The Scandal

"Five years ago... This... This is a pattern. No way he waited five years to do this again. There might be more of them. Teddy, you and Patrick get to work on this. Go back years, every news story, picture, video of this man taken in the past five years. Look out for brown hair, pale skin, and blue eyes." She said, standing up to go and look at her computer.

"Gianna, put Ms. Arlene in the conference room, I want to talk to her." She said turning to Evelyn. "Look over the statement, tweak it however you'd like. Jason should be here soon and I want you to at least meet him to see if you're okay with this."

She sighed a little, chewing on her lip. She couldn't believe Tristan was involved, but it made sense. Tristan was probably one of the only ones who could stand a chance against her. It had changed the circumstances monumentally.

She nodded a little,"Alright," she said and took the paper in her hands as she read over the statement grabbing a pen in case she needed to edit it slightly, she didn't know how to handle this situation and she couldn't thank her father enough for getting her help even though she knew hoe disappointed her was in her.

She went into the other room, checking to see if Teddy and Patrick had anymore on this Arlene, then went in to meet her himself.

Arlenes story was almost identical to Evelyns. The main difference was, Arlene was paid to be silent. This was good and bad, especially because since she was paid, legally it is a confidentiality agreement, and using her would be grounds to sue. Alexandra got her information and made copies of the letter and check, handing it off to Warren to see what he could do to find a loophole.

Just as she was walking back into her office, Gianna told her that Jason was here and sent him back to meet Evelyn. Alexandra went into her office, seeing a new email from Tristan who was definitely the last name she wanted to be seeing at that moment.

Jason Blake ran a hand through his hair and sighed, heading up the familiar path toward Alexandra Summer's office. He owed her, which is why he didn't hesitate when she asked him this favor.

He had heard of the story, it was everywhere. It was even playing on the screens in the waiting room of the shop he worked at.

Gianna seemed to be waiting for him and immediately let him in, bringing him back towards the conference rooms.

When the door opened, even though he immediately recognized her he couldn't stop himself from being shocked. She was prettier in person, and it it made it a bit more real exactly what he was about to do.

Evelyn was seated at the desk and she was scribbling doodles on her notebook. It had all started with a leaked picture of she and William kissing in a hotel room, usually they were more careful but lately they had gotten reckless and she couldn't have guessed they'd get caught. Having gotten too comfortable she began to get careless, leaving doors open or curtains - coming out of hotels together and such which wasn't usually how things worked.

She head someone walk into the room and she looked over to the person, "Are you... Jason?" she asked him softly as she fiddled with her pen in her hand.

He smiled a little and walked over, reaching to shake her hand. "Yeah, hi. You must be Evelyn." He said softly, sitting down in the chair nearest her.

"Alexandra told me a bit about what she needs me to do, and I'm willing to help. She got me out of a similar situation, and she knows what she's doing. I owe her anything she asks. So I'm ready to help however I can." He said earnestly, leaning back against the chair.

She nodded,"So you slept with a politician too?" she teased as she looked at him, she hadn't lied he was quite attractive. He was very muscular and had a nice build to him something she found very apealing.

He laughed a little and shook his head. "Not quite, but yeah. She was a celebrity who was also married. She didn't tell me, and I didn't follow tv enough to know. So when it became public I became the target." He said honestly.

"I was told that we can decide the terms of our relationship, as long as to the public it looks strong. So we can go about it however you're comfortable with." Now he really owed Alexandra. She was beautiful in person, and he felt comfortable around her. Like this would be easy , because they would get along well.

She nodded a little as she listened to what he said, "Alright well, we can go have dinner tonight if you want," she smiled as she looked at him, "Or we can go to coffee then, I'll bring you lunch tomorrow while you work?" she offered as she chewed on her lip.

"What do you think?" she asked him.

"All of those sound great. I can pick you up tonight at 7? Or we could go out for coffee and lunch, if you're not busy?" He suggested with a small smile.

"What kinds of foods do you like? Do you like Italian?"

"I love Italian, and Chinese food but I'll take cold mac and cheese any day - and cold pizza," she nodded a little, "Both are my favorites," she said to him.

"I am free - we can do dinner tonight if you're not busy, my schedule is pretty free besides school which is three days a week," she explained.

He smiled a little. "Alright, then I'll pick you up at 7? We can go out for Italian or Chinese, I'm not picky, I love both." He laughed a little.

"Here's my number, we can plan out where we want to go later on around your classes and my job." He said, pulling out his cellphone.

Alexandra walked in, going to check and see how Jason and Evelyn were doing. "Hey, how's everything going? I see you've both met." She sighed, looking at the statement. "All finished with that?"

She smiled a little and nodded,"Alright, well here is my number," she said as she scribbled it down on a piece of paper, "And you can pick me up, here is my address," Evelyn smiled a little then looked at Alexandra.

"Yes, I'm done," she said handing her the statement, "I only changed a few things here and there nothing major,"

She took the paper and read it over, seeing what was changed. "Alright, this is great. I'll have this released asap so we can get this started as soon as possible."
"Is everything going well with you both? It's extremely important you both are seen together, but remember to have fun with it."

"Everything is great. We're planning to go out for dinner tonight," Jason smiled, reaching for the paper.

She nodded a little,"Yeah we're good," she said to her then looked at him, "Did your analtsty make anything of the papers I gave them," she asked curiously.

"Based on the emails and texts we've seen, and Arlene coming in, this is definitely a pattern. Problem is, if like Arlene, he paid them for their silence, it becomes a search for a loophole. Since technically they signed a confidentially agreement. Which means we may not be able to use them as proof if a loophole can't be found." She explained softly.

Evelyn nodded a little as she sighed,"Well, what if they only paid her - if she didn't sign anything then they have no hold over her right?" she questioned as she crossed her legs.

"Then it would be much easier. Hopefully the others don't, however Arlene had a letter. Teddy has it, so I'm not sure if she signed it or not. If she did, we can't use her. If she didn't, finding the others will help." She explained.

She nodded a little,"Well, keep me informed?" she said to her lightly, "I'd like to know everything before it hits the news," she explained.

"Of course. The second we know anything, we'll tell you first. As of right now, however there's not much for you to do here." She said with a shrug. "You're free to go until we need you here again."

She nodded a little,"Alright, thanks, "she smiled at her then stood up, "Come by at seven and I"ll be ready," she said to him, "Casual or semi casual?"
