lmfao The same happened to me. I was using these super oily oil pastels though, and they were melting in the 40 degree heat while I was doing my final. My teacher was finally just like "let this dry, come back and finish it off tomorrow. You've handed it in, but I'll grade it on tomorrow's work".

Sounds like me, honestly. I have a to do list on my wall of everything I need to do before school goes back in two weeks, and not one thing is checked off. (There's 13, all of which have differing amounts of work included in them.)

    @ kitsch
    I always appreciate a Hemsworth. ~~ Lick

Great! We can travel the country and see the sights. And not get burned, eaten or mauled whilst we do so, yes?

As long as we live to tell the tales! Not that I know of. New Zealand is similar if you don't want the danger though. . . ?

HOW IS that something to be proud of? The fact that I gotta look at all the bills like a tourist to figure out wtf is what? lmfao
Plan for tonight: download all the music I've written in my notes, waiting for the time when I can be bothered to download new music. On the agenda: Avril Lavigne songs. I spent last night jamming to her old tunes and I am besotted with 15 year old grungy emo me lmfao

I know, right! Our bills are colourful as well and it makes life so much easier when you're trying to figure out what a twenty is. (Hint: it's purple) People just need to get on that boat with us and life will be good. tehe

    @ kitsch
See, we have plastic five pound notes now apparently (although I am yet to see one, I always get the shitty, falling-apart fivers made from paper) so we're totally getting in on this plastic money business. Although our coins are super-heavy as well, especially pound coins. I hate having pound coins in my purse. No

If I ever get the chance to, I would totally love to do that! Unfortunately, flights to the US are like a grand each so it's probably only going to happen when I make more money than I do just now. I've been saving for Florida for like a year now and I'm still nowhere near ready. lmfao

[double-posting because I hate when replies are on new pages eww ]

    @ dawn of light
I like Scottish money, but maybe that's because I'm used to it. lmfao This is the picture for comparison that I posted last night of a Scottish £10 note and a $5 note:

    Image

IDK, I just like our notes better. US dollars don't fit into my purse properly, these do. lmfao Although then again, English notes look better than Scottish notes (I'm so going to hell for saying that) because theirs look more professional than the Scottish notes. Currency. Rolling Eyes Although I do quite like the look of Canadian dollars so maybe I'd be okay with them? I hate Euros too. I just hate anything that isn't a pound-based currency because it confuses me. lmfao

    @ lonely girl.
Why is art so easily melty? lmfao I finished my design project in like 3 days because it was making stuff and I just went for it, but my expressive was re-done so many times. Luckily, we don't get any sun ever (Shifty) so nothing melted, but the paints we had were awful and took forever to dry, even for acrylics.

I don't even wanna think about everything I need to do before I go back to uni. Facepalm I'm glad I'm not alone though, haha!

BUT. WHY CAN'T WE DO BOTH. BE SELFISH ABOUT OUR PERSONAL GOALS.

    @ swell
lmfao I'm sure there's some explanation but I can't be bothered to find out what exactly. Everyone fumbles with different currency before getting the hang of it so there's that!

    @ nearly witches.
Japanese yen is so lightweight compared to American dollars and coins that it feels like Monopoly money to me. Twitch

Same with Guam to the US, so you're not alone. Facepalm Florida is pretty cool though considering there's actual sunshine there on a regular basis. Whistle You'll get there!

lmfao GOOD. I'm glad we all struggle like fools. Whoever the next pres of US is, get on it XD

    @ nearly witches.
I was going to say, 'oh man I wish we had a purple note, but we totally do and I suck and forgot XD Tbf though, I primarily use my card. I don't think I even have cash on me atm.

Euros are the same! I was so weirded out by how light my purse was in the Netherlands because their coins and stuff are so light compared to ours. Heavy money is no fun. No

Long flights are the worst. Rolling Eyes Yeah, I'm going to the one place where my skin is not going to cope. lmfao I struggle to stay cool during my own summer here so I don't know how I'll cope with theirs. lmfao I hope so! I'm trying to save at least £20 per month for the deposit in April, and then I'm just going to pay £100 every month until I get it paid off. I think we're paying £1,200 or something each for flights, the hotel and 2-week tickets for Disneyland and Universal. 100% just spending the whole time at Harry Potter World. File

    @ swell
Haha! We also have a pink note, I think, but it's a £100 and I've never seen a £100 in my life so I don't know if it's a myth or not. Yeah, I'm the same. I have about £14 on me because I had to buy a bus ticket with a twenty yesterday but I usually have next-to-no cash on me.
