Vella stood under the water spray from the shower, trying to almost waste time. She really didn't want him to be there when she was done. He had to have known that it was time for him to leave now. So they had a night full of sex. So what. There was no way she was his first sexual partner- Vella froze. Was she his first sexual partner? Was that why he was still here? He expected more? "Shit."

Logan
Logan laughed, "Leah, I don't think you can hit hard enough to wake me," He teased her, tugging a little on her hair, "But we'll change that." He gave her a little smile, "We'll start you off easy, but as you catch on we'll probably test you more."

The longer she stayed in the shower, the more restless he got. Rooting through her clothes wasn't as much fun if she didn't come out and catch him at it, and he could only stare at the same pair of underwear for so long. Sighing, he set the garment down and rolled off the bed. Time for a shower, then.

It took her a moment, but she eventually figured out what he was saying. She sighed, but didn't protest. She didn't really want to learn how to fight, but if it would make Logan not worry about her as much, she'd do it. "What if I just screeched in your ear?" She teased, ignoring the comment for now. "I can be pretty loud when I want to!"

Vella was just rinsing off the shampoo in her hair when the bathroom door opened. The room was so small already, but when Oberon entered Vella felt the space become even more cramped. It didn't help that the shower door was just a glass frame. She stared at him with wide eyes, then sighed, "Please tell me that last night wasn't your first time." She said, blunt and forward as always. It hadn't seemed like his first, since he'd been pretty confident...

Logan
Logan laughed, "Well, that might work," he said, grinning up at her, "But that means you can still breath.... Which is something that might not happen if I'm crushing you under me...'

He blinked, completely thrown. That hadn't been the response he'd been looking for. "My first...?" His jaw dropped. "Vella, I'm twenty-seven. I'm a shifter. I lost my virginity when I was fifteen. What in the world made you think last night was my first time? Was I that bad? I wouldn't think so, considering how much you liked it!"

Leah opened her mouth, then closed it. She narrowed her eyes at him. "Okay, that might be true, but shush! I could so wake you up! I'd scratch you! Or bite you! I wouldn't want to, but I would!" She huffed, sitting up and crossing her arms over her chest as she looked away, pouting.

Vella laughed at the look on Oberon's face, shaking her head as the tension released from her shoulders, "No, no. Nothing like that." She set the bar of soap on the tiny little shelf and resumed her shower, "No, you were just... still here when I returned. Most guys leave once they realize the night is over and done with... but there you were, on the bed, grinning." She shrugged, "So that's the first thing that popped into my head."

Logan
Logan laughed, trying to hold it in but failing miserable. He reached out and running his fingers over her back, trying to sooth her as he continued to lay there, "I'm sure you would, Leah. And I'd probably wake up because I wouldn't want to hurt you..." He was still laughing a little.

He stared at her a minute, open mouthed. Then, abruptly, he started laughing. There wasn't room in the tiny shower to double over, so he braced himself up with one arm, water pouring down his face as he laughed harder than he had in longer than he could remember. The years seemed to wash away with the water, taking away the stress and lines his captivity had given him. "You thought...you expected...!" He let out a hoot, unable to get the words out. Eventually he straightened, eyes sparkling as he smiled. "Vella, you do realize, I'm a cat. I make my own rules. Besides, Leah's not back yet. Meaning she and Logan are probably still asleep." He shook his head, still boggled by the unlikeliness of the two of them. "And I don't know about you, but I'd rather let sleeping bears lie. Plus," he paused, giving her a wicked grin, "it gives me a chance to snoop."

Leah huffed again, refusing to look at him as she pouted. "Meanie." But she couldn't help the way her mouth twitched as she peeked at him out of the corner of her eye. "Like you would ever hurt me. You're too sweet." Her pout broke and she smiled brilliantly. "Just like honey."

Vella stared at Oberon as he laughed, trying to fight a smile and failing. When he laughed... it was like there was nothing else in the world that mattered in that moment, like the past and future didn't exist, only that present... but then he mentioned snooping. Her smile faded, eyes narrowed, and her arms crossed over her chest while she stared up at him as he crowded her, "What do you mean, 'snooping'?"

Logan
Logan snorted, "Yeah, right." He shook his head, "You do realize that I just don't care about most things and that's why I'm so 'sweet'?" He reached his hand up and tugged on her hair, "There's a reason why everyone here is afraid to piss me off."

There it was. He gave her a look out of the corner of his eye. "Oh, nothing, just curious about what kind of underwear you have." He said, far too innocently. "You haven't been here that long, but you haven't unpacked yet. What else was I supposed to do while I waited? I get bored all too easily, you know."

