"It might just be better if he heard it from someone who wasn't...you." From what Kat understood, Scott didn't trust Derek. Maybe if she talked to someone, being someone who he'd never met before but also someone who wasn't a werewolf, she might be able to get through to him. She didn't know if it would actually work, but she saw no reason why she shouldn't at least try. "I just think it's worth a shot. If I can't get through to him, you can try."

Stiles glanced over his shoulder when he heard Rebeckah's voice, eyes widening slightly when he saw what she was wearing. "Oh um, hey Rebeckah. Didn't see you there..." He didn't think he'd ever seen her wear something like this to school. It definitely caught him off guard to say the least. She looked hot. No, what the hell. He wasn't supposed to think something like that when it came to the girl that he was supposed to despite. That wasn't right at all.

Rebeckah opened up her locker and got out her books for first period before Stiles said something to her, "Hey Stiles." She said with a small smile. She noticed that Scott was looking between them with raised eyebrows before he just shook his head. Rebeckah thought it was odd, but she didn't say anything about it.

Derek laughed lightly at her words and nodded, "Well if Stiles is around him like he normally is, it's probably best if I don't talk to him." He said and then nodded at her later words, "Sounds like a deal." He replied. He knew that Kat had a way with words and that she would probably be able to get through to Scott more than he could.

"Then it's probably best that I talk to them." Kat said, punctuating her words with a quiet laugh. If those two truly didn't like Derek or trust him as much as he made it seem like they didn't, then her confronting Scott before Derek did would probably be for the best. She just hoped that she'd be able to get through to the kid. He sounded stubborn and hardheaded, but she could be very persistent and persuasive when she wanted to be.

Stiles was surprised by the smile the blonde sent his way, though he mustered up a small one in return. He hadn't been too sure if being civil towards each other was something that they'd actually chosen to give a try for the sake of this English project. Clearly it was though, and clearly it was something that was going to last for the duration of the time spent working on the project.

Rebeckah walked with Stiles and Scott towards their first period class, "So how was your night, Scott?" Rebeckah asked with a smile, "It was pretty good. And yours?" He replied. Rebeckah raised an eyebrow before glancing over at Stiles, "Well I worked until five, which was pretty boring. Then I went over to Stiles' house and we worked on the project."

Derek nodded at her words, "Yeah you're probably right." He admitted before he laid down on her bed, waiting for her to get dressed for the day, "You always took so long to get ready for something." He stated and sighed. He looked around the room in hopes to find something to entertain himself, obviously none of that would be available in a hotel room.

"Hey, do you want help talking to that kid or not?" Kat asked, punctuating her words with a raised eyebrow. "Because I'm pretty sure you aren't going to get anywhere with him right now seeing as he apparently has a very strong dislike for you. If I were you, I'd be quiet." She shot a playful glare his way before going back to rifling through her bag for a change of clothes. Once she found something suitable, she headed into the bathroom to get changed.

"How'd that go?" Scott asked, and Stiles suddenly felt like the conversation was being had as if he weren't actually there. He knew that Scott was trying to get information out of Rebeckah. He could see exactly what his friend was doing, but Scott was going to come up empty handed, because there was no information to truly be had.

Rebeckah could see what Scott was trying to get out of her, but the sucky part for him was that there wouldn't be anything to get out of her, "We worked on the project, ate diner food, and goofed off a little." She stated with a simple shrug of her shoulders. There wasn't much else to tell because that was literally all that happened.

Derek rolled his eyes at her words but kept quiet anyway. He didn't really care that it took her so long to get ready. It wasn't that important to him, but only because it was Kat. If it were anyone else he would have gotten frustrated and just left by now. But because it was Kat he stayed composed and he just waited.

"I caught that eye roll, Hale!" Kat called over her shoulder before shutting the bathroom door so that she could get changed. She knew that he probably would have lost his temper with anyone else. She knew that she was taking a while, but it wasn't like they'd be able to talk to Scott right now anyway. It was still early, she knew that the high school was still in session. The day wouldn't be over for a couple more hours at the least. Derek was just being impatient as per usual.

