Can't Put a Price on Love

Addie gasped a little when she saw the motorcycle and started to protest. "Oh no - I am not riding that." She said and took the helmet with low dignity as he handed it to her. She threw her leg over the side and leaned into him. She sighed and wrapped her arms around him, holding on tight as he sped around the town. It was crazy... She ended up laughing and enjoying herself - and she was really afraid of admitting that to him. She smiled lightly at him and took his arm, nodding her head. "Yeah... I guess so." She said and smiled up at him.

Taylor grinned down at Addie, using his free hand to smooth down his hair from the wind. He walked to the gate, handing the vendor a twenty and walking inside the fair. Taylor looked down at Addie and smiled. "So I know you had fun on the bike. Now fun on this first date of the day. Where to first?" He asked and glanced around at the various rides and games there were. He saw a game to win some giant stuffed animal and he went over there with her. "I'm gonna win you that giant stuffed turtle." He said and slapped a bill down to the woman. He took the three balls and tried, failing. Taylor frowned and tried again. He failed again. This went on for ten minutes. He had spent about $30 dollars by the time he finally won the turtle for Addie. He turned around with it in his arms and smiled like a proud child. "Here." He murmured and smiled holding it out to her. "What are you gonna name it?"

Addie smiled a little and shook her head. He was so smooth it was a little scary and she refused to let herself be carefree about this. She needed to act as if he didn't bother her and maybe he wouldn't try so hard to get her interested. When he dragged her over to the stuffed turtle she smiled. He had hit a nerve there - she loved turtles. That was a weakness to her and she couldn't help but smile as he tried again and again until he got it. She giggled and smiled, hugging him quickly before taking the turtle from him and then hugging that tightly to her body and smiled. She sighed and looked down at the turtle, shrugging. "Hmm, I don't know... Oliver!" She said with a smile and kissed the stuffed animal's head. "Ollie the turtle!"

Taylor grinned proudly when she hugged him and took the turtle. He was glad he had been able to get her to smile. "That's a cute name." Taylor murmured and moved to stand besides her. "I'm glad you like it. Where else do you wanna go next?" Taylor ask and put his arm around her nonchalantly, looking at Addie as she admired his win. He felt accomplished simply for winning it, but to woo the pretty girl, that was a plus.

Addie smiled up at him. She didn't push him away as he stepped closer to her and met his arm around her with just a shiver. "Um... I don't know - I don't get around to these places very often! Take me wherever you think is fun." She was opening up a little bit... This turtle was like a peace offering - and it made her feel safe with him. So she might as well try... There was no harm in that - yet she really wanted to prove him wrong. She then teasingly pushed the arm around her away and started walking.

Taylor chuckled and followed behind Addie quickly, soon walking in stride with her. "Well we could go to the pie eating contest, then go on some rides?" He suggested, stopping to look at a board which directed people to where the different activities were. He was glad she liked the turtle, as well as that she was opening to him,

Addie smiled lightly and nodded her head as she glanced over at him. She tried to put some distance between them but he caught up all too quickly and she didn't have much time to compose herself. "That sounds like a good idea. Do we get pie or just watch?" She asked win a giggle, licking her lips lightly and smiling.

Taylor nodded and led her towards the tent for the pie eating contest. "You wanna sign up?" He asked and wrote down his name. On the sheet, glancing up at Addie when he asked,holding the pen out to her. "If you sign up you get pie. If not you can watch me get pie." He said playfully.

Addie sighed as she took the pen and felt it with her fingers, biting her lip. "I don't know, I'm not much into the competition side of things." She said as she looked up at him. "Maybe you could just save me some instead." She said with a wink.

Taylor chuckled and shrugged, setting the pen down. "Suit yourself." He said and put a hand on her shoulder. "You can stand behind me and watch while I do." After a little while they called the people who had signed up toco,e to the table and sit. Taylor sat and looked around at the others who were competing against him. Most pies in 10 minutes. The flavones varied from rhubarb, cherry, and blueberry pie. As the official said go he began to devour the pies. Taylor was a good competitive eater.

Addie giggled a little and then caught herself and rolled her eyes. She sighed and nodded her head. "Fine - you gonna win?" She asked him with a smile and followed him up as he took his seat. She felt her heart flutter a little as she looked at him and before they called go, she reached down and pecked him on the cheek. She regretted it as skin as she did it but she smiled lightly and cheered along with the crowd.

Taylor hesitated a moment before going after she had kissed his cheek. He was shocked. But as soon as he began he was easily making his way through each pie. Him and another male were the two tied for first. As the time ticked down Taylor slowly began to inch ahead of him. Soon after the judge yelled stop he looked up, his face covered in filling form the rhubarb pie he had almost finished. Taylor looked up and grinned as they announced he won and gave him the $100 gift card. He stood and kissed Addie, getting the filling all over her face as well. "saved some for you." He teased

Addie smiled a little as she watched him and cheered him on, chanting his name a little as they went along. It was making her happy to watch him - he made her feel happy to be with him and she didn't completely understand that. She gasped a little at the end when she was pulled into his arms and he kissed her and she pulled away, licking her lips and teasingly, pushed at him. "Thanks - but did you have to share it that way?!" She asked and shook her head, giving him a slight scowl while she fought with her emotions of liking him and not liking him.

Taylor shrugged and chuckled, taking the towel he was offered and wiping the rest off of his face, then helping Addie wipe the rest off of hers. "I guess I could have saved you an actual pie. But that was more fun." He said and smiled at her. Leading Addie out of the tent and looking around the fair.

Addie sighed and shook her head as he helped her clean up. She kept her eyes anywhere but looking at him. She couldn't look at him. He was too distracting and she couldn't get the feeling of his lips off of hers. "I don't think so." She said, but she couldn't even convince herself of it.

Taylor raised an eyebrow at the comment. "Oh come on, I am a great kisser.what are you talking about?" He said and grinned confidently. Heading towards the exit. "Onto the next date sight." He said and walked or his motorcycle.

Addie licked her lips and shook her head. "So you think." She said as an insult - almost trying to be flirty but also tripping over words. Why did she like kissing him? "Fine with me, where's the next date sight?" She asked him, following him slowly.

Taylor shrugged and put his bike helmet on, handing the other to Addie. "Not sure yet." He said and climbed onto the bike. Once she was on with him he took off into town.

Addie put on the helmet cautiously and sighed, climbing onto his back. She wrapped her arms around his waist tightly and then leaned her head down on the part of her back that her head reached. "So typical - but I don't like surprises..."

Taylor shrugged and looked back at Addie smiling. "Suprpises in life can be a good thing though." He said and with that he drove off, this time he was heading out of town. Taylor was more excited this time, he was really hoping that she would enjoy herself and he could prove the preppy girl wrong. As well as score a second date. Taylor wasn't sure why he was so attracted to her, but he was, so why not try. Especially since this girl gave him a hard time. He had never had a hard time with girls, giving chase was fun.