She moved with the pull, continuing to giggle. "You tell yourself that. But I know the truth. You're just a big, cuddly, teddy bear. No matter how big and nasty you might look, you wouldn't hurt a fly unless there was a very good reason." She leaned down and hugged him, though his chest was so broad it was more like laying down on his and stretching her arms spread eagle.

Vella's eyes narrowed even more - if that was possible - as she glared up at him, "You could have left - like a normal guy does - and not gone through my stuff. And I wear normal, comfortable underwear, thank you very much." She smirked, deciding to play a little with him, "Besides, I only save the really raunchy panties for special partners."

Logan
Logan chucked, shaking his head, "Keep thinking that, Leah. You'll be shocked if I ever do care enough about something to get mean." He idly rubbed her back, adding in little circles and swirls to the motion, "By the way... you think Oberon stayed over at your RV? Because I don't remember him coming back to this one..."

"But I'm not a normal guy," he said innocently, tilting his head and widening his eyes. "My mommy says I'm special. But my brothers always said I was a little shit. I just like sticking my nose into things." He grinned wickedly at her. "Special, huh? Now, how do I join that club?"

Leah looked down, suddenly blushing as she remembered last night. "Oh, I believe you," she said, suddenly shy. She didn't think he cared about her more than anyone else, it had just been his protective instincts kicking in, but still. It would be nice to dream. At the mention of Oberon, however, she frowned. "You're right," she said, sniffing. "His scent isn't fresh, he hasn't been back. Maybe he did..." Her eyes widened suddenly. "He better not have gone through my stuff!"

Vella laughed, shaking her head as she finished soaping the skin on her arm, starting to rinse it, "Hmm... well, first off, don't stick your nose into things where it doesn't belong." she teased, "Which includes all of my things." When she was done she turned to him, frowning now that she realized just how much space he took up. She was squished to the very far corner, "Why are yo in here, by the way?"

Logan
Logan snorted a laugh, shaking his head, "Oh, I doubt he's going through your stuff." He grinned at her, "He's been strutting around Vella since he got his first whiff of her. So if he hasn't returned I'm pretty sure he was snooping through her stuff if you know what I mean." He wagged his eye brows to the full effect.

He sighed dramatically. "I'll try, but it's against my nature not to snoop. As to why I'm in here, it's water." He looked at her as if the answer should be obvious. "What did you expect? Plus, you're here. Two things I like. I'm a creature of impulse. I want it, I get it. And I want this."

Leah chirped in embarrassment, hands flying up to cover her burning cheeks. "Oh, my god! That's...that's...I don't want to think about that in my home!" She rolled away, thumping onto the floor and onto her back. She curled up, squealing in embarrassment. "What if...I have to sleep there! I don't want to smell that!"

Vella's brow rose, "You want... what? You've listed two possible things... but then didn't finish what you wanted." She crossed her arms over her chest, "What if I made you choose? Water or me? Then what would you do." She shook her head, a smile on her face as she patted his chest with the flat of her hand, "You better choose water... cause that'll be way more constant in your life than I am. Now, I need to dry off and get dressed."

Logan
Logan blinked as Leah suddenly disappeared off the bed. He shifted closer and looked over the edge at her, "Uh... you could still sleep here..." He said, "I mean, if it's that bad." He tilted his head as he studied her, "You do know that you're probably the only one who thinks of sex in human terms... right? Aside from the real humans that are here, of course... which mean's you're the only shifter who thinks of sex in the human terms..."

Oberon chuckled. "Is that so?" He murmured under his breath as he backed out of the tiny shower. Vella honestly thought she was in charge here. Well, she could think that for a while longer. She'd learn the truth soon enough. He gave his head a shake, flinging water everywhere. It was a very short shower, but at least he'd had fun. And pushing her buttons was certainly fun.

Leah paused at the reminder of yet another thing that alienated her from her own people. Her hands dropped to her lap and she looked down at them. "You're right. There's nothing wrong with it," she said firmly, to herself or to him she wasn't sure. "It's absolutely normal and nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about. It's nature and we all do it."

Vella watched Oberon suspiciously as he backed away. She finished her shower, rising off quickly. She snagged her towel, rubbing the thing, raggy thing over her body. Once she was dry she grabbed the pile of dirty clothes on the floor and slipped past Oberon. She tossed them into another growing pile in the corner of her room, then pulled some clean ones from her suitcase, "At least you didn't toss my clothes all over the place." She pulled her panties on, then grabbed her bra.

