you didn't see that coming?

[i had this almost finished and I lost everything! ]

Pietro woke up in a strange unfamiliar place, it was cold and he was lying on an operating table. He of course reacted like most people would, frustrated and confused. He thought he had died, after saving Hawkeye and that child Prieto had blacked out. Weeks had passed since he had woken up and blacked out from wherever he was. Turns out SHIELD had picked him up and helped him get his act together. Wanda didn't know he was alive and he tried to tell everyone that she needed to know. "All in good time, we're going to let Steve know about this first and then we can proceed with your training." Maria Hill spoke before walking to get some paper work. Pietro sighed and decided he would do as he was told. It was for the best right? He'd get to see his twin sister soon enough, he hated that she had to go through that though. They had been through enough pain, but she wasn't alone. He'd always be her big brother, twelve minutes or not he was still older.

Amalia had been with SHIELD for a little over a year now. Well, what was left of it anyway. A few agents had infiltrated the Hydra base where Strucker had kept her along with the twins. She'd been separated from them long before that though, so it was no surprise that they'd found her and took her in. She didn't know what Strucker had told Wanda and Pietro though. She didn't know that, as far as they knew, she hadn't survived the experiments. The fact of the matter was, she had. Her abilities were what had really interested the agents. She was sure that they wouldn't have eventually brought her to the training base, after going through this whole screening process, they didn't know if they could trust her at first, but they soon learned that they could. It was only recently that she'd been brought to the training facility. Director Coulson had spoken with her, and made her an offer, one that she saw no reason to refuse. What else did she have anyway? She didn't have any family, the twins had been the closest thing that she had to that, and she hadn't seen either of them since she'd been separated from them. Of course, SHIELD knew of her connection to them. Maybe that was why Maria Hill had asked to see her. Apparently it was important, though Amalia didn't know what it could be. Personally, she and Hill didn't really see eye to eye. Amalia thought she kind of acted like she had a stick up her ass, and Amalia enjoyed cracking jokes from time to time, maybe that was why she and Tony Stark had gotten on pretty well when she met him that one time, she didn't really know. Regardless of that fact, she had no idea why Hill was "summoning" her so to speak.

Pietro sighed softly as he continued to run along the area checking everything out. Trying to clear his mind, it was hard to do after everything that happened after Ultron destroyed what was left of his home or most of it. He stopped for a moment to take a water bottle and drank some water. He wondered why so much secrecy with whatever was going on. Maria seemed a little uptight buT he was told most of the SHIELD agents wee like that, Avengers were clearly more laid back. Of course they didn't really follow anyone's order. He walked over and sat down where Maria had instructed him to do. Apparently he was getting a partner, Pietro had suggested Wanda many times but Hill had refused him and that pissed him off. He and his twin got along just fine why did he have to work with someone he didn't even know.

[That's the absolute worst!]

Amalia honestly didn't know what this was all about. Hill had said that it was important, but she hadn't really elaborated on what it was or what made it so important. Amalia knew better than to ask questions, she probably wouldn't get answers, or rather, she'd get answers but they wouldn't be useful ones. And that wasn't simply because Hill wasn't her biggest fan either, though that would probably play some kind of role either way. When she did meet up with Hill, she couldn't help getting a little impatient. "Are you at least going to tell me what this is about?" She asked as she walked with the woman. "Both Coulson and Fury think that you're the best person for a particular job. I'm not so sure that I agree with them, you've hardly started training, and we don't even know if you can fully control your abilities just yet, but what do I know?" Yeah, that answer definitely didn't clear things up...like at all. "Do I get to know what this job is?" She questioned, unable to help getting a bit huffy. This woman just really pissed her off sometimes. "You can see for yourself." She gestured ahead of them. Seated a few feet away was one of the last people she had expected to see. "Pietro..." She breathed.

Pietro was sitting waiting for his partner to come in. He sighed softly running a hand through his hair. He had been waiting for half an hour he looked at the clock and shook his head. Pietro was getting impatient he was about to leave when the door opens and he watched a young woman walk right in, he breathed in when he noticed the woman. "Amelia..? Is that really you?" He stood up and walked towards her slowly. "You're... Alive?" He asked softly wondering why she kept this from him and his sister. Then again, SHIELD apparently did this frequently so he shouldn't be surprised.

Amalia was honestly at a loss for words. She didn't understand what was going on. She was so confused, what was he doing here? "Why wouldn't I be?" She questioned, eyebrows furrowing together slightly in confusion. Why would he ask her if she was alive? Had he thought she was dead this entire time? Who had told him this? Did Wanda think so too? That's when it dawned on her, if Pietro was here, was Wanda as well? She had so many questions swirling around in her head right now, and she didn't really know where to begin.

