Lila relaxed as he started towards her. She moved over to him and wrapped her arms around him and buried her face in his chest. "I don't like his friends." she said as she breathed him in. "He's different around his friends." she said and then looked up at him. "You left me with them... I didn't know what else to do." she said. It was obvious she was changed from what had happened to her with Chris at the party. Before she would have told them what was what and exactly how she felt now she was afraid to stir waves.

Mikkie nodded, "Yeah I've noticed, I don't like them either," he said as he wrapped his arms around her. He held her close, "want to just lie down with me, until they leave?" he asked softly. He didn't really feel like facing them either. He smiled weakly, "I won't leave you with them again, I just panicked was all," he added,

Lila nodded as he asked if she wanted to lay with him until they left. She squeezed him tighter as he told her he wouldn't leave her again. "It's okay I understand." she said. She knew he was doing his best and in high school he wouldn't have even come back out to get her. It was progress. They had made so much progress together.

Mikkie smiled and kissed her cheek. "Come on," he said softly as he walked towards the bed, holding her hand. He was glad she seemed more comfortable again, now that Chris wasn't right with her. He just wondered how long Chris' friends would be staying for.

Lila moved into bed with him and curled up into his chest closing her eyes. "Let's call your parents in a bit." she said knowing that would be good for them.

Mikkie put his arms around her and nodded gently, "yes that sounds like a plan," he said softly. He closed his eyes, relaxing with her.

Once they were calm again Lila sat up and kissed him. "Okay get out your phone." she pushed her cold toes against his leg. "Should we tell me I am pregnant yet? I don't really want to tell them how complicated it is." she said and bit her lip. She had always liked his parents more than her own. It wasn't that her parents weren't good they just weren't involved like Mikkie's parents were.

Mikkie sat up with her, he pulled his phone out. "How about we just keep it simple for now," he suggested. He put his arm around her, "we can tell them when you are ready," he told her.

He kissed her cheek as he rang his mother, "Heya Mom," he greeted

Lila smiled and nodded as she snuggled into him. As Mrs. Thomson answered the phone Lila smiled. "Hello Mrs. Thomson." Lila said. Karla Thomson loved hearing from her son that was away from college and didn't hear from him often enough. "Michelangelo, Lila. What a treat! How are you kids?" she asked and Lila smiled. "We're good, we thought we should call." she looked over to Mikkie and kissed his cheek.

Mikkie blushed as she kissed him on the cheek again. He covered the phone receiver for a moment, "should we tell them in person? They only live like an hour away?" He whispered softly.

"College has been good mom, keeping up with our studies," he said over the phone

Lila nodded at his suggestion. "We're planning to come down there for the long weekend and spend some time with you both." she said and Karla shouted out to her husband. "Ben! The kids are coming down next weekend!" Lila smiled at Mikkie. "Mikkie and Lila?" he asked in the background and you could hear him him moving closer. "Yeah. Oh honey that is so exciting. Lila I know you've been trying to decide your major any luck yet?" Karla asked and Lila smiled. "Not yet still exploring classes." she said. "Nothing wrong with that you're so young. Michelangelo how are you getting on in the classes? Lila has been helpful to you with that too?" she asked knowingly.

Mikkie smiled, "Hey Dad, yeah, I'm doing alright with classes, having Lila around helps a lot," he said softly. He took her hand lightly, "so next weekend will work for you both?" he asked. He was excited to see his parents again, it had been too long. He looked at Lila with a wide grin, "should we bring anything?" he added.

"Yeah it will. Bring potato salad, we'll have a barbecue." Ben said. Lila smiled. "I'll make some." she said. "Great we'll see you then." Karla said. They talked a while longer Lila resting her head on Mikkie's chest. Once they got off Lila looked at Mikkie. "I love your parents." she said and leaned in kissing him. She wondered if one day Mikkie would want to be more than just boyfriend and girlfriend. Would he ask her to marry him some day? She really hoped so she wanted to be a Thomson and she wanted to be with Mikkie. "You know we're gonna have to stop my my folks house while we are down there." she said hoping it would be one of the many weekends they were never home.

Mikkie smiled and nodded, saying goodbye before hanging up the phone. "I know, they are so lovely," he said softly. He kissed her cheek, "It's only fair, besides I haven't seen them in far too long as well," he said. He pulled her close, "so do you think Chris' friends have left?" he asked curious, as his hand roamed over her body slowly.

Lila smiled softly and and relaxed into Mikkie. He asked about Chris's friends and she shrugged humming as he hand moved over her body. "Go check and if they're gone I'll take that offer you made earlier in the park." she said.

Chris was drunk with his friends but they had moved on from the video games to a movie eating pizza on the couch. He hated knowing lila was in there with Mikkie. What did Mikkie have that Chris didn't? He hated that little twirp excuse for a man.

Mikkie smiled and nodded softly, "okay I'll go check," he said softly kissing her cheek. He shifted and climbed off the bed. He headed out to the kitchen pouring himself a drink of water. When he saw Chris was drunk with his friends still here, he felt dejected.

He made his way back to Lila, "still here, and Chris is drunk," he said softly.

Chris saw Mikkie and called out to him. "When you going to join us pansy?" he called in a slur as Mikkie walked away.

Lila frowned as Mikkie came back telling her that Chris was drunk and his friends were still here. She patted the bed next to her. "Come cuddle with me." she said hoping he wouldn't be to disappointed but she just wasn't comfortable around Chris's friends.

Mikkie rolled his eyes and just kept walking. He walked into the room, and climbed onto the bed. "sure," he said softly. He kissed her cheek, "I don't like having his friends here," he said lightly. He put his arm around her, "they make me uncomfortable," he said

Lila snuggled up against him and wrapped her arms around him. "Me too." Lila whispered. "But we can't tell him not to bring them around, this is his home now too. At least for a while." she said closing her eyes as she leaned against him.

Mikkie nodded softly, "yeah I know, but you know me, I need my own space," he said. He held her tight, and relaxed back into the bed, "I'm looking forward to next weekend," he said softly, "perhaps we could spend the night down there?" he suggested.