Logan
Logan reached out and wrapped his large hand around hers, squeezing gently, "Hey, it's also ok to be a bit... overwhelmed by it." She tilted his head a little so that he could more easily meet her gaze, "Leah... have you ever... uh.... hmmm." Odd. He couldn't seem to get the words out. Words that he'd never had problems saying before. Of course, as his mind latched onto the direction of their conversation Logan couldn't help but to picture her... far more underdressed than she was at this moment. That was his problem. When had he stopped thinking of her as more of a little sister? Shit.

Oberon unashamedly watched her go by. "That would just be rude. Don't worry, I put everything back where I found it." He grabbed Leah's towel, fully aware that she'd have a fit when she smelled him on her possessions. It was one of the few things about her that was wholly feline, rather than warped by her unfortunate upbringing. Lord knew he was the same way. He hated when other people messed with his things.

She froze at his hands on hers. She looked up at him, confused. "Have I ever what?" She tilted her head, trying to think of whatever Logan could be talking about. "Sex?" She asked, determined to be shifter about it. Taking a breath, she bulled forward. "Yeah. Some of the humans think it's exotic or whatever, so whenever they do something to please Richard, he well...he sends me over. Shifters too." She didn't particularly enjoy it, but she was a female, after all. Sex was for men, not women.

Vella shook her head and finished dressing before she placed her hands on her hips and looked at him, "You're still here." She said, eyes narrowing, "Why are you still here? You've had your fun, sex filled night. Now it's time for you to go." She couldn't understand it, most men would kill to be in this situation, "There's no strings, Kitty-Cat. We both wanted to enjoy last night, and we did... so why are you still here?"

Logan
Logan froze, going predator still as his eyes hardened and met her gaze, "What?" He said, tone of voice exceedingly calm, "He's sold you to others?" Logan made sure to pronounce each word, to talk slowly, as he felt his bear rise. Little shocks of light began to spark from the collar, but he hardly noticed, his mind locked on the words she'd spoken.

He ignored her, continuing to dry himself. She needed to do some serious reading on felines. He wanted to be there to see her face when she realized that once a cat chose you, you were stuck with him. And he'd chosen her. Not for forever, no, but for now. She could try to boss him around all she wanted, for all the good it would do her. He grabbed his clothes from the night before and dressed. "Come on," he said, heading to the door. "If we don't hurry, we'll be late for the Saturday show. Saturday is the big day, we need to be at our best." He paused at the fridge, pulling out some lunch meat for a quick makeshift breakfast.

"Logan!" Leah squealed in alarm at the sight of the sparks coming from his collar. "What's wrong?! Your collar!" She jumped to her feet, pacing as she tried to think of what to do. His collar was malfunctioning! They had to fix it before Logan was hurt! What if it shocked him, or worse! "We need to find Richard, your collar is sparking!"

Vella shook her head as she followed him out of the RV. Not only did he seem to want to overstay his welcome... but he also raided her fridge. What if she'd been planning to eat that? Now she'd never know... still, she followed, shaking her head the whole while, "How do you propose we bring up the whole 'new show' idea to him?"

Logan
Logan hadn't realized his collar was sparking until Leah pointed it out. It was then that he felt the pain. He too in a deep breath and shoved back what she'd said. He couldn't focus on that now, not with how angry he was becoming. At this point someone was liable to die. Either Richard by Logan's hand... or Logan by the damn collar. So he took a minute, then reached out and took her hand back into his, "Wait, I'm fine." His voice was gruff, harsh, "But, Leah, if he ever tries that again... I want you to come to me, okay? You no longer have to... service Richard or others in that way. Understand?"

Oberon sauntered out of the RV and headed towards his own to pick up clean clothes. "I'd say after this weekend's show. So probably Monday or Tuesday, since those are our days to rest. Richard hates it, but he recognizes that we shifters need breaks and time to recover with how grueling the scheduled is. Three days of multiple shifting in a row leaves us pretty useless, especially without proper time to rest in between or enough protein, neither of which we get. So we get two days to rest, then do takedown Wednesday, travel overnight to the next location, setup Thursday, then do it all over again."

She paused, stopping to look back at him when he caught her hand. Worry lines framed her eyes and lips, wrinkling her forehead as she frowned at him. She didn't want him to get hurt. "You're sure?" She asked, doubtful. She trusted him and all, but really, this was no laughing matter. At his next words, though, she blinked in confusion. "Huh? No, Richard never, you know. He thinks it's disgusting, we are animals after all. Now come on, we need to get ready for the morning show. I still have to go get a clean outfit from my RV and have some breakfast, remember?" It was sweet of him to say those kinds of things, but really, what could he do about it? Besides, that was just the way things were. It wasn't like she was the only one, right?