Pietro stood there speechless trying to process this, his sister would be the same way about both of them."I thought you were dead... We all did. They told us you didn't survive the experiment.." He sighed. Pietro.was sure if he wanted to hug her or not he just stood there.

"What?" It made sense, though that didn't mean that it didn't anger her any less. Why would Strucker tell them that? Was he just not willing to admit defeat, to admit the fact that SHIELD had managed to infiltrate the base? Amalia supposed that it would make sense, that it was something that he wouldn't want to be made known. But why lie and say that she was dead? Why was that necessary? "I did survive...obviously. SHIELD has been keeping me safe."

Pietro stared at Amelia shocked how could Sturcker keep this from him and Wanda. He swallowed hard and stood in front of her, "I'm just so surprised as to why SHIELD didn't bother to tell me. Of course they haven't told Wanda that I'm still alive.. so I'm sure this Will shock her as well. " he walked closer to Amelia and pulled her into a hug it eas strange but he thought jt was necessary.

Amalia knew that the twins had probably shown more potential than she had. She could tell that Strucker was more interested in them and what the experiments would result in than he was her. Maybe defeat from SHIELD, in some way, shape or form hadn't been his reasoning at all. Maybe SHIELD taking her was no skin of his back. He'd still had the twins, and that was what mattered to him. Saying that she hadn't survived the experiments was probably the easiest excuse he could come up with for her disappearance. "I have not been here very long. Wanda...she's here too? What do you mean she does not know that you're alive?" Despite her obvious confusion, she responded rather quickly, hugging him back.

Pietro sighed softly, running a hand through his silver hair he wasn't sure what to say to Amelia. It had been a decade at least since he's seen her last. He looked qt her closely she hadnm grown into a beautiful woman. He looked at Maria Hill, Pietro sort of knew she wasn't fond of him or Wanda because of what they'd done to her friends. She wasn't as forgiving. "I was shot with the battle against Ultron and i almost didn't make it..."

Amalia was silent for a few moments. It didn't take her very long to piece things together though. "And she does not know that you did make it?" She asked, frowning slightly. She obviously didn't like that. Not one bit. She knew how important those two were to each other. Whose bright idea was it to keep them apart like this? Why was she finding out before anyone else was that Pietro was alive? More specifically, why was she finding out before his own sister?

Pietro sighed softly and shook his head, "no, shield refuses to tell her just yet. I miss my sister." Pietro and Wanda were very close and not just because they were twins they've always looked after one another. He walked up to Hill and asked when he could see Wanda, "you can't keep us apart we work better together" he mumbled and walked back. "So you're my new partner then?"

Amalia frowned. There was so much secrecy within SHIELD, that was something that she didn't understand, and she wasn't sure if she ever would. How could they keep something like this from Wanda? Pietro was the only family that she had left, and they were letting her believe that he was dead? That was horrible. She smiled slightly when he came back over to her a few moments later. "Looks like it."

Pietro huffed in frustration, he would find a way to inform his sister of his return some way. He smiled at Amelia, "I'm sure she'll be glad to see you again. I know I am" Pietro smiled at her. "So, I suppose we should start more training, I heard Hill talking to Coulson about Captain Rogers and Natasha Romanoff coming down here, can't be too sure, I'm sure they'd let my sister know that I'm still alive."

Amalia could tell that this was all very frustrating for Pietro. And with good reason too, SHIELD shouldn't be keeping this from Wanda, it wasn't right. She smiled slightly in response to his words. "I'm glad to see you too." She said. After being separated from the twins, she'd always wondered what had become of them. Now she had her answer, partially anyway. "They might not be able to break protocol. Until everyone is given the okay, they probably cannot tell your sister."

Pietro sighed he just wanted to see his sister again. He leaned against the wall wondering why Amelia was here she must be something speciall. She sleays was. "So besides being my partner why did SHIELD bring you do you now?" He was trying to get some answers and he wasn't getting any it was frustrating.

Amalia could tell that the main cause of Pietro's frustrations was not being able to see his sister. She knew how important Wanda was to him, and she certainly didn't blame him for being frustrated. This was honestly just getting really ridiculous. She didn't understand why there were so many secrets within SHIELD, it didn't make any sense to her at all. "Coulson thought I had potential, I guess." She punctuated her words with a shrug of her shoulders.

Pietro nodded as he listened to Amelia smiling every so often, "so tell me, what is it that you can teach me?" He asked with a grin. Leading the way to meet the other trainees, "apparently we've got a lot to learn from SHIELD and the Avengers." He crossed his arms as he was standing next to Amelia, "I'd like to know when I can see my sister, she'll be glad to see you" he nodded.
