I thought so," he commented more to himself than her. He stood there watching her and her friends amused. He wasn't exactly surprised she basically had them wrapped around her finger. When she ordered a corona he snapped back into the conversation. He hesitated but eventually got her the bottle and removed the lid off of it and tossing it aside and into the trash. He was glad she didn't ask for harder liquor because he definitely would not have complied. Michael had no qualms against saying no, even to girls with pretty faces like hers. It was actually amusing because a lot of them always got what they wanted. "Careful, love, I have nothing against kicking your ass out of here." Michael warned. He would throw her over his shoulder if he had to. He might be something of a player but that didn't mean he didn't care about people. He wasn't going to let her get wasted and throw herself all over the club endangering herself and his job.

"Okay. Then meet me by my car after school?" He asked tilting his head to the side slightly. He really didn't care what his friends thought Brina was one of his oldest friends and he wasn't going to let some dicks talk him out of it just because she didn't quite fit in. That was one of the things he liked about her that she didn't really fit in and she didn't care.
"I know how to handle myself. This isn't my first time in club." Levy said as she took a drink of her Corona. That was one thing she didn't like about just about anyone they seemed to think that she would get completely drunk and make a fool of herself. Unlike most girls she didn't need to get shit faced t have a good time

"Gotcha!" Brina said with a little two finger salute and a stern face before it faded into her usual smile. She was always doing silly things like that. The bell rung and she made a face before gathering up her things. "And now for math; pray for me!" Brina joked as she pulled her backpack up her shoulder. "I will see you later," she said with a poke to his side and a giggle.
"Because that's comforting," Michael commented with an eye roll. He was more worried that someone might try to take advantage of her not that she couldn't hold her own. He gave her a once over before scanning the bar. It wasn't bursting with people (that usually happened tomorrow once it was fully the weekend) so he could hang on this side of the bar for a while. Michael kept an eye on Levy, although he tried not to make it too obvious because he didn't think she'd take too nicely to that.. . So he was discreet and went on with his job and made drinks and flirted here and there and smiled and brushed his messy hair back a few more times.

"You'll do great." Josh promised as he stood up heading out the door to his next class. His eyes on Brina for a moment hoping that no one would bother her. She was just helping him out and she was the only girl he trusted not to go all psycho on him.

    ---

Levy rolled her eyes as she finished her beer. She slipped away from the counter to dance that was really what she had come to do. She danced with a couple of of guys before Tyler kinda took over he was always just a little bit over protective but she got used to it until he got a little out of hand she pulled him back to the bar glaring at Trenton. "You're both wasted." She hissed annoyed at the two. She was tired of having to take care of them but she did it anyways because they'd taken care of her though it was still annoying.

Brina gave Josh a large smile before turning and walking her way to class. She managed to slip through the crowd fairly easily without anyone shoving her or knocking her things down or anything else as cruel. When she arrived at her math class she was stunned to realize that none other than Carla shared her class. It was something she hadn't noticed, mainly because Carla wasn't on her radar and Brina wasn't on Carla's radar. They existed in separate cliques and never had anything in common... until now. She tried to slip in unnoticed and get to her seat but she was sure that Carla noticed her considering she wasn't very suave about it. Luckily, Brina didn't sit in front of Carla or she was sure that she would throw paper balls at her. It just seemed like something she would do. However, she got a harsh glare from the girl before she bent over to whisper to the few friends she had in the class... or at all. It was weird, foreign even, to have someone talking about her and whispering about her. No one ever cared enough about her until she was "dating" Josh. Thankfully, they didn't say anything to her face probably because they were afraid of Josh confronting them about it. It wasn't like Brina would do anything. She was shy and kind, nothing like the little beasts that were in front of her. She got through the class, however, in one piece and got done with all her work. However, she did have a large study guide and worksheet to prepare her for Friday. That might've been worse than having someone whisper about her... though she actually cared about school and her grades but Carla? Not so much.

When the bell rung, Brina practically ran out of the classroom to remain unscathed. She grabbed her things and bee-lined it for Josh's car in the parking lot. She was so happy to be leaving school.
Michael occasionally glanced at Levy to make sure no one was hitting on her (which here was more like berating her with comments hoping she was drunk enough to think they were cute). There were a few moments when he might've gotten sidetracked with her dancing that he forgot what he was doing... he wasn't about to admit that though. Michael Callaghan didn't get flustered by girls, especially high school girls. But, hell, she was a great dancer and she wasn't all over the place or over the top about it either. She was having a good time. Michael liked that. Not too many girls came to the club just to have a good time, at least none of the girls he knew (he needed to meet knew girls). He went back to his job, which was currently wiping down the counter where a few spills where and not snooping on Levy and her friends.

Josh last class went by pretty fast. Though he was aware of the girls staring at him and tried to get out of there but as soon as the bell rang they were around his desk. He was pretty certain he'd already told these girls he was dating someone. "So we were wondering if you could give us a ride." One girl asked she was a busy red head that he was pretty sure he'd already been with and there was a reason he had only slept with her once and not quite remembered much except that she was particularly clingy but he'd managed to get rid of her on his own he just had to sleep with one of her friends. "I'm not a car service." He stated as he stood grabbing his books and trying to move around them. "Well we wanted you to co-" He cut her off before she finished. "I told you earlier I'm with someone and I have plans. So no and bye." He said annoyance evident in his voice as he moved around them and left to go to his car. "Sorry it took a little while I was surrounded. How was math?" He questioned as he unlocked the door opening up the door for her before going to his side to get in tossing his books in the back.

