She nodded a little and mushed a piece of notebook paper in his direction, "Thats all I can think of,"

He sighed a little as he drove racing around the track.

I sighed a little as I watched him. I regretted ruining the first date, though I'd probably never admit it. I also knew he probably hated me, so there was no chance to fix it anyway.

"Alright," He said, looking at the paper. "Anything you might be missing? We could add stuff, would they know the difference?" He asked with a small laugh.

She laughed,"Probably not," she said to him with a small smile.

He sighed as he slammed on his breaks when he finished the lap - he laid his head against the rest then rubbed his face.

I looked over and sighed, seeing him stop right next to me. "Look, I'm sure you already hate me, but I'm sorry for what I said. I doubt apologizing will make a difference, but in any way, I'm sorry." I mumbled.

He laughed. "Alright, so what are some things you'd like?" He asked, holding up the pencil.

"Why are you sorry for something you obviously meant?" he asked her as he looked at her.

"No idea there are a lot of things I want," she snorted.

"Im apologizing for my actions, not my words. I doubt youd apologize for what you said either." She said.

"How about we start basics, new car and engine lifts?" He asked her

He shook his head, "I wouldn't," he said to her lightly.

She nodded, "alright, sounds good,"

"Exactly. It's just a shitty situation and from now on I'm going to do my best to stay out of your and exos way." She said to him.

He nodded a little, listing them. "You also probably had basic tools so we'll add those as well."

He nodded, "If thats what you want," he said to her.

She nodded a little, "I had a lot of things," she murmured.

"I feel like thats the only way things will get better. Things were fine before we crossed paths, and I think it may need to return that way." She said softly.

He nodded a little and sighed. "How about I make the list for you, and you trust me." HE said to her.

She looked at him, "Fine, and don't judge me; I didn't know the name of everything but I knew how to use it," she mumbled.

He nodded, "Like I said, if that is what you want,:

"Isn't that better?" She said to him. "Do you think anything good can come from it?"

"It good could come from it," he murmured, "Because I'm not racing anymore, it's a waste of my time," he told her.

She nodded al ittle and sighed a little.

"What? Why? I thought you raced for the fun anyway." She said to him.

He sighed a little. "Let's get out of here. Go for a drive?"

She nodded, "Sure," she murmured as she finished her drink.

"I figured you're worth more than anything racing could give me," he told her.

"I refuse to accept you giving up racing for me. Especially when you liked it so much." She said to him.

He nodded and stood, paying for the food and grabbing his keys. "Why don't yoou drive again?"

"Well its my decision, so I'm quitting," he told her, he was sure this was the right choice and there was nothing she could say to change his mind. At this rate his bank account was over flowing with the wealth from his trust fund, what did he need racing for? Definitely not income; it was a hobby, but if it meant having her in his life he was sure it was worth giving away.

"I don't know how," she said sheepishly as she looked at him, "It's just not something I ever felt the need to learn,"

"Okay, and I respect your decision. But I can't quit, I use the money to help support myself and racing is dangerous. Suppose I agree and we get toghether, whos to say I won't get hurt next week or sooner?"