"Nothing else happened?" Scott pressed on, causing Stiles to roll his eyes and cut in. "Nope, nothing else happened. Rebeckah went home pretty early actually. We got done what we needed to get done and that was it." He said rather cooly. He didn't know what Scott thought he might get out of this but nothing had happened between him and Rebeckah last night. They'd done exactly what she told Scott that they had done and that was it. Nothing else.

Rebeckah nodded at Stiles' words, "What he said." She replied back before they walked into class and took their seats in their normal spot. She noticed the look that Scott gave her and Stiles both, but she chose to ignore it. Danny walked in and sat down next to Rebeckah and gave her an eye wiggle. She shook her head in response. Rebeckah knew what Danny was trying to get at and it was stupid for her to even justify him with a verbal reply.

Derek laughed and stuck his tongue out at her, "Good I was hoping you did." He replied back with another laugh. He looked around the room again while she was getting dressed, "You know you should lay out more things so I can entertain myself while I have to wait for you." He called so she would hear him through the bathroom door.

"I'm sure you can figure something out!" Kat called from the bathroom. She quickly got changed and started to do her makeup. She never wore much, just a little bit of tinter moisturizer, some eyeliner and mascara, so she really didn't think she was taking that long. Derek was just being a jerk. Not that that was new or anything. Once she finished getting ready, she walked back out and grabbed her shoes, slipping them on. "I really don't know why you're in such a rush, the kid's still in school right now."

Stiles walked into the classroom with Scott and Rebeckah, taking his usual seat next to Scott. He didn't know what his friend was trying to get at, but he definitely didn't appreciate it in the slightest. There was nothing going on between him and Rebeckah. There was no sexual tension between them that was for sure, and there never would be. He was just working with her on that stupid English project and they were being civil with each other so that they could get through it easily.

Throughout class, Rebeckah took notes and tried not to focus on the fact that Jackson kept staring at her. She didn't know what it was, but his stare was intimidating to her. Jackson really intimidated her period. He made her nervous period. She didn't know what it was about her. And it wasn't the kind of nervous she was around Stiles last night. It was different. Weird.

Derek rolled his eyes at her words before she walked out of the bathroom, "I'm not in a rush to talk to Scott. I'm in a rush to take you out to breakfast and then we are going to go look for what happened to Laura." HE stated with a small smile before he frowned at the thought of looking for Laura's killer or what happened.

"Well, why didn't you say something about breakfast sooner?" Kat countered, unable to help the small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. Then she noticed the frown on his face and knew that he was thinking about Laura and finding her killer. "Hey, we're going to find whoever did that to her, alright? It might not happen today, but we'll find them." She wasn't going to let him do any of this alone, and she was glad that he was allowing her to help because she would have done so anyway.

Stiles wasn't exactly paying attention in class, no surprise there, though he did take notice to how Jackson was eyeing up Rebeckah like she was a fresh piece of meat the entire time. Not that he cared or anything. Jackson could ogle whatever girl he wanted to, including Rebeckah. It wasn't a big deal. He did it all the time. Why Lydia was still with him was behind him, but it was whatever. He definitely didn't care. Not even a little bit.

Once class was finished, Rebeckah gathered all her things together before she started to walk out of class, towards her locker to get her things for English. She raised an eyebrow when Jackson leaned against the locker next to hers and gave her a smile, "Hey Beckah." He said. "Hi Jackson." She replied. Since when did he call her Beckah? Since when did anyone? "I just wanted to come tell you that you look amazing today. Seriously. I mean it. You should dress like this more often." He stated. She didn't know why, but she blushed. It was weird. She didn't even like the compliment that he gave her. It sounded weird coming from him for some reason, "Thank you." She replied, "I think." She added with a small laugh.

Derek laughed at her words, "Because you were taking forever to get ready. People who take long amounts of time to get ready don't get breakfast. But since you're my best friend, I think I can make an exception." He said before she spoke again. He nodded, "I know. I just hate this not knowing thing. It sucks. I want to know who did it. I want to know why they did it. And then I want to know the best way to kill that person." He stated with a frown.