    ---------

Levy frowned as her friends didn't seem to pay attention to what she was saying. She looked up as Micheal passed by. "Can I get water for these two?" She asked with a slight sigh. It happened enough for her to not be angry about it. "And cut them off." She added when she felt Tyler's arm around her waist. She knew he kinda had a thing for her but most of the time he didn't try anything when he was wasted he didn't care and would constantly bug her about it. It wasn't like he wasn't attractive and sweet but she just didn't feel it he was more like a somewhat annoying brother to her. "I'll get them out of here in a minute the water is just something to distract them with while I figure out how to get them in the car." She stated removing Tyler ' s hand as he attempted to slip it lower. "Even if I was drunk it wouldn't happen." She said her eyes on him. "If I haven't said it yet I'm sorry for these two."

Brina noticed Josh walking out of the school building and felt relieved. She was hoping that no one would approach her but waiting by his car was risky business. She watched him converse with a flock of girls who had practically ambushed him the moment he walked out of the building and into the parking lot. Brina waited patiently considering she couldn't hold it against him that he was beautiful enough to put the girls into a sort of frenzy. "Oh yeah, I could tell." Brina joked as she got into the car and put her bag in the back with all his stuff. She took a moment to answer when he asked her about class, debating on whether or not she should tell him about Carla being in there and spreading her gossip. She decided not to, "Oh, it was fine." However she was a terrible liar any day of the week and it didn't help that Josh had grown up with her and knew all her tells and ticks. "Just math... boring as ever." Brina continued. "How was your class?" She said trying to turn the subject back to him so he didn't berate her or notice that she had lied. It was always easier to just change the subject.
Michael nodded and grabbed two bottles of water for the two drunks and slid them across the counter to her. He didn't fail to notice Levy's friend getting a little touchy with her, which didn't sit right with him. He didn't mention anything simply because he was pretty sure she wouldn't appreciate him yelling at her friend. Although, when his hand started dipping lower, "Why don't you keep your hands to yourself, kid." It was more of a reaction than anything. Michael had gotten into his fair share of fights with guys that were trying to grope some girl that obviously wasn't into it. He was protective of just about every girl that walked in the door. "Here, let me help," He didn't give her time to decline or even accept the offer before ditching the towel over his shoulder and calling his friend over to take his position. Michael ducked around the counter to where she was standing. "I'll take touchy-feely here," He said with a nod before taking the kid off of her and wrapping the kid's arm around his shoulder. It was a little weird considering that he was a lot taller than the kid was but it wasn't like he was holding his hand or carrying him out of there bridal style. "I work in a club, sweetheart, I've encountered my fair share of drunk people. You're alright." Michael assured her. He had countless stories of drunk people doing stupid shit. This didn't come close.

"Apparently they don't really care that I have a girlfriend." Josh said with a slight laugh as he started the car. He caught her lie it was easy for one she was a horrible liar and he knew her tells so well but he also knew her enough to know when she didn't feel like talking about something. "It was alright I guess, I really didn't pay much attention it was English." He said with an eye roll as he started driving glancing at her for a moment before his eyes were back on the road. He knew she was pretty that was a given and if most people looked at her they'd probably be all over her but most didn't notice just because she was more of a book worm and less social but he supposed he only saw it because he knew her and maybe if he didn't he wouldn’t have even noticed her but somehow he found that unlikely.

    ----

"Thanks, I stopped them before they got worse though." She said as she walked with Tyler though he was more using her to stay on his feet. He stayed silent just watching her with a stupid and slightly smug grin on his lips. She knew he had something to say by that look and she'd hear it when they got alone. "Try to stand on your own feet. I'm gonna fall over." Levy said with a sigh as she elbowed him in the ribs. He finally did more than just lean on her and she could finally stand semi straight. "Keys." She said as the got to the car , Tyler handed her the keys and she let him in the front and buckling his seat belt she didn't trust him to do it himself and him in the front was better because she did not really wanting to be groped by Trenton at the moment. "Thank you." She said opening up the back seat. "I'm sure you've seen worse but still these guys are a little intolerable at times." She said looking directly at Trenton. "But I love them. So not really much I can do but put up with it."

Sabrina gave a small silent laugh, "Apparently." She said quietly. Relief washed over her when he started talking about his English class. She just didn't want to upset him and it wasn't really anything, just girls being rude. Brina laughed again when he mentioned English. He wasn't that involved like she was in his studies. He was smart but he wasn't..... nerdy like she was. When he glanced over at him she stuck her tongue out at him childishly before turning to look at the road in front of them. "So, what do you want to do today? I mean I have tons of homework but we just got out of school and even I don't want to do it." After 8 hours of school she was ready for a break, even if it was just watching boring television.
Michael grunted in reply to whatever she said as he was too busy practically dragging her friend out of the club and to the bar. Luckily, he wasn't that heavy and Michael wasn't out of shape. He shoved the kid into the backseat of the car and even buckled him into his seat before shutting the door on him. He suddenly remembered that Levy had been drinking as well. "I'm not really sure about you driving them home. Considering you are underage and I knew it and you had a few drinks." He tried to write it off as not wanting to get her in trouble or him in trouble but he really just didn't want her to get into an accident or drive home with two drunken idiots who didn't know how to keep their hands to themselves. "I can call a cab or something." Michael ran his hand through his hair before he crossed his arms as he stood a few inches away from her. Even in a pair of heels she was almost a full head shorter than him.

"I don't know what do you feel like doing? " Josh asked as he pulled up into his driveway looking at her. His house was empty but it wasn't unusual it was pretty much just him most of the time his parents were away on business most of the time. He got out of the car grabbing Brina's stuff before heading into the house waiting for her at the door.
Levy sighed softly at his comment. "I didn't even finish the beer but if you'd feel better I can call someone to drive the car back. I can't leave it here he's my ride to work tomorrow and I'm not walking five miles." She stated as she pulled out her phone not really wanting to call him but she would. Maybe she could pretend to sleep to get out of talking to him.
